Branch Three Hundred and Forty

The inspector general did not expect a call from Xavier since he had received one from his personal assistant. The call sent shivers down his spine.

He had never had an encounter with Xavier but rumors had it that he was a no-nonsense man. Xavier was reserved but maybe it was the money his family had that made people think he was supposed to be naturally ruthless and obnoxious.

"Hello, IG" Xavier said and waited for the man to say something.

"We have begun questioning the men although they have been unable to give us any useful information," the man said with a little stutter.

Why he was stuttering was a mystery to him. He obviously wanted to get on the good side of the richest man in the city.

"Okay that's good," Xavier said and waited. The man may have more to report. After a few seconds of silence, he spoke instead. "Have you been able to get the current location of the woman who put my wife in this mess?"

"Not yet sir," the man said uncomfortably.

"I hope you can locate her
