Mavin POV
After my bath, I stepped into my bedroom to put on a casual blue top and black trousers.
I walked toward my room mirror to comb my short black hair; I don’t keep a beard. As I stared at my neck, I felt sore and noticed scratch marks from fingers around it. I knew it was Thelma's doing.
I frowned as my mind replayed the moment I had entered into her warmth. I was starting to remember more clearly what had happened between me and Thelma.
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t bring myself to stop making love with her the previous night.
My head ached at the memories, and I groaned out of annoyance.
"Damn it!" As much as the medicine Sir Adam had given me had worn off, I was still experiencing hot flashes and headaches.
I thought about warning Sir Adam never to try such nonsense with me again or to follow my grandpa's orders. If he did, he would be fired and dealt with—perhaps even thrown in jail.
Sir Adam is a 53-year-old man who has been with me for a long time. He likes calling me "boss" because he says it motivates him and reminds him of my rank and position in City B.
I sighed and finally walked away from the mirror, finished applying my perfume, and left my bedroom to accompany my grandfather to the hospital as promised.
Grandpa was smiling throughout, like someone who had won a trophy. He was already neatly dressed in a brown garment. I walked toward the dining room to have breakfast with him.
I took my seat at the long golden dining table, settling into a chair across from my grandfather.
"Grandpa, I'm not happy with what you did last night," I told him.
"Why do you think I did something wrong, Mavin?" Grandpa's smile remained bright on his old face. I knew he was aware of what he had done.
"Aren't you the one who arranged for Sir Adam to send that young lady to me last night? Why, Grandpa?" I was very angry to say such things since I had gone through my grandfather's will, which stated that if I didn’t marry before the year ended, he would give all his companies and hotels to the poor while he was still alive.
I had only two months left before the year ended, and today was October 18.
"Don't ask me why, Mavin. It's not like she's ugly. Or don't you like the young woman that Adam brought to you last night? We can search for her again and bring her back if you want her or find another woman for you," Grandpa said, waiting for Angela to step out of the kitchen with his herbal tea. I replied, "No, Grandpa... I don't need her again. And don't ever try to do that with me again. I won't take it lightly with you." I slightly warned my grandpa, and he hummed, "Hmm..."
Angela is the head maid in my mansion. The luxurious mansion belongs to me; I bought it five years ago when I turned 30 years old.
We moved out from the old family house, which was also Grandpa's house.
"Good morning, boss. What should I serve you this morning?" Angela politely asked me as she finished serving my grandfather his herbal tea, prepared just the way he liked it.
I sighed and looked away from my grandpa's face to focus on Angela's yellow face.
She was a middle-aged woman, and most of the female staff working in my mansion were also middle-aged, except for the younger maids who were recently employed. I wasn't very familiar with them since my mansion is quite spacious, with many rooms.
"Just tea and bread. Make it fast, as we're already running late," I told Angela, glancing at the dining room clock, which read 9 AM.
I sighed again, knowing that my grandpa's treatment time was around 10 AM with his doctor. So I waited for Angela to serve my breakfast.
Once I was through with my tea at the dining table with Grandpa, I stood up and escorted him outside to my car. He sat in the back seat, and I closed the door for him before hopping into the driver's seat.
I started the engine and drove out of my premises. As I drove around the city, I soon arrived at Saint Peter Hospital in City B.
I parked my car in the hospital parking lot.
I stepped out and walked over to the passenger side door to assist my grandpa in getting out, and we walked into the hospital lobby.
My mind kept drifting back to the pretty yellow lady I had slept with the previous night.
The way her body had felt so soft was making me harder. Whenever I saw a pretty blonde lady in the OPD section of the hospital, my heart would skip a beat, thinking maybe that blonde lady was Thelma.
"Oh no!" I grimaced, and my grandpa glanced at me and asked, "What's the matter with you, Mavin? Are you still thinking about that young lady?"
"No, Grandpa," I replied coldly. We walked to sit on a chair as I escorted him to the OPD waiting room.
I took out my phone and swiped the screen to unlock it. I immediately called my office assistant, Henry Black.
"Hello, boss," Henry said as soon as the call connected, answering on the second ring.
"Inform Mrs. Tonia Briggs that I won't be arriving at the office on time today. I took Grandpa to the hospital, and she should reschedule most of my business meetings with the top clients for noon. You can attend to the rest that are arriving," I told Henry. He is my trusted assistant, helping me monitor all my company activities in my absence.
"Alright, boss. Anything else?" Henry asked.
"No, that's all," I replied.
I ended the call and continued waiting for the queue to reduce until it was my grandpa's turn.
Eventually, we stood up from the guest seats and walked into the doctor's office.
Grandpa is an 85-year-old man; yet he can walk without a cane and still has a mischievous nature.
"Good morning, Mr. White," Doctor Amari Hanks smiled at us. She is my grandpa's favorite doctor.
Grandpa enjoys being treated by women, and Doctor Amari asked him, "How are you feeling today, Grandpa Charlie White?"
"I'm good, Doc," Grandpa replied with a smile, but I remained silent as I sat beside him.
My mind was preoccupied with new memories of the previous night between me and Thelma again.
The fact that Sir Adam had told me he hadn’t paid Thelma off made me feel guilty. I kept remembering all the nasty things I had done to her when we made love.
I couldn't believe what Sir Adam had given me would have such a strong effect.
I really needed to find Thelma quickly so I could pay her off for the night we shared and stop feeling guilty about my actions.
"Are you feeling fine today, Mr. Mavin?" Doctor Amari asked me, as she prefers to call me by my name.
I met her big brown eyes staring at me and replied, "Yes, I'm fine... Attend to my grandpa first, as I'm not a patient," I said.
"But you're sweating, despite the air conditioning in my office. Sometimes, it’s good to do a check-up on yourself and not wait until your body completely collapses before getting one," Doctor Amari advised politely.
I replied, "Okay, Doc. I will keep that in mind, but not today. I didn't plan on getting a check-up, and I have a business meeting at noon."
I was still feeling pain, but I didn’t want to be confined to a hospital bed.
Doctor Amari smiled sadly and said, "Hmm, it’s just friendly advice, Mr. Mavin. But I can run a quick check-up on you if you want it to go quickly."
Doctor Amari is a married woman, yet she has a flirtatious tone that irritates me. As a young lady, she certainly has an alluring presence.
It's quite evident on her face and in her body language, and the way her big brown eyes shine seductively at me—like a happy puppy.
At least now I understand why she has so many patients waiting outside her office. Even those who aren't truly sick would love to visit her just to feel her touch.
I guessed that’s why my grandpa also enjoys visiting her hospital. The hospital belongs to her family and has been passed down to her as her inheritance since it’s an enormous building.
I heard she is happily married, and I’m sure my grandpa would have liked her to be single so he could propose on my behalf.
However, I didn't like her and only tolerated her flirtatious nature because she is now my family doctor.
"Grandpa, you look so happy today. What’s the good news?" Doctor Amari finally asked.
Grandpa smiled as she finished checking his vitals. He replied, "I'm just happy to see you today, Doc."
“Mm,” Doctor Amari blushed, her big brown eyes shining again, reminding me of the big blue-eyed lady I had slept with the previous night.
"That's good to hear, Grandpa. I’ve written out some of your new medications, and you can meet with the nurses on duty to retrieve them before you leave. Thank you for visiting us today, Grandpa," Doctor Amari said as we prepared to leave her office.
"Thanks," Grandpa replied, but I didn’t say a word as we exited her office and headed home shortly after collecting Grandpa's medicine from the hospital pharmacy.
**Mavin's POV**After I had escorted my grandpa home and took him to his room downstairs, I ensured that my grandpa drank his medicine before I left him to the care of Angela and went back upstairs to my bedroom.I went into my closet and changed my casual clothes into a blue suit, setting out to leave for the company. As I had a business meeting at noon with my shareholders and partners.I had already contacted Henry Black to reschedule the business meeting for the afternoon and let my secretary know that I wouldn't be arriving at the company on time.It was Saturday though, October 18, and I took my time to dress up properly in my room. As the business meeting included meeting with other foreign partners that I work with. Even as Grandpa Charlie had disconnected his company's association from mine, except I marry to give him a great-grandchild or impregnate someone before the year's end.I knew I still had to work very hard to control my Grandpa's company too. Although, It was only a
**Thelma's POV**I woke up in my bedroom on a brand new day. I sat up carefully in bed and finally slid out.I walked towards my room window and pushed the curtains slightly open to stare out at my father's garage.I saw my elder brother, Steven Sabastain, standing there and speaking to a bodyguard outside in our garage. It was as if Steven felt my intense gaze on him.He turned and stared upward at my room window, but I quickly shut the curtains. I wasn't ready to greet him.I knew it would lead to me shouting out, "Good morning, brother." But I wasn't ready for all that greeting, as I still felt embarrassed by the fact that the previous day I looked so red in front of them, and I was plastered with love kiss marks all over my fair skin and face.I had to begin my business training since I had graduated with distinction. But I didn't know if my father would allow me to go outside our mansion again and work with the company I had chosen and submitted my application to. As my mother did
**Thelma's POV**I finished eating my breakfast in my bedroom, stood up from the chair, and walked to the mirror to stare at my beautiful yellow reflection again.I have a sharp, pointed nose, and my blue eyes were also sharp and enchanting. I smiled as I walked away from the mirror and stripped off my clothes to take a bath.I stepped into the bathtub and bathed quickly, as I still wanted to meet with my father, knowing that I had been avoiding him since the previous day too.I sighed, knowing that my mother was partially right about me being a dummy, and I shouldn't have paid any heed to Sandra and Ella's words. As they were closer to each other than to me. Sometimes, they behaved jealously because my parents were richer than theirs, and my father's company had won many prestigious awards and recognition in City B.My mom actually wanted me to take over my dad's company instead of my elder brother, Steven Sabastian. As Mom only acknowledged Steven as her adopted son. Even though she
**Thelma's POV**I picked up an orange scarf in my closet and wrapped it around my neck before I walked out of my room. I went downstairs to the living room to find my parents, as it was Sunday and the time was still after 10 a.m.Walking downstairs into our living room, I heard my father's voice as he was speaking to my mom. I continued into the living room and met their gazes. They stopped discussing as they heard my footsteps, and I stood frozen like a sacrificial lamb awaiting slaughter."Good afternoon, Dad, Mom," I nervously greeted my parents. I could feel the aura in the living room tense up as my dad stared at me, and I heard him respond, "Good morning, Thelma. Aren't you going to church today?""No, Dad," I breathed out in relief because I thought my dad would reprimand me for what I had done the day before yesterday, which was Friday. But Dad was smiling at me, which made me a little curious to know why he had that bright smile on his face instead of glaring at me for bringi
**Steven's POV**I stared at my father's face as he sat on the living room's black couch. It hurt me to see my only younger sister crying and running away angrily after she left her room. Thelma had been hiding there all day because of the red kissing marks that were partially visible and plastered all over her neck and cheeks.I wondered how she got to celebrate her birthday at LX Hotel and how our Father even granted her permission for that. By allowing her to go out with her friends for the first time in Thelma's life to celebrate her birthday outside of our home.Thelma has never been a public figure like myself, and no one knew she was my father's daughter. There was only speculation that my parents had another child besides me, a girl. Not many were bothered to search for Thelma's identity online, as my dad hadn't posted anything about her."Dad, I do not think it's a bad idea if Thelma goes to work with them, especially since she will still be resuming with us. It's only for her
Steven's POV:"Hmm... Why are you still here, Steven?" Father asked me as he finally looked back at my face.I replied to him, "Dad... we aren't done talking about Thelma starting her internship tomorrow at MW Group. Please, Dad... let's just give her a chance and support her for once..." I said."Support Thelma, you say, Steven. Didn't you see the kissing marks all over your sister's neck and face? Did you bother to ask her who she went out and slept with?"I sighed and replied, "No, Dad.""Didn't we support Thelma? We supported her going out to celebrate her birthday for the first time in a hotel, even when she refused to tell us the name of the hotel. As she only told your mother, and that her friends made the arrangements and she could not say no to them because they were the ones who paid for the birthday celebration and organized everything for her. We thought it wasn't a bad idea and allowed your sister to go there. And now look at the mess she came back home looking like... and
Thelma's POV:"Said what?" Steven asked me again, and I shook my head as I contemplated telling him the truth, that the man I had slept with was drugged to sleep with me, and he was very angry to know that I was in his bed the following morning too."Thelma..." Steven called to my attention again, and I said, "I mean, I don't know his name, brother, but can you tell Dad that I need some time to get over the man I had a one-night stand with before the marriage...""No, Thelma, that's only if you know the name of the man you slept with, and maybe Dad can consider you marrying the man instead of Felix... So do you remember his name now or what his butler called him?" Steven asked, and I shook my head and replied, "No... I only remember the butler's name, as Sir Adam...""Adam what?" Steven asked, as he looked at my face seriously, but I didn't know."Hmm, it's okay, sister... I have already convinced Dad to allow you to do your internship at MW Group, and you know why the group is called
Thelma's POV:I woke up late at night in my bedroom, with the sound of knocking on my room door waking me from sleep.I stood up from my bed and walked to my room door to find out who was there, as sleep was very far from my eyes.I approached my room door and pulled it open, and I saw my mother standing there. She frowned at me as I made way for her to walk into my bedroom."Good evening, Mom." I greeted Mother as I finally shut my room door closed and turned to face her. She asked me,"Thelma, didn't I tell you to remind me today that we would be going to the hospital. I totally forgot about it, due to my disagreement with your father about having you betrothed to Felix? And you didn't even come to remind me of it. Why, Thelma?"I frowned and replied to her, "Mom, I told you that I'm fine, and I cannot remember anything wrong with me or the man.""I know, Thelma, and I'm not disputing that with you, but for safety measures, I think it is best that you branch into Doctor Amari's offic
[Thelma's POV:]I stared back at the huge white door in front of me, afraid of the masculine figure that wanted to step out.Knowing that Sir Adam had told me to go into the room, I was scared and stood nervously in my long red gown.I could hear the scattering of something inside the room, and I was seriously afraid, feeling the need to pee in my pants. Before I knew it, I was taking some steps backward, as I could hear the sound of the imposing footsteps approaching the door. As I jumped back to scramble out of the room, just then, the door unlocked.A tall man in a white top and black shorts walked out. He stared at me in shock as his silver eyes met my blue orbs."Who the hell are you?" He asked, taken aback by my presence.I was struck in awe by the man's handsomeness. He was a dark-skinned man, very handsome, with silver eyes and a formidable figure.I struggled to say who I am as I stared at him in disbelief. The man held his head like he was in pain and staggered to meet me."
Mavin.Three months had past since I lastly went to Conrad Sabastain mansion. Steven didn't want to speak with me, nor to allow me into their company as their bodyguards were very mean.I went to take my bath in my bathroom as it was a bright Monday morning and I was in my bedroom on the second floor of my mansion.I had a lot of works to do in office, so I went to bath as the time was still after 7am, and the day was September 15 on the calendar.I felt a bit familiar with the date, knowing that the day seem special but I couldn't pinpoint what exactly it was as my rather was rather preoccupied with going to my company. The year was almost coming to an end again, and I had to prepare for the end of the year awards.Although I hadn't seen any new company in city B that could compete with mine so I was not even bothered.I stepped out from my bathroom as I was through with my bath. I dried my short black jet hair and also applied my body cream before I wore my black suit and set to lea
Thelma.I heard my father yelling at someone at the garage, and I rushed out to my room balcony to find out who was that?.I saw Mavin leaving, just before I could call him back. He looked so handsome In his black suit and finally got into his car and left."Mavin! Ah!" I felt my water broke, and my babies were coming out."Ah! My tummy!" I winced out again, and my older brother immediately rushed upstairs to my room, Like he heard my voice."Thelma, are you alright?" Steven asked me, as he looked worried, rushing up to meet me, and at the same time angry."My babies, They are coming out Steven" I told Steven, and he assisted me, while we went downstairs to his carI was taken to the hospital, crying as I really wanted to know what happened earlier. Why did my father sent Mavin White away?"Thelma you have to push your babies out now," My mother said to me, and I was crying seriously."No, Mom, I want to see Mavin, why did father send him away?" I inquired from my mother."Come on, The
Thelma.I couldn't believe what Mavin told me,that he really missed me, and wanted me back in his life."Hmm, " I was unable to speak as I contemplated to tell Mavin that I am pregnant with him."But you know that my.father won't accept to our affair. What are we going to do now?" I asked, as I was calm now speaking to Mavin on the phone call."Not to worry. I will come to see your family soon," Mavin assured me, and I asked him, "Will you be able to come here? I mean, do you know my family house address?""Of course, I will come to see you soon. Not to worry," Mavin assured me, and I sighed. "Okay, good night then," I said."Yes, You too," Mavin replied and the phone call with him finally ended.I kept looking at my phone screen for a while, even after my phone call with Mavin White ended.I don't know if to believe him or not . On what he said about coming to see my family. But I really wanted to believe him that he would visit us.I finally stood up from my bed, and went to locked
THELMA:'Is this a dream?' - I had asked myself, as I couldn't believe that Mavin would really messaged me."No, Is not a dream" I said, and typed my response to him - "I am fine and you?.*Good* - Mavin replied. He didn't even waited a single second and I wonder what he's up too?.Is he missing me like I missed him too?.Does he want to speak with me?.I was afraid but at the same time curious to know.I got a message notification popup from him, and he asked - *How about your family?.*I frowned and wondered if Mavin also knew about the fact that Steven and him were brothers, Yet he slept with me and pretended like he knew nothing about it.I didn't replied and felt sadder. I remember the day that Mavin had sent me away from his office tooHe had s*X with me in his office. Yet he was so bold to throw me out and not even glancing at me again. The anger in his eyes on that very day was enough to show to me, how much of disgust that he had for meI kept staring at my phone screen in si
MAVIN:I went to inspect the new company as it's a working Monday morning. So far Grandpa hadn't been disturbing me about marrying anyone again, even as it is a brand new year.I was still contemplating on my decision in going to Thelma's father mansion and to ask for her hand in marriage.I closed at my office at 5pm, and I stood up to leave for home. I only arrived at the company to inspect the progress levels of the new companies that I visited and to save the records on my computer and sign out for the day.I wore a black trouser and ash grey shirt with my suit jacket rested on my right arm while I left the company building and went outside to my carI got into my car, as I had a hectic day.I started my car engine and drove homeArriving home, I saw Grandpa seated at the garden while I parked my car and locked it up before walking up to meet him there. The sun had gone down, and Grandpa smiled as he watch me approaching him."Good evening Grandpa" - I greeted and he smiled."Welc
Thelma Sabastain:I finished drinking my tea in the dinning room and watched Steven stood up from the dinning seat across to me."I am already leaving now to work" - Steven informed me. I replied - "Okay brother."I sighed after Steven left our mansion as since when mother and father had gone upstairs, After father angrily walked away from the living room. I was left alone and I stood up from the dinning chair and walked towards the living room staircase before I climbed on it and went upstairs my bedroom.I was still a little worried now knowing that Mavin and Steven were related and half brothers.I sighed - "Hmm" and pushed my room door opened, before I walked into my bedroom.I approached the headboard where I kept my phone the previous day, I took my phone and decided to switched it on, as I hadn't charged it since, nor caring to know what was happening in the outside world.I switched on my phone and searched about Mavin White. I want to see his face again and felt like I had si
Thelma.I didn't want to know what Steven wanted, so I ignored greeting him as I couldn't believe that he would supported father, in not informing Mavin that I'm pregnant for him."Sister." - Steven spoke, as he walked up to my bed to meet me.My room was very wide, and by bed was positioned in the centre of my bedroom."What do you want?, just leave me alone and leave my room too" - I said, still wanting Steven to leave and not looking at his face."I know that you're angry with me sister, But I think Father made the best decision so that you don't have anything doing with Mavin again.."I didn't said anything. That had always been Steven words, so if he didn't have anything important to say to me, He can as well walk out from my room, just as he walked inside now."Thelma, So you have no idea why Father doesn't want you to marry Mavin?" - Steven questioned, and I replied - "No. Mavin doesn't want me, So why should I be bothered if father want me to marry Mavin or not.. My point is w
Mavin White:"Empty threat.. Come on Grandpa, I have told you that I still don't like women, I want Thelma, And seeing Steven today at the event centre.. I just feel guilty for not asking him of Thelma., is not like I don't know the family circle that surround us now, but I still want Thelma back, I miss her."Grandpa shook his head in pity and said - "Conrad will never approved of you both relationship Mavin.. The earliest you look for another woman and forget about Thelma. It doesn't seem right and you should see her like your sisiter, as her father and your father were best friends before in the past, more like brothers. If not Julie that left Conrad and her little son to have an affair with your father..""Hmm, Do you think I'm not dad's son truly, with the way Father kept calling me a bastard?" - I asked Grandpa sadly, and knowing that Grandpa had raised me alone, while my father rejected me, and my mother, I couldn't speak of her now, after seeing that she's pregnant at her age.
