Susan Begs For Forgiveness

Susan got to her father-in-law's door and hesitated. She was so scared. She did not know how he would react seeing her. They have not been best of friends since she married into the Bleak household.

She raised her hand to knock but paused in the mid-air and exhaled and then inhaled and finally knocked and waited to be invited in. After a second, Senior Bleak invited her in. She opened the door as if she was afraid that the door would disappear if she manhandled it, which she knew she was not planning to do.

Susan stood two feet away from the bed, Senior Bleak was engrossed in his phone so he did not realize that she was the one. He thought it might be one of the maids and when the person who walked into his room did not say a word, he looked up to see his daughter-in-law looking all humble.

"Hi Susan," he said and dropped his phone and asked her to sit down.

"Good morning, Dad."

"Morning, sweet daughter. I am surprised to see you in my room," he said and raised his brows.
