MAVIN:

After my bath, I stepped out to my bedroom and dressed in a casual blue top and black pants. I walked to the mirror to comb my short black hair.

I stared at my neck as I felt sore, and I noticed scratch marks there from when I was taking my bath. I saw her fingernail scratches on my skin.

I frowned, and my mind flashed to the moment I had entered her warmth.

I couldn't bring myself to stop, and I held my head to stop the pain at the remembrance.

As much as the medicine had cleared off me, I still had a headache, and I thought to give Sir Adam and the rest of the staff a serious warning.

Sir Adam was a fifty-three-year-old man who had been with me for long and liked calling me boss.

He said he called me boss "to motivate me and to remind me of who I am and my rank in City B."

I sighed as I walked away from the mirror. I finished applying my perfume, left my room, and went downstairs to accompany my grandfather to the hospital as promised.

Grandpa smiled all through like one who had won a trophy. He was already neatly dressed in a brown garment, and as I took my seat in the dining room across from him, I told him, "Grandpa, I'm not happy with what you did earlier."

"What did I do wrong?" Grandpa's smile was still bright, and I knew he knew exactly what he did.

"Aren't you the one who arranged and sent that lady to me? Why?" I felt annoyed, as I had gone through his will, and he stated that if I didn't get married before the year ended, then he would give out his company and hotel now that he was still alive.

"Don't ask me why, Mavin, and it's not like she was ugly. Do you like the woman that Adam brought to you yesterday? We can search for her and bring her back," Grandpa said, as he waited for Angela to step out from the kitchen with his herbal tea.

"No. I don't need her, and don't try to do that with me again," I warned.

"Hmm," Grandpa hummed.

Angela was the head maid in my home, as the luxurious mansion belonged to me.

I built it five years ago when I turned 24, and we moved out from the old family house, which was our general family house and Grandpa's house.

"Good morning, boss. What should I serve you?" Angela politely asked me, as she was done serving Grandpa his tea the way he liked it.

I stared away from Grandpa to stare at Angela's fair face, as she was a middle-aged woman.

Most of the staff working in my mansion were older women, except for the younger maids that were recently employed, whom I wasn't so familiar with, as my mansion was vast.

"Just tea and bread, and make it fast, because we're already running late," I replied.

I stared at the dining room wall clock and saw it was 9 a.m.

I sighed, as I knew Grandpa's treatment time was around 10 a.m. with his doctor, so I waited for Angela to serve my breakfast.

Through with my tea with Grandpa on the dining table, I stood up and escorted him out to my car. He sat in the backseat, I shut the back door, and entered my driving seat, as I drove my car around town by myself.

I arrived at the magnificent Saint Peter Hospital in City B, stepped down, and walked over to assist Grandpa as we both walked into the hospital.

So far, my mind kept thinking about Thelma—the blonde beauty, and whenever I stared at any lady with blonde hair, my mind seized, thinking the blonde lady was her.

"Oh," I grimaced.

Grandpa stared at my face and asked, "What's the matter, Mavin? Are you still thinking about her?"

"No, Grandpa," I replied, as I escorted him to wait in the OPD waiting room.

I took out my phone, slid the phone screen open, and placed a call to my office assistant, Henry Black.

"Hello, Boss," Henry spoke first.

"Inform Mrs. Tonia Briggs that I won't be arriving at the office on time," I let Henry know, as he was my assistant in the office, helping me monitor all company activities in my absence.

"Alright, boss," Henry replied, and I ended the call and continued to sit, waiting for the queue to reduce and for it to get to Grandpa's turn.

Soon we stood up and walked into the doctor's office. Even as Grandpa was 75 years old, he could still walk without a walking stick and was still mischievous in nature.

"Good morning, Mr. White," Doctor Amari Hanks smiled at us, as she was Grandpa's favorite doctor.

Grandpa loved women treating him. "How are you feeling today, Grandpa?" she asked.

"Good," Grandpa replied shortly. I sat in silence, as my mind was still preoccupied with thoughts about that lady from the previous night.

With the fact that Sir Adam spoke to me about not paying her, I felt guilty as I kept remembering all the nasty things that I had done to her body.

I couldn't believe that the sex drug, or whatever was given to me, would have such a solid effect on me. I really needed to find that lady, to clear her off and pay her, so I would stop feeling guilt.

"Are you feeling fine today, Mr. Mavin?" Doctor Amari called me by my first name, and I met her large brown eyes.

"Yes. Attend to my grandpa first, as I'm not a patient," I spoke.

"But you're sweating despite the air conditioning still on in my office. And sometimes it's good to do a bodily checkup too, and not wait until your body totally collapses before you do a checkup," Doctor Amari advised politely.

"Okay, Doc, I will put that into consideration, but not today, because I didn't plan to do any checkup and I have a business meeting to attend by noon," I replied, despite still feeling pain.

"Hmm, it's just friendly advice, Mr. Mavin, and I can run a quick checkup on you if you want," Doctor Amari smiled at me. Even as she was a married woman, she still had a flirtatious tongue that irritated me.

She was a horny doctor, and it was written all over her face with the way her large brown eyes shone at me like a happy puppy.

At least now I understood better why Dr. Amari had so many patients, because even those who weren't sick would love to visit her hospital just to have her touch their skin.

I guessed that's why Grandpa always loved visiting her hospital, as the hospital belonged to her family and had been passed down to her. It was an old, but mighty hospital.

I heard Dr. Amari was happily married, and I'm sure Grandpa would have been wishing she was single so he could propose to her on my behalf.

But then, I didn't like her and only tolerated her flirtatious face because of my grandpa.

"Grandpa, you look so happy today. What's the good news about?" Doctor Amari asked him with a smile, as she was done checking his vitals.

Grandpa smiled and replied, "I'm just happy to meet with you today, Doc."

"Mm," Doctor Amari blushed, and her large brown eyes shone again, reminding me of the large blue eyes that I had seen earlier.

"That's good. I have written out some of your medication, and you can meet with the nurses on duty to hand it over to you before you leave. Thank you for visiting us today, Grandpa," she said to Grandpa and me, as we stood up to leave her office.

"Thanks," Grandpa replied, but I didn't speak a word as I exited her office with Grandpa. We collected the medicine and went back home.
