Saving His New Girlfriend

"That's me, I wondered what my girlfriend did to you to make you want to hit her?" Luke asked casually and walked to Christy, "are you okay, darling?" Luke asked Christy, looking over her to make sure she was okay.

Christy smiled at him, she was amused at the sudden claim of ownership from her new boyfriend

"I am fine," she managed to say.

Stacy was not sure if she heard him right. Did he say, girlfriend? How did she not know?

"Did you say, girlfriend?" Stacy asked. The matter before her was more than the issue of her damaged car.

"You heard me right. So like I said before, what did she do that made you want to hit her?"

Stacy stood rooted with no word coming from her mouth. Christy saw that the lady was not ready to table her offense, so she decided to do it herself.

"She ran into us and insisted that we pay for the damages to her car."

Luke grinned and looked at Stacy, "is that so? How much are we talking about here?"
