The next day.
While Steven was making breakfast in the kitchen, he got a whiff of a fragrance attacking his nose from inhaling his food's aroma. Wrinkling his face in disgust, he threw his gaze at the staircase side, where that fragrance was coming from. His face expressed a hint of repulsiveness at Abby, who dressed elegantly like going to a party. Her quarter of fair, flawless skin was exposed in that dress, and her front neckbone too. She flipped back her pretty long, shiny hair, knowing Steven's eyes were tacked on her. As she came straight towards him, he regretted the decision he made to agree to her contract marriage. Despite her too much makeup messing up her style, it suited her dress well. "Are you going to attend the exam with this dress?" Steven asked, projecting a nauseated expression. "Yes," confidence swirled in her response. She peeked at the dishes he was making and smiled. "This is for me!" He strictly spoke and covered the pan from her sight. With broken happiness, she furrowed at him. "I don't know how to cook," she murmured with an ashamed-looking face. That got his. Despite that, he asked her to pardon her. He appeared to be enjoying her embarrassed moment. "I don't know how to cook." She pressurized each word, biting his teeth, acknowledging he was mocking her. A broad smile was born that brightened his face. He switched off the stove and putting the dishes on his plate, he declared, "Then learn!" She boiled in anger, glaring at him, who was going to have that tasty and healthy food all by himself. "Learn it, dear." He purposely teased her before picking up the spoon. Letting out an angry breath like a dangerous dragon, she heaved the dining sheets at light speed and smirked sarcastically at Steven, who was watching in shock as his desired prepared foods were being flown in the air along with the plates. His hankering eyes fell on those scattered breakfasts. He scuffed with annoyance, and when he lifted his grouchy-shooting eyes to scold Abby, he ended up in conflict. Because there was no one. "Here!" Abby's voice came from the front door. He twirled his attention to that aside without delay, switching to his choleric face. His inadequate hot breath disclosed his outrage. "I hope you won't eat alone from now on." She toned sarcastically and ran away immediately, knowing he would use his power to hold her. "This pi-" he tried hard to control his mouth from spilling words. However, he couldn't tolerate her crazy attitude. "I should've been careful with this wicked puppy!" He managed to blame himself for not being cautious. At last, he got over it by releasing a discouraged sigh, dazzling shriveled look at his gone-waste food. He then got ready to go to the office with a starving stomach. His left-over hope also got brought to the ground when he glimpsed his car wasn't in the front yard. He then rushedly searched for the key inside his pants and encountered another frustration right away. "Ahh!!!" He screamed out his resentment, which could pierce the bright sky. The lavish-looking car entered the college campus cooley, snatching everyone's envy and amazement. But everyone's amazed eyes turned into disgust once noticing the poor parking sense. However, Abby's unbeatable beauty and her elegant dress, which exposed her sexy curves, earned amazed eyes from them effortlessly. She flipped her hair back, precipitating a proud smile. And she even walked stylishly with that high heel, which was her first time wearing it. With her beauty, she didn't need to make an effort to catch those boys's sight. Everyone passing her and everyone she passed couldn't take their eyes off her spontaneously glowing face. On the way to reach the exam hall, she realized that she had forgotten to bring her hall tickets and other miscellaneous from the car. She tried to run back to the parking area. Unfortunately, she glanced at her crush, Duri, coming on her way. She veered around, covered her face, and was flustered, not knowing where to hide. To her luck, there was a gang of girls standing on the verandah involved in studying seriously. She mingled with them, keeping her hair to cover her face until he walked past her. Expectedly, he walked past her, failed to notice her, and also went inside the hall. Only then did she make her way toward the parking area. The bell rang. Exam began. She ran fast and showed her hall ticket hurriedly to the hall supervisor, who was standing at the door. He checked her hall ticket and stopped her from entering the hall when she excitedly stepped forward to enter. He stretched her hall ticket back. She was confused. "Why? This is me." She pointed out her picture in the hall ticket, expecting he would let her in. He gave a disapproval again. She blinked in confusion. Then she laughed proudly, dictating, "I'm wearing a little too much makeup today. That's why you are confused. Am I right?" The hall supervisor still did not accept her. "What's wrong?" She yelled in anger. Her stomping feet disclosed her rush for the exam. "I can't allow you inside with this dress. I offer you a half-hour excuse since you are a brilliant student. Make use of it." He informed her and went inside as her tiny good manner protected her from getting inside. "What's wrong with this dress? I'm just going to use my hand to write. What's writing to do with dress?" She muttered in a low voice anxiously. Meanwhile... At Steven's office. His male secretary, Levi, put the hot meal and a variety of dishes lined in front of Steven, whose mouth was drooling in starvation. Steven sipped a little amount of water and picked up the spoon to have a tasty breakfast. His phone puzzled and stopped him from taking the food. He glanced at it only to sigh irritatedly. That call was from Abby. He shook his head, biting his teeth in anger, and moved his spoon to carry the meal. The unstoppable notification sound caused him to lose his appetite. He threw the spoon away and hit the floor hard before falling on the floor. His secretary, Levi, was terrified and clung to the door in fear. Steven picked up his phone and dialed her furiously as Levi watched him with a shade of scare in his eyes. "What now?" Steven pressurized his tone and was visibly infuriated. Curiosity landed on Levi's face. He sharpened his ear to eavesdrop on their conversation. "I won't cause trouble while you're eating. You can eat alone. And you don't need to cook for me. I will learn to cook by myself." Abby voiced nicely and adorably, which sowed skepticism in Steven's mind. "Why all of a sudden?" He interrogated in a serious tone, unable to accept her sudden softness. "They said they couldn't allow me with this dress. Can you bring clothes for me? Please... if I miss this exam, my one year of life will be wasted. Please, I will do whatever you say. Please, I beg you. Help me this one time. I have no one for me right now except you." She morally pleaded with him with a soft tone that disclosed she was apologizing sincerely. It was like a miracle to Steven. He sighed briefly as if he accepted her apology but disconnected the hall without replying to her. She flashed confliction on the phone screen: "Will he come with the dress?"On the one fine day, while Abigail was having breakfast with her father, her father brought up the conversation, "Is it your final year?"She nodded since her mouth filled with food, "Hmm."He slid the non-harmonic man's photo in proximity to her bowl, asking, "Does he look good?"She gave a disgusted look at that man's photo. "Ewww!""Then he is the groom," he declared."Groom?" She conflicted. "To who?" She flashed a surprised look."You!" He voiced firmly with a serious face. She choked up but not in surprise; her face had held a hint of dread. She swallowed creepily, witnessing the stern expression on her father's face.Ever since she was born, she had never spoken against him. Furthermore, this was the first time her father forced her to select something that she didn't deserve. She dropped her sight on her plate and, finishing that hurriedly, she excused herself in a faint tone, "I have a presentation today; let me leave first."With an exhausted look on her face, she left the h
"Your daughter is drunk and sleeping at the bus stop alone. There are strangers leering at her." He enunciated the situation. That worsened her father's heart. "Can you please tell me which bus stop was that?""Route 4, 74,""How did she go this far?" Her father flustered, not knowing how to bring his daughter."Where are you? Is your house far from here?""Yes. Sir, can you help me bring her to Disney Land? Our house is near that place." Her father provided him with the address."Okay, sir." He responded quickly."Your name?" Her father asked."Steven," he replied shortly."Thank you, Steven." Her father paid his respect beforehand. He disconnected the call and tried to wake up Abby. The phone rang. That was from her father. He attended it, "Hello?""Can you please keep the call? After all, she is a woman." Her father indirectly divulged that he can't trust him blindly.Perceiving father's discomfort Steven agreed politely, "Sure, sir."Keeping the phone in his pocket, he informed he
The next day, at a random restaurant."Here is the first option!" Annie showed a non-attractive man to Abby, while Abby was already disgusted by his behaviour towards her.He offered her his food with a bare hand and grabbed the spoon with the same hand without even wiping the mess."I reject!" Abby opposed it assertively."Here is the second option!" Annie showed up with another man who looked like he hadn't eaten for a week.Observing a vexed expression from her, Annie kicked him outside."Here is the last option I have." This time he appeared like he could meet Abby's expectations. However, Abby deselected him also."What are you thinking in your mind? This is just a contract marriage, not a real one! Why do you expect the groom to be beautiful? Accept the reality." Annie shouted in exasperation. But Abby leaned her head on the table, realising a gigantic, desperate sigh."Then you have no choice but to live with that ugly man." Annie also adjoined with her. "No one will come for j
Days passed. Wedding day approached. Abby was frustrated, not knowing what to do. Her father came inside the bride's room. Noticing her in the same normal dress, he scolded, "What are you doing without wearing a wedding dress?"He picked up the dress and handed it to her as she blankly stared at herself miserably in the mirror.Taking a deep breath in, she put the wedding dress on.Unfortunately, Abby's tension aroused as she was escorted to the altar and walked down the aisle. Now she was standing in front of her father's chosen groom. She gave a disgusted look as soon as his sight fell on her. The priest began to read the vow.Abby's mind is bewildered to go on with what is going on right now.Accidentally, she glimpsed Steven standing next to her father, watching her. "What is he doing here?" She mumbled with conflict. That caught the groom's attention right away.Thinking she was asking something to him, the groom smiled, "What?"Abby switched her gaze to the groom and shook her h
She then visited the big house, wondering how rich people's lives would be. She reached the balcony. The time she glanced at the big pool, her jaw dropped in amazement."Wow! He is living his greatest life." She voiced envy with her longing eyes. Meanwhile, she blinked like something struck in front of her eyes."One sec!" A crocodile smile peeked at her lips. "I can have this luxury life for one year, and that handsome man is my husband. Wow! What a luck!" She amazed herself. She veered around the room, which was allocated to her. She found plenty of beautiful dresses in the wardrobe. She chose one and changed into it from the wedding dress. She then headed downstairs with the joyful jump on the staircases.Suddenly, she halted, hooking her confused eyes at the big TV screen. "I don't have a phone. How do I proud myself by bragging about this wonderful house to my friend?""I have a billionaire man as my husband." She voiced well-pleasedly throwing herself on the sofa. She then turne
