Branch Three Hundred and Sixty Two

When she entered Xavier's office she walked up to the table dropping the lunch box on the center table along the way. Xavier was startled because she usually just sat waiting for him in the chair there but this time she was walking towards him.

She stood beside him and he could see her sad eyes. "What happened to you?" he asked standing up.

He was taken by another surprise when she went in for a hug her hands tightly wrapped around him and her head firmly pressed on his chest. He did not speak again as he waited for her to express herself.

She too did not know why she felt so emotional. She knew she would have handled the situation better than she did but she did not care. She liked the solution she was getting which was the warm embrace and the lingering cologne smell coming from Xavier.

He patted her head gently and she began to feel a bit relieved after the hug. She pulled herself away from him a bit but her hands were still wrapped around her.
