Her head instantly whipped to her side where the voice came from, “Excuse me? Are you talking to me?” she queried.

She squinted her eyes to see his face but the lights from the dance floor were making her head hurt even more.

Grunting, she turned back to the bartender, who was just standing there and did not give her another glass.

“Can you please give me more glasses? I’m not drunk yet,” she said, politely.

“Don’t. She’s obviously drunk already,” the guy interfered again.

Sabrina’s head snapped back to the guy who was sitting next to her, “Who are you?” She blurted out while throwing him a sharp look.

The guy’s voice was not familiar to her so she assumed he was a complete stranger.

“I don’t know you, Mister, so please mind your own business,” she added, then looked back at the bartender.

She was about to demand to give her order when the bartender nodded after looking at the guy beside her and then made her drinks again. But since she was already drunk, she was oblivious of the silent conversation between the two and just innocently watched the bartender making her drink.

He then gave her two glasses which she immediately consumed in seconds and asked for more again.

Meanwhile, the guy beside her did not say anything again and just sat there silently while she kept drinking until her head became heavy and could not sit straight anymore.

“Don’t give her any more drinks, she’s already wasted,” she heard the guy stated.

She tried to sit up properly but her head was spinning so much. Shutting her eyes, rested her head back again on the counter and muttered, “I’m not yet drunk, I'm just dizzy but I can still remember what happened..”

Slowly, she tried to open her eyes and squinted it towards the guy who was sitting beside her.

“Do you want to know what happened?” She giggled.

It was not funny but she cannot stop chuckling. She was so stupid for trusting Anthon and gave up everything for him only to get dumped by him.

Releasing a loud sigh, her gaze went somewhere as she recalled what happened in Anthon’s new office.

“I’m so stupid, right?!” she chortled as she finished recounting the scene. “My dream proposal disappeared just like that,” she muttered.

Then a hot liquid fell down her cheeks. She tried to wipe it away but it seemed endless.

Chuckling, she looked at the guy again, “I don’t need a fancy ring and grand proposal.. Even if you’re empty handed.. just.. ask me and I.. will immediately say yes..”

Her lips stretched widely as she looked away and darted her gaze on the dance floor, “I want to dance,” she stated.

With a heavy head and unstable feet, she almost stumbled as she unceremoniously stood up. Fortunately, the guy's reflex was quick and was able to catch her before her face fell on the floor.

“Oh! My legs are heavy!” She giggled.

“I’ll take you home,” He finally spoke.

With heavy eyelids, she looked up and stared at the guy.

Their faces were just a few inches away from each other, hence, she almost kissed him when she moved her head.

Her heart skipped a beat as they stared at each other with eyes both wide open.

“Sorry,” the guy said, then helped her sit back on the high chair.

Sabrina was speechless.

Her eyes didn’t leave his face. It was as if her dizziness magically disappeared and her sight became clear as she stared at the most handsome man she had ever seen.

“What’s your name?” She inquired.

The guy seemed taken aback at her sudden question. He glanced at her but quickly averted his gaze before he replied.

“Gab,” he answered curtly.

The corner of Sabrina’s lips lifted upwards and a giggle escaped her lips once again.

“I’m Sab! Nice to meet you,” her eyes were sparkling as she enthusiastically extended her hand.

Gab just stood there and did not move. On the other hand, Sabrina did not wait for him. Immediately, she took his hand and shook it fervently.

“I like your face..” she said.

“What?”

Smiling like a fool, she pulled him back to his chair and rested her left cheek on the counter without taking her eyes off him.

“You’re so fvcking handsome. I’ve never seen anyone as handsome as you,” she boldly stated.

Gab’s lips parted. His eyes then darkened but Sabrina’s smile became wider and her eyes glistened in excitement.

Chuckling, she extended her hand once again to pinch his cheek.

“If I met you first before Anthon, we’re probably married and have six kids now..”

The guy did not respond, but he removed her hand away from his face.

Sabrina’s eyes narrowed as she could not see his expression due to the dim light. But her eyes turned into a moon shape when she felt him intertwining their hands.

“You’re just drunk..” he murmured.

Shutting her eyes, she shook her head, “I’m just being honest..” she snickered. “Too bad I fell in love with Anthon toooo soooon..” she said, dragging the last words.

“You should go home. It’s late,” he replied.

Then, he stood up but Sabrina quickly shook her head in response.

“I have a question,” her lips stretched widely as she opened her eyes and met his gaze. “Will you marry me?”

Gab stiffened. His heart then stopped for a second as he stared at her with eyes almost pop out of its socket while his jaw dropped. “W-what?” He stammered. “Will you marry me?” Sabrina repeated. He clenched his fists tightly and looked at her as if she grew another head. “Will you?” She asked with hopeful droopy eyes. He swallowed hard not knowing what to say. Not because it was the first time a woman proposed to him, but the fact that it was the woman he knew for a long time. Looking away, he cleared his throat and unbuttoned the first two buttons of his long sleeves. “You’re just drunk. I’ll take you home,” he replied instead. “No! Go back to your seat and answer me,” she demanded while pulling his arm. “Pretty please?” His jaw hardened. He didn’t have any patience for anyone and could’ve just walked out of the bar and left her there. However, he wouldn’t do that as she was the very reason why he was there in the first place. Gab pursed his lips as he stared at her innocent face. There was a nagging feeling inside him that was telling him what he was about to do was wrong. However, seeing her droopy but sparkling eyes immediately pulled him deeper into his desire. Shutting his eyes, he shook his head and groaned. Then, upon opening his eyes, he immediately scooped her up and carried her out of the bar. “Heeyyy~” giggling, Sabrina clung her arms around his neck. “We’re not married yet. Shouldn’t you give me a ring first before you carry me to your room?” she chuckled. Shaking his head, Gab unlocked his car and put her in the passenger’s seat. “Stay still,” he muttered when the woman wiggled from her seat. “I need a ring!” “I know. Just wait for it, okay?” He smiled then patted her head. C

Sabrina woke up with a splitting headache. Groaning in pain, she forcibly pulled her body up and sat on the bed. “Ah! My head hurts!” She grumbled and touched her head. However, her body stiffened when she felt something slowly crawling under the blanket and snaking around her waist. Holding her breath, she carefully lifted the blanket only to find out that she was not wearing any clothes. In an instant, her body froze seeing a muscled arm resting on her naked torso. “Good morning, wife,” a warm breath fanned her left ear. Her eyes almost popped out of its socket. Immobile, her eyes were fixated at the unfamiliar arm that was comfortably wrapped around her waist.“Still sleepy?” A deep and raspy voice entered her ears. Blinking several times, she finally snapped out of her trance and almost instantly, she hastily lifted the blanket to cover herself while trying to scoot aside. She was not able to move right away as her brain was still processing what he had just said. Sabrina’s eyes were bulging as she stared at the woman. She was not sure if she was shocked to know that it was not a hotel or to the fact that she mentioned ‘husband’ and the first thing that came into her mind was that guy she left upstairs. “I’m not married yet,” she shook her head. But unexpectedly, the woman seemed unfazed and just nodded with a polite smile as though she was already expecting her response. Puzzled, she looked at her as though she grew another head. But eventually, she shrugged her shoulders and just walked towards the main door without saying anything. As soon as she stepped out of the mansion, she was stunned to see a spacious and almost empty front yard. It was different from her expectations. She expected to see a huge garage with lots of cars but what welcomed her were rows of small, neatly trimmed bushes, trees, well-manicured lawns, shrubs and a long driveway. Curling her fingers, her lips parted as her eyes marveled around the area. “Where are you

Sabrina clutched her chest as tears started falling down her face. She couldn’t believe that Anthon could do that to her. They’ve been together for five years and during those times, she did nothing but gave everything he wanted. She treated him like a king and served him like she was a freaking servant. Her dress was soaked with her tears but she did not care. Her heart was very heavy and she felt like the world was on her shoulder. Everything she had just disappeared in a snap just like that. Her boyfriend, her best friend, her apartment and most especially her virginity all were taken away from her in just a short span of time. She bit the bottom of her lips hard as she suppressed her sobs. Immediately, she wiped her face and hastily gathered all her things that were scattered on the floor. Gabriel's jaw clenched as he stared sharply at Sabrina. “No?” he repeated. Sabrina briefly nodded. Gabriel’s thick eyebrows deeply furrowed as he stared at her intently. “You want to keep your ex working here?” His voice was critical. “Yes,” She answered curtly. His eyes turned into a slit whilst his blue orbs were getting darker in shade. He didn’t like her answer. That guy deserved nothing but to rot in jail. He used her! He took advantage of her innocence and then crashed her! Gabriel's blood was boiling as he thought about it and he wondered why Sabrina didn’t want to put him to his rightful place. ‘Don’t tell me she was still hoping they would get back together?’ That thought crossed his mind and it instantly put him in a very bad mood. “You’re not going to punish the guy who used and humiliated you?” His voice was critical. He saw how her eyes flickered but she kept mum and looked everywhere but him. The room fell silent as no one spoke between them. Sabrina seemed to

Nathalia quickly looked at Sabrina and laughed haughtily. “Your charm didn’t work to the CEO,” she chuckled. Her eyes sparkled in delight but instantly it wiped away when Gabriel’s men went to her and grabbed her by the arms. “W-what are you doing?!” She asked, panicking. “Miss Smith, you need to go with us,” the chief officer stated nonchalantly. “No! Why are you taking me? It's not me! That woman is the culprit! Let go!” She screeched. “Nathalia!” Anthon screamed in panic. He then walked to Gabriel and pointed at Sabrina. “Are you out of your mind?! That freak was the one they should capture, not my fiancèe!”Sabrina’s heart throbbed. Anton must’ve loved Nathalia so much that he did not care about his position and talked that way to his boss.“Mr Fuego,” Harold called him in a warning tone. It was as if he was splashed by a bucket of ice cold water, Anthon’s face instantly turned pale upon realizing what he had done. “I’m sorry, Sir Gabriel,” he muttered as he lowered his he

“Arrest?” Sabrina stiffened. The chief office stepped closer along with the other. “We received a complaint and said that Miss Sabrina Bennette had stolen some confidential documents from the company. We’re here to interrogate the suspect and investigate what happened”Subconsciously, Sabrina looked at Gabriel. She nearly had a heart attack as it was the very first time she had a face-to-face with the officers. She was a good citizen and never broke any rules, never did she even receive a ticket for any road violation as she always made sure to drive safely and accordingly. “Who called you?” Gabriel queried.Sabrina turned to him and saw his thick eyebrows were deeply furrowed. His blue eyes were somehow a little darker than usual while his sharp jaw hardened. Her body then straightened as she felt his palm gently rested on the small of her back.“A woman named Nathalia Smith called us and said it’s an urgent case,” the chief officer responded. Sabrina almost fainted at the scene. He didn’t do that! Her eyes went round as she glared at him. However, Gabriel just flashed her an amused smile before giving his attention back to her father. “Shouldn't we discuss this in my home?” Tomas said in a calm and polite tone. Sabrina's body straightened when she found her father's gaze. She was pretty sure he's going to ask a lot of questions and she was not ready to tell him what happened that night. Twisting her lips, she lowered her head and fiddled with her fingers. “I'm really planning to meet you outside to talk about this. I'm just waiting for your daughter's decision..” Gabriel trailed off. As soon as he said it, Sabrina could feel her father's stares. However, she didn't move, scared to see his reaction. He knew how badly she wanted to marry Anthon. And for him to learn she's suddenly married to another guy, moreover to their new boss must have shocked him to the core. “I will be pleased if you join us for dinner later

Meanwhile, the two scums halted from leaving the room and quickly turned around to face him. “You can’t stay here!” the scumbag of a manager exclaimed as if he’s the one who makes the rule. Gabriel's blue orbs darkened as he glared at Sabrina’s ex boyfriend. He was wondering what she saw in him when everything about him was trash. “You don’t have a say here, Anthon. Her breathing became heavy as she threw Nathalia a sharp look. “Just admit it so we can go back to work,” Anthon chimed in, “Stop wasting our time” Anger was creeping under her skin. She cannot believe that they could be that low just to drag her under the mud. Shutting her eyes tightly, she expanded her lungs and released a heavy breath. “We should call the cops now and take this scheming woman to jail, Sir Gabriel. One of the staff in the legal team took the zipped lock pouch and was about to pull out the usb inside. However, the door suddenly opened which made everyone stop and turn to whoever just entered the room. “Sir Gabriel..” all of them simultaneously greeted. Sabrina froze. Although she already expected him to come, her body still stiffened upon hearing his name. “Everyone please take a seat,” Harold requested. All of them joined her while she deliberately lowered her head. She was not really nervous with the accusation they were throwing at her but rather she was more afraid of Gabriel. She was not guilty of stealing, but if the CEO mentioned her contract, she was sure going to face charges. “Sab, are you okay?” Surprised, Sabrina flinched but immed

Sabrina stood at the last step of the stairs frozen. Her mind went blank upon seeing Anthon along with the legal team. “Miss Bennette, we invite you to the company for some questions,” Attorney Lucio, the M Corp’s legal team director. “W-what did I do?” she stammered. Although she knew the reason as to why they were there, she was in shock. Twenty four hours had not yet passed but they're already there to claim the payment. “Come with us. We’ll tell you once we're in the M Corp,” the attorney responded. Sabrina shook her head, “No. I already talked to Mr Mondragon” Anthon’s eyes darkened, “What? Did you seduce him because you know you don't have a way out?” Hearing his angry voice again, she couldn't help but feel a pang in her chest. She was not used to it as most of the time, Anthon stayed silent and just ignored her whenever there's a misunderstanding. But her prayer was too late. The door stopped closing and quickly opened wildly again as Anthon swiftly slid himself in between. “Where do you think you’re going?” He scowled. Sabrina frowned at him. “I’ve already resigned,” she muttered. She didn't care anymore and just wanted to leave that place. Staying in the same place with him was suffocating. “You what?” Anthon’s jaw dropped as he looked at her in disbelief. “You resigned?” Nathalia gasped, “Why?” Her voice was full of concern and if she didn’t know her true color yet, she would’ve fallen for her acting again. “Didn't you say you see yourself working here until you're old? What changes?” Her eyes narrowed at her but kept her mouth shut. “Stop this nonsense. You think you can fool me? Have you forgotten that I am the manager now and I’m the one who's going to receive your resignation letter?” Anthon hissed. His face was already red from anger, “You didn’t submit one yet so go back to your table now!” he demanded.
