TCG: Chapter 26

“Amanah, please talk to me,” Miall begged again as I exited the bathroom. His hoodie sat comfortably around my belly, and the shorts were everything; I felt so alive after that shower.

Sitting on the bed, I grabbed my tissue oil and lifted my legs to try and massage them; Miall seeing my struggles, kneeled and grabbed my leg, soothingly pressing in the oil on my foot.

“Are you really not going to talk to me?” He whispered as he stared up at me, looking extremely sorry. Miall and I had played this song before, and it was boring now.

“What do you want me to say?” I asked him as I leaned back on my hands. “You said it isn’t what it looked like, so it isn’t what it looked like,” I shrugged, and the pressure increased on my foot.

“Because it isn’t! I promise you, Amanah. Please.”

“When you met me at Frankie’s bar that night, what did you think of me?” I asked as I put my left foot on his thigh.

“I thought you were beautiful,” I could tell he was lying because he wanted me to forgive him.
