Alicia and Jason had to go ahead first since it was their wedding day. They were going straight to your honeymoon location. Jessica was so concerned about Leslie that it only took the willpower of Xavier to get her to leave the hospital back home. "We could have stayed just a little bit longer. Did you see how cute those babies were?" Jessica's voice sounded so hyper about it. If she could be active on her feet then she would be jumping all around the place. "Yes, they were so cute," Xavier said guiding her towards the stairs. "So why did you let us leave so early?" she pouts and turns to face him while standing on the stairs. "Because you need rest so you can birth to your cute baby," Xavier said blankly. "Okay but can I visit them tomorrow?" "No" "Come on please??" she said trying to sound as cute as possible. "Do not make me look like the bad guy here but you have been up and on your feet for the past week now. You helped Alicia put the final touches to her wedding and then
"Have you heard from Doctor Ross?" Jessica asked as Xavier put her down on the bed. "About?" "About Genevieve" "Oh yes she is doing better and responding to treatment" "Oh thank goodness," Jessica said with a sigh of relief. Xavier could not help but agree. He had never been close to Genevieve but after losing his grandfather to the cold hands of death he could not stand losing another family member. He tried his best to begin to treat Genevieve how one would treat an aunt. Since the last time she left the house, she had been on admission as required by the doctor to help her recover faster. It was later made known that it was a misdiagnosis from the end of the doctor who did it. She had stage one cancer and could be helped to recover if she was dedicated to the treatment plan and method with the whole of her heart. To help speed up the process the doctor had advised that she stay back to receive treatment. "Do not get mad at me but..." Jessica said as she trailed off. "You w
It was almost a week past Jessica's expected date of delivery and she was agitated. She did not want to show it but she was getting nervous about the situation. Why was it taking so long for the baby to come out? She was eager to meet the baby because she was desperate to know the gender. She had said she wanted a son but Xavier had said he wanted a daughter instead because the baby would look like her and he wanted a mini her. "You can do it" Xavier cheered for her as they climbed the stairs. Climbing up and down became a hassle for her so she decided to love downstairs. She called Ross when her date passed and there was no sign of the baby coming. Although he explained it so well to her she could not help but atoll feel very nervous about it. "Why don't you come to do it yourself?" she snapped at him. She had been very snippy in the past few days and it was a wonder to her how understanding Xavier had been through it all. "Take a deep breath. You have just three more steps to
Xavier had made Jessica complete the exercise and she swore that the only thing that would take her down again was if her water broke and she was ready to go give birth to the baby. "I hate you" she murmured as she pulled the blanket over her legs. "I love you" she shouts back from the closet. "I wonder why you have an unbelievably good hearing" she shouted back to him. He came out with a robe wrapped around him. "I am about to take a shower do you care to join me?" he asked with a wink as he placed his body on the door frame. "I do not," she said in a sharp voice. "Come on" "I do not want to. I am so exhausted from climbing up the stairs"A frown took over Xavier's face before he turned around and said "Do whatever you want"Jessica sighed and lay down on the bed. She was sorry that she kept snapping at him but it was his fault that she was like this. If he had kept his pants on she would not be feeling as if she was carrying a full sack of rice. She closed her eyes to try an
"Xavier get in here" Jessica screamed at the top of her voice. After they had come back from having fun which was Xavier made her do more exercises and she hated it work passion. Coming back home she had decided to refresh and then go to bed because she was not going to do any single exercise again. It seemed as if he was obsessed with the exercise. "Get in here" she screamed again this time a pain shooting through her whole body down her stomach to her legs. "What is it?" Xavier entered with a worried expression and speed in his legs. "My water just broke now" she exclaimed as she watched the trickling drops of liquid down her legs. "Your water?" Xavier asked with a panicked expression. He had been studying so intently and practicing for this moment but being faced with the real situation he could not help but panic. "Stay calm" he finally found his voice to say. "I am calm but you need to be calm because you look terrified," she tells him walking towards him. Seeing his fear
"Do you wish to stay in the delivery room with her?" one of the nurses asked Xavier. It had been over an hour since they had gotten to the hospital and Jessica had been groaning in pain. She had hurled promises of never allowing Xavier to touch her unless he had a vasectomy done. "Yes I do" Jessica had thrown a lot of punches and bites into his skin at him but he still wanted to be there with her all through the process of her birthing their child. "Come this way" Finally, after a long time, the doctor said she was now fully dilated and ready to give birth to the baby. Although she had offered the process of a cesarean section to her she had declined saying she wanted to try and birth the baby. "How are you doing?" Xavier whispered holding on to her face as he walked to her. "The daddy is here," the nurse who brought him in said to the doctor. "We can begin now," the doctor said out loud and everyone nodded as if in agreement with the doctor's order. "Daddy I need you to help
"Joshua?" Jessica asked shocked. Whenever she had wanted to discuss names Xavier had avoided it cunningly so she stopped bringing it up with him and began to think of names for herself. She had come up with names but she did not like any of them. "Yes, his name is your maiden name and his middle name is Papa's name so he is named after him" Xavier explained. "I love it" Jessica replied at hid thoughtfulness to include both families in the naming of the baby. It is dawned on him that he was preparing something like this and that was why he avoided the conversation whenever she brought it up. "I will prepare the certificate. Congratulations once again" the doctor said before filing out of the room with her team. "Let me hold on to him," Jessica said stretching her hand to take the child from Xavier who had been tightly clutching onto the baby and watching his face from time to time. He stretched the baby to her and she took him from him. "I am so glad I had a son" she muttered. "
The week following was all jubilation and joy in the house of the Delgado. The press and bloggers referred to the baby as the silver spoon of the century. While the entire city rejoiced Xavier and Jessica were finding it difficult to keep up with being new parents. Leslie and Brian shared their experiences with them before they had the baby but they thought it was over-told tales as usual. Now that they were experiencing the nonstop tears of their son at night they knew that the stories circulating life about childbirth were true. "Can you please stop crying?" Xavier asked as he took Joshua into his hands. The boy had woken up by two a.m. and had had a full city out session for thirty minutes straight. Jessica had first taken the pain of standing up to get him but now she had come to give him to Xavier because she could not get him to stop. Xavier rocked him for ten minutes before the cries began to subside and stop. "Finally" Xavier murmured as he sat down. "Oh my god, so I am a
