Gillian was never a friend.

William was furious as he entered Anna’s house. Before Ethan could shut the door, the Alpha shoved him back and pressed a sharp claw against his neck.

“Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t rip your throat out right now,” William threatened his younger brother.

“I take it you didn’t find her,” Ethan choked out. “Put that away, William. I wouldn’t be helping if I was going to act like a fool. I can explain better what might have happened.”

“Then start talking!” William growled.

“Daddy?”

The two men suddenly turned to look at Andrea, who stood holding a teddy and watching the father and uncle fight.

“Andrea,” William said her name, and loosened his grip on Ethan and straightened.

They also spotted Andrew who rubbed his bleary eyes, walking over to where his sister was.

The twins had been in their bedroom, mostly avoiding Ethan after he convinced the babysitter to leave him alone in the house with them.

But it seemed they must have heard their father’s voice, and come running.
