“Let’s go make sure that her efforts weren’t wasted.’’

I told Bernardo who smiled and kissed me one more time before leading me out of our room. I expected us to just walk to wherever it was that we were going within the palace but I was wrong because Bernardo led me to a waiting limo.

“We are taking a car?”

I asked him. He looked at me, smiled, and nodded before ushering me into the waiting vehicle. After which he got in too and the car pulled out of the place immediately.

“We can’t have the king and queen walking all dressed up, can we?”

I smiled and nodded in agreement. He pulled me close to himself even though there was a lot of space in the car.

Am I complaining? Not at all. I like being in his arms. It was my favorite place of all time. The ride didn’t take more than five minutes and we could have easily walked but like he said. Can’t have the king and queen walking all dressed up.
