"I am never going on anything that would compromise my life again," Xavier said staggering a little as they came down from the ride. "Why did that kiddies' ride get you all afraid?" Jessica asked air quoting the word kiddies. "I admit that it is not a kiddies' ride," Xavier said throwing his hands up in the air and walking away. "People would think we are fighting if you walk away," Jessica said as she caught up with him and held his arm. "Let's do that. It only requires darts and teddy bears" she added pulling him in the direction. Xavier sighed with relief when they steered clear of the rest of the rides and only stuck with the things you get to do on the ground. "So many people are interested in you," Jessica said as they took their seat at an empty table at the food court. She put down the teddy bear that he had won for her at the game. Most eyes turned to him and her and a lot of pictures were taken. "I would get something for us to eat then," he said standing up and igno
"Chairman you need to see this" Roselle said as she came close to Dawson. Since Xavier left with Jessica, Roselle had been keeping a keen eye on the news surrounding Aurora Haven. If they went out together there would be no way that they would miss the eyes of the numerous cameras. The Delgado family was powerful enough for him to be photographed anywhere in this world. "You look so excited, what could it be about?" Dawson asked as he took the iPad from her and looked over it. All over the screen were pictures of Jessica and Xavier hand in hand all over the amusement park. "I guess all they really needed was a push from the outside," Dawson said smiling. The images were believable enough that he did not need any soothsayer to tell him what was going on in them. Anyone who saw the pictures would conclude that they were such a loving couple. "I guess our plan is working" "Yes, Chairman" Roselle said happily. Seeing that Xavier whom she had practically raised was in love made her
"I am so exhausted," Jessica said yawning as they left the park. After eating in the food court they went on more rides but this time they restricted it to kiddie rides. "So am I," Xavier said continuing her yawn. She looked at him and they both burst out laughing. "Why are you laughing?" Jessica asked in amusement "Why are you laughing?" Xavier retorted. The interaction became even funnier for both of them and the loud laughter continued. It was the first time in the two months they had known each other that such an exchange took place. They had never laughed with each other before "I think we should just get takeout as neither of us would be able to cook anything for dinner I know I am exhausted, aren't you? " Jessica suggested. Xavier snapped his head toward her in shock. This was the first time he heard her agree to forego cooking by herself for food from outside. "What?" she asked as she saw his sudden head movement. "So you can agree to order food from outside? I am eve
"Wake up Jessica" a hand shook her out of her sleep. She stirred and turned away from the direction of the voice. After they had gotten takeout they went ahead to have a lovely dinner and spoke about nothing and everything at length too late at night. She felt it was still too early and she considered this a vacation so why was he waking her up so early? "Come on stand up. You were the one that said you want to exercise with me" he said turning to the direction she turned to. "What time is it? Isn't it too early to be out in the cold air exercising?" she asked trying to think of all the excuses she might be able to use to escape reality. "It's already a few minutes past six a.m. and I know that this is the best time to exercise" he responded. "I did not bring any wears I can use to exercise" she replied happy that she had seen a valid excuse. "That's why I bought a series of new ones for you when I went out yesterday," he said tapping her lightly. "Oh my gosh," she groaned as s
Slow down" Jessica after Xavier panting and sweating heavily. He slowed down his jog and jogged back to meet her. "Have you always been this fit?" she asked taking deep breaths to steady her breathing. "I thought you would be more fit than this?" he asked still jogging on one spot. "You go jogging every morning around the house yeah?""You mean around the palace? I jog only halfway and I walk slowly for the rest" Jessica said finally catching her breath." We have been at this for almost an hour now and I am exhausted" she said sitting on the ground. Xavier stopped and crouched down to her level." You were the one who wanted us to exercise together and I thought it was a good idea too" she said wiping the sweat from his forehead. "That was when I thought you were unfit. I thought I could outrun you. I also thought we would do a little maybe thirty minutes a day but this is extreme" she said lying down. "Come on we need to finish the routine," Xavier said clapping his hands. "I do
Since Xavier was going to meet Ethan on Friday they decided to stay in and order in on Thursday. The day went by in a flash and they were unable to pinpoint what it was exactly that they did. When Xavier got up early to go to see Ethan for the deal Jessica was still sleeping and he left a note so he didn't have to wake her up. Ethan sent a car to pick him up and for once Xavier was grateful he did not have to drive all the way to the middle of the city. "Hell Mr. Ramirez," Xavier said as he was led into the study. "Come sit Xavier" Ethan gestured to the couch beside him. Xavier nodded and went to sit there. Ethan looked around the room and especially at the door as if he was looking for something he misplaced earlier. "Your wife did not come with you?" Ethan asked as his eyes finally settled on Xavier. "Oh yes, she was still asleep by the time I left and I wanted her to get maximum rest since this is like a break from our busy day to day life" Xavier explained. "I thought the b
Jessica had not yet processed what Xavier was saying before he cut off the call. She was still deep in sleep when his call came through and she was startled awake by his call only for him to say one sentence and cut it off. "What is he saying?" she murmured to herself as she tried to analyze what he had said. "Get ready?" she asked herself yawning and waiting for her brain. It could be slow at times. "Oh, he wanted me to get ready? Has he met with Ethan already? I thought we were spending the rest of the day on the beach for a picnic" she said as he mind wondered all the possibilities that could be behind his statement. She sighed in a yawn again and laid back down smugling into the blanket. It had been a long while since she had such quality sleep and she was not trading it again for one of his tricks. A few hours later the door clicked open and Xavier stood in the room. At a glance, he could see Jessica's body fully covered under the blanket sleeping soundly. "What are you doi
With that statement, she turned to enter the bathroom. Xavier was flustered by her statement. The reason was unknown to him too. He sat on the couch while scrolling through his phone. After a long period, Jessica emerged. He looked up from his phone briefly to see what she looked like but his eyes could not do a quick survey of her. His eyes were fixated on her. "What? You don't like it? If that's the case I change" She started going for the suitcase to pull something else out of the things he had just bought from her. "I thought this would be nice since you got it for me. Could be good for conversation and all" she rambled on while rummaging through the bag. "No, you can leave it on. I think you look beautiful in the dress" he said the last comment slipping on. Jessica felt a blush creep up her cheek. She knew she was deep red by now and she was glad she was not facing him. She began to sniffle and clear her throat to make the redness gone. "Oh is it?" she managed to say without
