Book Two: Branch One Hundred and Fifty Five

Everyone turned to Aletta, she had been so quiet while they had been speaking.

"Are you not comfortable with them coming to my house?" Joshua asked his gaze on her as if he was trying to figure out what she was thinking.

"It's not that I am uncomfortable with the idea it's just that..." she trailed off looking down. If she said what her concern was it would be as if she was being paranoid for no reason.

"If you are not uncomfortable then why are having this discussion?" Alethea asked.

"Because although I am not uncomfortable I am still not comfortable with the idea" Aletta responded.

"What does that mean?" Alethea asked. She wondered how her sister's mind worked and why it was working that way. Why could she not say what she was feeling plainly so everyone around her could understand?

"If we go there to have dinner it would look like we are having a meeting for families, like we want to get married" Aletta said.

"What? Why would it feel that way?" Joshua asked standing up from beside
