Chapter Fifty

It was only the next day they were to venture into the office. Ryan had offered to drive her. Tally had shaken her head. “We don’t do that.”

He lifted an eyebrow at her. “Why?”

“Because no one at the office knows about us being married.” Tally let him know, looking down at his hands.

“Tally, look at me.” When she lifted his head. “Why?” he was suspicious of the fact that he had chosen not to tell anyone.

Tally could see the look in his eyes. “It wasn’t your idea, but mine.”

Ryan was surprised by this. “Then again, why?”

Tally felt uncomfortable telling him the next bit. The old Ryan had known her history. This Ryan, with his missing memories, didn’t and he could see it in a different light now. “I was engaged just before we got married.”
