Marina paced to and fro the room as she felt an empty feeling inside her stomach. She didn't even know what to feel as she kept staring at the wall clock every second.

The time read 10:38 pm and Aiden wasn't home yet, he didn't even try to reach her which was questionable. She tried to push away the growing sense of worry, telling herself he was probably just working late or had stopped to hang out with friends.
