Awkwardness

When I wake, I'm in a bed I know isn't the one I slept in. I can't remember anything for a moment, and then it floods back. Everything hits me. I had one of the worst attacks last night, and Jax took care of me.

Jax!

After everything, the last thing I needed was for them to see me in that mess. I move and pull away from his body.

"That's not fair." His words are quiet, and my eyes rise to see his face—smirking away at me.

"Sorry about last night. I drank too much." Sitting up, I pulled the blanket around my body. "Wait, you carried me?" I didn't realise last night. Now I do. He picked me up and carried me.

"Right? Why do you look shocked by the fact I carried you?" He sits waiting, and I shrug.

"Nothing," I lie and see my nighty on the bottom of the bed. Grabbing it, I pull it over my body. I'm not small, and any guy I had been with complained over my size, and Jax is the first one to lift me in any damn way.
