By the time I finished, she had gone silent and I knew her mouth was hanging open even though I couldn't turn around to see her.

I heard her take a deep breath and I heard the click of the mug on the saucer.

“What are you trying to say, Eden? That you're possessed?”

I nodded but remembered that she couldn't see me.

“Yes, I am. I don't know why but I am."

“And a witch kidnapped you?”

“Sounds like a fairytale right? Hansel and Gretel. I don't know how I ended up in that house or in that neighborhood. I tried to run, Alicia but there were no doors, no windows and I didn't know what to do."

“So how did you end up escaping? Did she finally let you go?”
