Twenty-Nine

Zyrielle's POV

Flicks of water droplets bounced on my skin and I looked up. It was about to rain.

"I guess this is the universe's way of telling us to go home, whatcha think?" Rain spoke quietly.

"Yeah..." I agreed, there was no way that I wanted to be caught up in a heavy downpour. We walked hand in hand again to the car with smiles on our faces.

I was getting scared. It felt as though things were moving too fast and I couldn't help it. "We should grab some tacos on our way home." Rain suggested and I shrugged nonchalantly.

I didn't think that I was really interested in having another bite but didn't want to discourage him. "okay,"

"I'm guessing that means you don't want to." He spoke.

I shrugged carelessly again, "No, it means I don't mind."

"Right... She doesn't want to but is only trying to let me down gently." He said in an exaggerated whisper while staring at me with a small smile.

I blushed at his antics. This was a grown man for crying out loud but he was good at teases
