" Meet me or you'll regret it"
The man's final words on the phone rang in my head over and over before I abruptly left the room where I was staying.
I can't help but rush around restlessly, thinking only of saving that person.
Until suddenly, rain began to pour without realizing it... But I was unable to stop moving. Darkness permeates the scene. Only the lightning's light, which emanates from it, illuminates my route. Even the thunderous thunder that goes with it makes my heart race. Scared of being too late...
"It's your choice, you better decide or else... You know what I mean," the man I only once knew stated while pointing a gun at that person and grinning like the devil.
However, the person in front of me was not even feeling a bit of fear, does not hesitate to smile at me and said, "Don't allow other people tell you what to do, you are the boss of your life."
I don't know how he maintains composure and considers my safety despite the threat. I broke down in tears, asking, "How can I do that? I don't want to lose you."
I glared at the person causing all of our pain, pleading with him to stop, but all he responded with was a sly smirk.
"I do the orders, so better be quick. My hands are itching to pull the trigger"
I wanted to kill him with every way I could think of but I know I cant, I am powerless to intervene, I'm defenseless and vulnerable.
" Samantha, you are one of the best thing that happened to me. So I don't mind dying if it means letting you live a normal life" I cried even more in front of it. I can't... I can't...
"I'm sorry if I failed you but I promised to protect you no matter what..." He smiled while kissing my head causing another burst of tears.
"Ah.. this is getting longer. I don't have patience for this." The man clicked his tongue as he clicked the back slide, ready to pull the trigger" Let me give you a warning."
And before I could even move, a red liquid flowed on the face of the person in front of me at the same time as his body fell to the ground. The gun appeared in front of me, still smoking from its firing. The person holding it was looking at me with a grin, "that my dear is the result of being disobedient."
Shaking, I looked again at the lifeless body of the person who had lost his life.
The person who devotedly loved me... He cared about my well-being until the very end...
I wrapped my arms around his body, sobbing loudly as the rain fell heavily. An innocent life was lost as a result of my actions... A life was squandered as a result of me... If only I had done what the man wanted... He wouldn't be lying there right now...
"I think I've made my point; do you want to do it again? I've got two more bullets."
I quickly shook my head, fearful that this would happen again. My voice trembled as I said, "I-I agree..." He moved closer to him and grinned, "Then it's settled. You're mine."
Hi! I'm so happy to see you reading my book, but I would be more delighted to know what you think about it!
CHAPTER 1 "You're my boyfriend?" inquired the girl, who was still lying on the hospital bed and staring at him in surprise. "Yes, he is," one of the three men inside the room replied. " Pretty handsome, isn't it?" the guy asked, making the girl nod in amazement, "I'm so lucky!" Luther, on the other hand, shook his head and exited the room with a new problem on his mind. The operation was supposed to be successful, but due to a single miscalculation, his plan failed. He never expected the need to do something like this. He gave the girl one last look before shaking his head and exiting the room. "Are you sure about this?" one of his friends asked, "you know I don't have a choice, Lucas." " Well, I think she doesn't know anything, so we could just let her go." "No. The plan was ruined because of one miscalculation, and I will never allow another one to happen," he replied remembering how a single mistake changes his life... "He's here!" A girl's scream seemed to sig
Beauty, intelligence, and social status. The university is trying to find that. With her attractiveness serving as the school's public face, brilliant at public speaking, and lastly, the university is renowned for its top-notch tutoring because of its social standing. Many girls fit the criteria, but Luther showed interest in the non-participant. His brow furrowed in surprise at the Dean's response, unable to understand what he was trying to convey. He didn't want to keep the conversation going, but he couldn't stop himself from probing the issue. "Why not? She's pretty," despite the fact that the woman's face could not be seen. The old man was restless and bowed down to avoid the handsome young man's gaze. The reason given was that "she did not enter the contest," but the young man did not believe it. " Well, the competition is still going on, so I could talk to her and—-" "You don't understand, Mr. Cromwell" the old man cut him off. Sighing, he looked to see where the beautiful
CHAPTER 3 Affiliation with the mafia is neither political nor religious. Over the years, the Mafia has gained money by engaging in a wide range of criminal operations. During Prohibition, mobsters traded in illegal drugs, prostitution, booze, and gambling, to name a few. Families engage in a range of activities to help the Mafia achieve its primary financial objective. One of the most frequent and easiest is extortion. Extortion is the act of intimidating someone into making a financial contribution. Extortion tactics are used in the mafia "protection rackets". The twist is that the crooks that pose a threat to the company are the Mafia members themselves. Burglaries and muggings can occasionally bring in money, but the capos are aware that for their operations to be most profitable, they must be carried out on a larger scale. They do this by stealing trucks and loading them with complete loads of stolen items. In order to "misplace" crates and shipments that ultimately end up in t
Luther frowned yet came to a halt for a moment, thinking it might have been a cat or a dog that had been run over. However, the noise was too loud for an animal. Still thinking about their ongoing operation, the young man was about to restart the engine but couldn't bear the thought of abandoning the animal that had been run over in the middle of the street. The young man also has a dog and his conscience is taking over him. After putting on the cap, the young man exited the car only to discover that it was pouring heavily. Setting aside the weather, He took a quick look at the car's bumper and was taken aback by what he saw. He does not run over an animal, but rather a person. His Head, face, and body are all covered in blood. The young man could not avoid falling to the ground at the same time that the past was quickly shown to him, causing him to suffocate from the sight of blood all over the road. He saw the things that often happened in his dreams again and again. The young ma
"Then should I just kill her?" this question completely baffled the two young men. "What? Are you insane?" Lucas exclaimed in disbelief. "We vowed not to harm innocent people on this mission, that includes killing one, Luther." "Didn't you think there might be a family waiting for her? How could you say such things?" Kheed's tone was surprisingly resentful. "Then what do you think is good?" "There must be something we could do, but let's help her first and clean up this mess you made," Lucas replied, shaking his head and looking at the woman next to him. "Is she still breathing?" Kheed inquired, recalling a bitter incident because of the girl's condition. "She is, but if we don't get there in ten minutes, she might die," Lucas replied. " Oh shit!" Kheed exclaimed as he drove the car as fast as he could to the private rest house owned by Lucas's family. They quickly brought her inside and saw a swarm of people wearing surgical gowns waiting for them. "Oh my god, what happened t
"Shit... Seriously?" Kheed reacted worried to what he heard, while the young man who caused it showed no reaction at all. "The crash was so intense that some tissues from her brain ruptured that the doctor had to operate on her for twenty hours straight; it's a miracle she's still alive considering how badly she was injured," Lucas added. "What about her face? Does she have scars?" Kheed inquired once more. "Are you seriously still thinking about her face?" "Why? Only a few people are blessed with that kind of face, it is necessary to care about it," Lucas responded with a shake of his head. "In any case, this remains a problem for us; the longer she remains in a coma, the longer we must wait." "Do we also have to pause our operations?" Kheed inquired. "I guess we should stay low for the time being until we can fix this mess." "How about the Asano? Have you heard anything from them? Did they do anything after their supposed trading failed?" Kheed inquired once more. "Their clan
CHAPTER 7 It's been a month since the accident, but the girl has yet to awaken. There is also no information about her family, and no one is looking for the girl. Every day, the young man went to the girl's location, hoping to see some improvement in her condition, but he had bad luck. The young man was eager to complete their two-year mission and couldn't wait any longer. "I'm not going to wait for her anymore; I'm done with this!" exclaimed the young man as he entered his office. "Just wait a little longer, the doctors said, she's getting better," Lucas tries to reassure his friend. "Getting better? Look at her condition, Lucas; she's still fvcking comatose!" "Yeah, I know," Lucas replied calmly, "but we don't have a choice; we have to wait. Seeing her still in that condition does not imply that nothing has changed; the doctor also stated that there is a good chance she will wake up one of these days." "One fvcking month has been wasted waiting for her, and I'm not going
Chapter 10 The girl finally awakened after two months of waiting. The three young men dashed over to the girl's location. Kheed was overjoyed with the news, not because of the mission, but because he could finally meet and talk to the girl. While Luke and Luther were both thinking about the mission. It's been a long time for the young man, and now that she's awake, he's not going to waste another year. "Where is she?" Kheed asked the doctor, who had just emerged from the woman's room. The doctor was taken aback, not expected the young men to appear immediately. "She's inside, but she's — wait! You need to know something first!" the doctor yelled at the three impatient men. They entered quickly and noticed a young woman sitting on the edge of the bed. She was wearing a bandage on both her head and arm, and a cast on her legs. Some scars can still be seen, though they have faded. Nonetheless, her beauty is stunning, leaving Kheed speechless. "Shit...She's even better in person,"
Samantha was smiling as she observed the people crossing the street ahead of her. They were taking a break in a cafe close to the destination they visited. She is still in awe at the location they went to; she never imagined that there could be more exquisite than her boyfriend's house's garden."Luther, why did you decide to come here?" she asked, grinning, turning to face the man seated next to her who was carrying the two drinks. He had a hot cup of coffee, while she had a hot chocolate. The young man sipped his coffee without responding, recalling that the only place he had selected was the one he had initially seen in the brochure. He doesn't give it much thought because he detests wasting time. However, as a result, he recalled a particular incident. He recalled that university search served as a model for the establishment. He again did it. Since she is the first girl he sees at that particular moment, he chooses her.He shook his head when he considered that. "Ah, he really ha
Chapter 47Really? Are they out on a date? After learning of Luther's call, Kheed queried with amazement. "What did your friend eat?""Looks like Hunter did a great job," Lucas said with a smile."Yeah, and I hope he continues to behave like that. I really hope Samantha gets a happy ending.” He saw Lucas staring at him and replied. “Okay, including our friend who was conceived out of spite." It made Lucas giggle. "But if the boss is busy with his love life, what about the mission? I mean, we already have a lead on who killed, but what's next?" Kheed asked off-topic, causing his friend's smile to vanish. because their pal was too preoccupied in criticizing Samantha. He made the decision to defy his commands. He was searching everywhere for informatiom when he found something, Something that doesn't fit the narrative they are familiar with.“We must begin with the Le'roux. The last descendent must be located. ""What? Someone survive that massacre?” Kheed questioned in shock.Lucas res
"Do you think he'll change his mind?" Kheed inquired outside the condominium unit where Luther and Samantha were sleeping.Lucas looked toward the door before saying, "I don't know, but at least we tried."Kheed sighed and peered toward the door. "I never imagined Sam suffered so much. I mean, look at her smile. It's so pure and pretty. You can't believe she went through all that," Kheed said, shaking his head, recalling Samantha's brother's story. "I never imagine, having a pretty face can make your life miserable.""I hope colliding with her was the best option God had. She's been through a lot." Lucas said as he was leaving the hallway.Kheed shook his head and added, "Ah, I really hope your friend realizes it. I feel sorry for Sam." Then he followed his companion.Lucas said to himself as he left the hallway, "Let's trust Luther; I know he won't make the same mistakes."Meanwhile... The young man was still quietly seated on the couch inside the condo, clutching the USB drive that
Chapter 45 Rather than calling their friend, Kheed and Lucas head straight to the foreign land and start searching for the obstinate child. To save their hopes of turning their friend around, they must locate the child. Keeping their acquaintance from knowing, the two behaved softly and discreetly. Their mission was expedited by their contacts, which they acquired when Gransil gave them the order to locate Samantha's brother. Hunter was located in an upscale hotel right away. The two decided to simply move despite being taken aback by how the boy entered the pricey building. They weren't prepared for what they saw, though, before they even approached. The enemy was also there and was aware of it's target. Though they need to stop it from happening, they don't know who to prioritize, "We have to take care of the kid first." Finally, after giving it some thought, Kheed said, "Roger." Right away, the two moved to apprehend the child who wasn't causing the disturbance, just as they h
Luther never let Samantha get away from him after the phone call. She never left the hotel room. The young man even forbade the girl from peering through the window, which the girl did not comprehend. She has no idea why she had to cling to the four lonely corners of the room. Her boyfriend took her to a wonderful nation with many places to visit; why does he prefer to keep her inside? The girl had no idea about her boyfriend's sudden changes. She even imagined that following their pleasant talk after she was admitted to the hospital, his treatment would improve. She didn't expect him to be more harsh on her. He departs and returns only when the sky has darkened. This is what Samantha goes through every day for three days. She couldn't go out since she didn't want to aggravate the young man's fury, so she followed him with her eyes closed. Now the young man was getting ready to leave again, while she sat at the kitchen table, reluctantly looking at him. She desires to go outside.
I silently gazed out the car window, searching for something to look at among the colorful lights from the houses that illuminated the dark sky. My boyfriend drove back to the hotel for nearly thirty minutes without saying anything at all. I'm not sure if I did something wrong here. He still has his infamous wrinkled forehead, which makes me wonder if I should open something we can talk about. I don't want to aggravate his rage, so even though it's awkward, I prefer to remain silent.I'm bored with my head pressed against the window, still looking around when I notice a familiar location. When our car passed by it, I immediately got up and stared at it. "They also play music at night," I almost twisted my neck when I saw the musicians I used to play with. I smiled as I remembered how much fun I had playing with them. They helped me rediscover a skill I had forgotten about. Every day, I am astonished by the new things I learn about myself. I never imagined I could do so much. This ma
"Alright, send me the documents right away; I need everything; do your job right this time, Kheed."I was awakened by a cold and familiar voice. When I turned to see where it came from, I saw the familiar wrinkled forehead of my boyfriend, who was sitting on the sofa and talking on the phone. When he noticed me, he immediately put down the phone he was holding and approached me. "How are you?"There was no hint of anger, but I couldn't catch the concern in his tone either. I looked up at his face, thinking that this was better than him constantly reprimanding me. "I'm fine," I smiled."Are you sure?" he asked again. "Or do you need more time to recover?"This abrupt shift caught me off guard. We seemed to have an argument just the other night. How did it suddenly alter its attitude toward me? Is there anything I missed last night? Did I do something right? The only thing I remember from last night is that we got into a fight and I ran away from the hotel... My body then abruptly stopp
Luther hurried as he bridal carried the girl, still trembling in terror, as soon as he arrived at the hospital's entrance. He alternated between looking at the girl and the road, unsure of what to do. He notified them of the girl's condition the moment they saw the nurse coming. The medical staff moved swiftly to transport the girl to the designated room. The young man was still taking a breath after his sprint. Is she going to be alright?’ he asked himself, a tinge of worry for the girl. He realized that mental health was no joke when he watched how much his mother struggled with such a condition. He sat down on the bench in the corridor after drawing a big breath. He pulled out his phone to pass the time while he waited and then unexpectedly got a call from his pal. "What is it?" (Gransil arrived.) As soon as he heard it, the young man promptly closed his eyes. He had more issues to consider. The young man said irritably, "You deal with it since you're the one who made me fly here
"France, huh?" said the man sipping wine, slyly smirking as he looked at the photo of the young woman smiling inside the airport. "We discovered that Mr. Cromwell was looking for the person you know," his staff said, bowing to the man with the dragon tattoo. "And who is that fortunate individual?" "It was SLee." The man who was looking at the photo at that time burst out laughing. It even slapped the table. "Really?" "Yes, my lord," he laughed even more, shaking his head and taking another photo and this time it's the picture of two facing each other. "How did he end up taking his father's place with his way of thinking?" "We doubt he knows who he's looking for." "Then there's one thing: he's no match for me. Just a fvcking boyfriend wannabe." He leaned forward and tossed the photo into the air, then quickly threw it away with a small knife. The knife's sharp edge slashed the young man's face, pinning him against the wall. "The next thing this knife will touch will undoubtedly b
