Ethan smirked at Gillian who stepped into the kitchen and gave him a poisonous glare.

Despite it being the first time he ever faced a Hunter, it only ignited Ethan’s excitement, and he let his claws extend from his fingernails with extreme ease.

Gillian’s eyes flickered to then and back to him in a split second.

“I’m surprised you aren’t that shocked.” She remarked to the werewolf. With a little sleight of hand trick, another dagger was in her hand instantly and she pointed it at him teasingly.

Ethan shrugged; he wasn’t going to dare drop his defenses around a Hunter, even when it turned out this one was also his mate.

What a fucked up situation, he thought.

“I’m more surprised that I didn’t suspect you sooner.” He replied easily. “The Erikson family is a well known thorn in our side. Has been for the past generations. But you don’t have the look down pat.”
