CHAPTER 5

(Mavin's POV)

Through with my bath, I stepped out to my bedroom to wear a casual blue top and black trousers. I walked towards my room mirror to comb my short, black hair, as I didn't keep a beard, and I stared at my neck as I felt sore and had finger-scratched marks around it. When I was taking my bath, I knew it was Thelma's doing.

I frowned, and my mind remembered the moment I had entered into her warmth. I was beginning to have a full remembrance of what had happened between Thelma and me.

I couldn't bring myself to stop the previous night, no matter how I tried, and my head was aching at the remembrance while I groaned out in annoyance.

"Damn it!" As much as the medicine or whatever drug that Sir Adam had given me had cleared off, I was still having hot flashes and a headache.

I thought to warn Sir Adam again never to try such nonsense on me or to follow my grandpa's orders, or else he would be fired and dealt with by throwing him in jail.

Sir Adam is a 53-year-old man, and he has been with me for a long time, liking to call me "boss." He said he usually called me that "to motivate me and to remind me of my rank and who I am in City B."

I sighed and finally walked away from my room mirror. I was through applying my perfume while I left my bedroom and went downstairs to accompany my grandfather to the hospital as promised.

Grandpa was smiling all throughout, like one who had won a trophy. He was already neatly dressed in a brown garment. I walked towards the dining room to have my breakfast with him.

I took my seat at the long, golden dining table, settling on a dining chair that was across from my Grandfather, and I told Grandpa, "Grandpa, I'm not happy with what you did earlier last night."

"Why, did I do wrong, Mavin?" Grandpa's smile was still very bright on his old face, and I knew that he knew exactly what he had done.

"Aren't you the one who arranged with Sir Adam to send that young lady to me last night? Why, Grandpa?" I was very angry to say such, as I had gone through my grandfather's will, and he stated that if I don't marry before the year ends, then he will give out his company and hotel to the poor, now that he was still alive. And I have only two months left before the year ends already, as the day was October 18th.

"Don't ask me why, Mavin. And it's not like she's ugly. Or don't you like the young woman that Adam brought to you yesterday night? As we can search for her again and bring her back to you, if you want her back or look for another woman for you," Grandpa said, as he awaited for Angela to step out of the kitchen with his herbal tea. But I replied, "No, Grandpa... I don't need her again. And don't ever try to do such with me again. I won't take it lightly with you," I slightly warned my grandpa, and he hummed, "Hmm."

Angela is the head maid in my mansion. The luxurious mansion belonged to me since I bought it five years ago, when I had turned 24 years old. We packed out from the old family house, which was our general family house and Grandpa's house too.

"Good morning, boss, what should I serve you this morning?" Angela politely asked me, as she was done serving my grandfather his herbal tea, the way he likes it.

I sighed and stared away from my Grandpa's face to stare at Angela's yellow face. As she was a middle-aged woman, and most of the female staff working in my mansion were all middle-aged, well, except for the younger maids who were recently employed, that I wasn't so familiar with, as my mansion is very big with a lot of rooms.

"Just tea and bread. Make it fast, as we're already running late," I told Angela and stared away from her to the dining room wall clock. I saw it was 9 am.

I sighed, as I knew that my grandpa's treatment time was around 10 am with his doctor. And so, I waited for Angela to serve out my breakfast too.

Through with my tea, with Grandpa on the dining table, I stood up and escorted my Grandpa outside to my car, while he sat in the backseat, and I shut the back door for him and hopped into the driver's seat.

I started my car engine and drove out from my premises. As I drove around the city by myself, I arrived at the magnificent Saint Peter Hospital in City B, and drove into the hospital parking lot and parked my car.

I stepped down from my car and walked over towards the second side door to assist my Grandpa in stepping down, while we walked into the hospital lobby.

So far, my mind had kept on thinking about the pretty, yellow lady that I had slept with the previous night. The way her body was so soft and made me harder. And whenever I stared at any pretty, yellow lady with blonde hair in the OPD section of the hospital, my mind would skip a beat at times, thinking the blonde lady was Thelma.

"Oh, oh!" I grimaced, and my grandpa stared at my face and asked me, "What's the matter with you, Mavin? Are you still thinking about the young lady again?"

"No, Grandpa," I replied coldly. As we walked to sit on a chair, I escorted Grandpa to wait in the OPD waiting room.

I took out my phone and slid the phone screen to unlock, as I immediately placed a call across to my office assistant named Henry Black.

"Hello, Boss. Good morning," Henry Black spoke to me immediately, as soon as the phone call connected, since he answered on the second ring.

"Inform Mrs. Tonia Briggs that I won't be arriving at the office on time today. As I went to the hospital with my Grandpa, and she should reschedule most of my business meetings with the top clients at noon. While you can attend to the rest that are arriving," I let Henry know. As he is my trusted assistant in the office, helping me monitor all my company activities in my absence.

"Alright, boss. Anything else?" Henry asked me, and I replied, "No. That's all."

I immediately ended the phone call and continued to sit, waiting for the queue to reduce and for it to be Grandpa's turn.

Soon, we finally stood up from the guest seat and walked into the doctor's office.

Grandpa is an 75-year-old man, yet he could walk without a walking stick and was still mischievous in nature.

"Good morning, Mr. White," Doctor Amari Hanks smiled at us. As she is my Grandpa's favorite doctor.

Grandpa loves the women to be treating him and touching him, and Doctor Amari asked my Grandpa, "How are you feeling today, Grandpa Charlie White?"

"I'm good, Doc," Grandpa replied with a smile, but I was silent as I sat beside Grandpa on the guest chair, while my mind was rather preoccupied with new memories of the previous night between Thelma and me again.

With the fact that Sir Adam had told me he didn't pay Thelma off, I felt guilty as I kept on remembering all the nasty things I had done to her when I was making love to her.

I couldn't believe that what Sir Adam had given me would have such a strong effect. And I really needed to find Thelma quickly so I could pay her off for the night we spent together and stop feeling guilty about my actions with her.

"Are you feeling fine today, Mr. Mavin?" Doctor Amari asked me, as she loves calling me by my name instead.

I met her big, brown eyes staring at me, and I replied to her, "Yes, Doc, I'm fine... Attend to my grandpa first, as I'm not a patient," I said.

"But you're sweating much, despite the air conditioning on in my office. And sometimes, it's good to do a bodily checkup on yourself and not wait until your body totally collapses before you do a checkup," Doctor Amari advised me politely, and I replied to her, "Okay, Doc. I will put that into consideration, but not today, as I didn't plan to do any checkup, and I have a business meeting to attend to by 12 pm."

I was still feeling pain, but I didn't want to be confined in the hospital bed.

Doctor Amari smiled sadly and said to me, "Hmm, it's just a friendly advice, Mr. Mavin. But I can run a quick checkup on you if you want it fast."

Doctor Amari is a married woman, yet she still has a flirtatious tongue that irritated me the most. As she's a young lady and a horny doctor by her looks. It's so clearly written all over her face and her bodily movement, and with the way her big, brown eyes shone seductively at me, like a happy puppy.

At least now, I understood better why she has so many sick patients waiting outside her office door to see her and on the queue. As even those who were not truly sick would love to visit her hospital and have her touch their skin.

I guessed that's why my Grandpa also always loves to visit her hospital, as the hospital belongs to her family and was long passed down to her as her inheritance. Since the hospital was an enormous building.

I heard Dr. Amari was happily married with two kids, and I'm so sure that Grandpa would have been wishing that Doctor Amari was a single young lady, so he could propose to her on my behalf. But then, I didn't like her, and I was only tolerating her flirtatious face and tongue because of my grandpa and the fact that she's now my family doctor.

"Grandpa, you look so happy today. What's the good news about?" Doctor Amari finally asked Grandpa with a smile. As she was done checking Grandpa's vital signs. Grandpa smiled at her and replied, "I'm just happy to meet with you today, Doc."

"Mm," Doctor Amari blushed, and her big, brown eyes shone again, reminding me of the big, blue eyes of the lady I had slept with the previous night.

"That's good to hear, Grandpa. I have written out some of your new medication, and you can meet with the nurses on duty to hand it over to you before you leave. Thank you for visiting us today, Grandpa," Doctor Amari said to Grandpa as we stood up to leave her office.

"Thanks," Grandpa replied to her, but I didn't say a word as I finally exited her office with Grandpa. And we went home shortly after collecting Grandpa's medicine from the hospital pharmacy.
