CHAPTER 15

**Thelma**

I stepped out of the elevator with the security guard, and we walked into another section of transparent offices.

I could see the company staff busy behind their desks, typing on their keyboards, and I silently followed the security guard as we walked and stopped in front of another office door.

He knocked and entered the office. As I stood outside waiting for him to step out, he didn’t tell me to follow him inside.

I watched him speak to the lady behind the desk, and she looked up at me.

The security guard finally stepped out of the office again and said to me, "You can go inside and see her."

"Okay, sir, thank you," I replied, and the security guard left.

I knocked on the office door again and walked into the transparent glass office. I could see that most of the offices around me had transparent glass walls separating them.

I stood nervously in front of the office desk and waited for the woman to finish what she was typing on her computer, as she looked to be about my mot
