“I think you came here to make me cry.”

I told him. He eased out of the hug and looked at me. then reached and wiped and caressed my eyes.

“Don’t cry, my baby.”

I smiled.

“Baby? I am going to be a mom.”

I reminded him. He smiled and kissed my forehead.

“Even if we have a hundred babies, you will still be my baby. I love you and I didn’t come here to make you cry. I just wanted to see you because I felt like I didn’t get the chance to celebrate with you earlier.”

He told me. I smiled and leaned into him.

“I am happy with how things are between us. I am happy with the way you reacted to the news. you told me you loved me as soon as the midwife told us that I was pregnant.”
