“I still don’t like that you are leaving.”

I let out the next morning as Helaine got ready for her flight. She stopped fixing her shirt and looked at me. I smiled. Yeah, I was sad but I didn’t want to let the sadness spoil my last few hours with my sister.

“Come here.”

She said and opened her arms. I smiled again and went to hug her. She felt so familiar.

“I will be back and I promise I won’t run away once I come back.”

She promised me. I nodded. I thought of going with her, I still wanted to meet our relatives who live on the other side of the world but now wasn’t a good time. Luna lessons, healer lessons, and Bernardo might need me to do something for him.

Plus, how can Luna leave her pack at a critical time? That wasn’t something any Luna would do and I am not about to be the first.

“I will hold you to the promise. Come back soon,”
