7| Mother's inquiry

I woke up in my bedroom to find it was a brand new day. I sat up carefully on my bed and finally slid out.

I walked over to my room window and pushed the curtains slightly open to stare out at my father's garage.

I saw my older brother, Steven Sebastian, standing there and speaking to a bodyguard outside. It felt as though Steven sensed my intense gaze on him.

He turned and stared up at my room window, but I quickly shut the curtains. I wasn’t ready to greet him.

I knew it would lead to me shouting out, "Good morning, brother," but I wasn’t prepared for that. I still felt embarrassed about how red I had been the previous day in front of them, plastered with love marks on my skin and face.

I needed to focus on my business training since I had graduated. But I didn’t know if my father would allow me to leave our mansion again to work for the company I had chosen after submitting my application. My mother didn’t want me to learn under Steven.
