Resentment
His POV
I could barely hold on to the last thread of my sanity. As an elder and a council member, I had since learnt to mask and conceal my emotions.
Everything unfolding was really invoking my anger. How could these mere kids posses such power!? The Luminous Pack alpha concealed such a vital detail from the council why? This is punishable by death. Not really, but I so dearly want to see him punished. Once they discovered that this little Missy had such power, they had to inform the council. They concealed it because obviously, they distrust the council. What do they know? I need to play my cards right so that I gather all the necessary information. In as much as I loathe this, I have to plaster a 'genuine' smile on my face. I have to be totally floored by such news. Who knows, maybe shed a tear or two of happiness. Yay, our kind have been chosen! Hmph! Such nonsense. Power should not be given to those who do not kno
His POVI watch closely as the stupid werewolves ogled at the egocentric demi god. I feel a deep hatred overtake my soul. I shake my head and mentally chastise myself. I cannot afford to blow my cover just yet. I have to come up with a plan that is viable.I smile smugly when an incredible idea pops into my head. What if I can destroy these gods. Granted, that definitely is not an easy feat to accomplish, but where there is a will, there is always a way. Aha! I know what I have to do. I have to invest what little time I have into unraveling their weaknesses. They all got to have some weakness. That's my task for now. I am going to study on their weaknesses. Good thing this Luminous Pack has a well stocked Library. Right in this great hall. With my position, no one will get suspicious at all. It will also save me a lot of effort t fake smiles. I will get enough time in seclusion.Just this idea greatly improves my mood. I a
Harold's POVHappiness flooded my whole being. I was in pure ecstasy. I had the werewolf king wrapped around my little finger. Now he will do my bidding.Granted, the barrier that puny wolf has put up is really fortified. I cannot penetrate. I have tried all means but failed. However, I am not called the greatest wizard for nothing. I despise failure. I don't believe in failure. I racked my mind till a solution popped up. I am a member of the council and we all have a special bond. We can send telepathic messages to each other. It was devised so that, in case one of us is in trouble, we would notify others without giving anything away. It was also we could keep secrets. I decided to manipulate the bond. There are six council members from the werewolf kind. I analysed all of them and the only plausible choice was the king. I swear that man could slaughter an entire race and no one would know. He has an incredible ability to
Failure: A Bitter Pill To Swallow 2Harold's POVAs the Azanian spoke, I felt bile rising and it left a vile taste in my mouth. The taste of failure was both foul and bitter. My knees just buckled and all color just drained from my face. The pain of losing before the race has even completed is sickening. How did I overlook all that. Come to think of it, I should have notified this warlock of my intentions. In as much as I hate to admit it, he is much more level headed than I am. Now I have once again messed up and by now Magnus will be knowing what I am trying to do. That man's wrath knows no bounds. I try to hold on to a little sliver of hope but as Mtungagore carries on, deep down I know I've failed."Harold, they are called werewolves because they are humans with a spirit wolf as a guardian. Not only do they share their feelings, they share everything. What the human sees, hears, feels, tastes, or does, the wolf does t
The Moon Picked PackUnknown POVIt had been a while, since Harold brought a number of wolves into the Wizard Realm. He had promised them power and wealth. However, the action they were promised was yet to come. Thee wolves became restless and agitated. They felt confined and somewhat imprisoned. They were missing their homes. They hardly had had any time to talk to or see Harold. Some of the wolves began to question their Alphas.Obviously they were brought to the Wizard Realm under false information. They were lied to that, the Luminous pack wanted to seize all other packs and become the ultimate pack ruling all wolves. These despicable alphas lied to their pack members about the whole situation. They told their pack members that the Luminous pack alpha wanted to oust the king and probably take over . The pack members were disgruntled to have been forced to live their homes. They missed running and hunting. The Wizard Realm was a wh
Unknown POVAs the Azanian warlock projected his thoughts on Jacob, the wolves became wary. They had already agreed that Jacob would be their alpha. So, they were quite edgy about the warlock being so close to their alpha. However, it lasted just about up to a minute tops. When Jacob was out of his momentary daze, he noted how his pack was agitated. He spoke to them in a booming voice. Most of them were surprised to note that, he had the alpha's tone. They then figured it must be because he earned it, since he had badly injured those twenty alphas in the wizard realm. When they submitted to him, they transferred their alpha powers to him. His aura was thrice that of their alphas. Despite that, all these wolves came from different packs, they were closely knit. They became a pack."Children of the moon goddess, we have become one pack because of our desire for freedom. We are right now aiming to free ourselves
Unknown POVWhen the Moon Picked Pack arrived at the great hall, they were quite awed. They had never seen such a big pack house. It looked ancient yet the architecture was sophisticated. The interior was breathtaking. The hall where they were ushered into, looked like a stadium. It was humongous with intricate designs that made it uniquely beautiful. As they waited for their alpha to return, they were shown to the bathrooms to freshen up. After that, they were ushered into an insanely huge dining room. The table was so big, they all sate there. They never knew about this development. Their former alphas his all this from them. They did not know anything about the Luminous Pack housing all other wolves, they did not inform their members. Instead, they were told that Harold was the one who was opening his realm to all other races. They did know that there was an impending war, but they did not know the whole truth. The very reason they sort to
Bruised EgoHarold P O VIm still struggling to accept that I failed to compell Magnus into doing my bidding. The anger and the shame I’ve been consuming me for the last few days. When I finally gathered the strength to face my demons, i came up with a plan. I decided to strengthen my lightening powers. I took days recreating and readjusting the existing spell into one thats much more darker and stronger. When i was cock sure that i had perfected the spell,I decided to go and see Tina.My daughter Tina has an elemental affinity to fire. This however, we hid from everyone ,i then decided to teleport myself to Tinas house. When i got there lenny and Carla where sitting in the lounge. They both had headphones on. What buffles me is the fact that they did not even sense my presence. These kids are part wolf , part vampire and half witch. Irrespective of the fact they had they are supernaturals, They’re lack of alertness worries me. Being part wolves, They&r
Writer's POVAfter Harold and ensured that Lenny had shifted back to his human form, he's anger resume once again. He decided to follow the wolves that he had escaped. Harold knew that they would only head for the Luminous pack. With a renewed zeal and zest for revenge, Harold teleported himself right to the Luminous Pack borders. He could not accept defeat. He could not accept the fact that, mere wolves or rather, stupid mutts as he loves to refer them, had outwitted him. Hell, they had even rendered his powers useless. How did they escape his stronghold? He had ensured that their wolves were suppressed as well. However, in spite of all his precautions, the wolves still managed to escape. Harold's anger rose to unimaginable magnitudes. This was plainly unacceptable. He had faced many worthy opponents in his days, never had he been outwitted by those whom he considered lower and useless than him. To him, wolves where nothing. They held no power nor
Summer POVThe pain is excruciating but my mind is not foggy anymore. I watch everyone running around in a daze. Dr. Boyce is now in his garb and instructing Hailey on what to do. I playback everything that just happened in a bid to ignore the pain. What can I do? I have to come up with a way to cope with it. I recall that when I heard the whisper, 'Umbrage', it was a voice I had almost forgotten. However, if I could not reach out to even my mate when Carla was about to snatch my baby away, how did Hailey, the triplets, and the twins know? Was I hallucinating or did I really glimpse Lenny leading them? Everyone, except Michael, Aurora, mother, Hailey, and Doctor Boyce remained in the room with me. The others had to disperse. The truth is they just left the room but they are all huddles behind the door. Of course, I can scent them. My contractions are now coming every three minutes. According to Hailey, I am quite near.I am just glad that I have a brief moment of relief. This pain i
Summer POVWhen I hear someone whisper that despicable dark witch's name, something snaps in me. The dizziness and nausea, cannot hold me down.It is high time I stop behaving like a damsel in distress. Every little trigger, I faint. No more. "Summer! Somebody help! My mate is bleeding profusely. Dr. Boyce, please do something!"I force myself to lift my hand and smack Michael across the face. He gasps and looks at me. My eyes are still blurry but my mind is not foggy at all. I know that I cannot say anything loudly now, but I can surely mentally convey the message. "None of you should try and take me to the hospital. If anything, grandma, Apollo, mother, Mtungagore, and Lesedi, combine forces and do everything you can to delay this baby. I cannot give birth now. Not until we find Tina. We find Tina, we find Umbrage. Then we put an end to all this.""But Aurora is not here, she..""Oh, but I already caught the culprit. I am here now."Grandma Aurora saunters in dragging Tina and Carl
Summer POV"Summer!"Hearing the anxiety in their voices I decide to fight the fatigue and force my eyelids to open.Squinting to shield my eyes from the bright light, I open my eyes tentatively. The look of concern etched on everyone's face tugs at my heartstrings.I raise my hand in a bid to silence them. I am parched and water would be salvation at this moment. Micheal reacts fast and brings me a glass, whilst wiping off his tears with the other."Here, drink up princessa."He says with so much concern as he props me up to an almost sitting position. To my dismay, he only allows me a sip, before pulling the glass away. I glare at him but he only smiles."Lo siento mi querida princessa, but you have to drink it slowly. Doctor's orders."He shrugs at the same time giving me the puppy eyes. I raise my hand to stroke his overgrown stubble and nod. Everyone watches with bated breath whilst I take my time to drink enough water."Before any of you bombard me with questions, can somebody te
Summer POVTime seems to be stagnant and the dream, endless. The peace and tranquillity soothe my soul. I have no idea when last I enjoyed such peace. It has been so long since I could sleep in like this. I yawn at the same time, cursing at the sun for rising too early. Why can the night not stretch for a full twenty-four hours? I mentally curse at whoever pulled the blinds open to allow such blinding sunlight. Groggy, I try to raise my hand to shield myself from the penetrating sun, only to be restricted by an unknown shackle. I try again but no such luck. Wait. Restraints on my hands? How, who, and why?Panicky, I try harder but a soft voice causes me to halt all my attempts. "There, there, dear child, do not panic. If you allow me, can I have a word with you?""First take the restraints off my hands. It certainly wouldn't be a fair fight if you have me all tied up now, would it?"A melodious sound resonates from what I presume to be her direction, as I still have my eyes closed.
Summer POVThe seaweed, as per Nyaminyami's instructions, is to enable us to breathe in water. Unfortunately, we cannot teleport ourselves to his lair. Therefore, we only had to dive into the deep blue sea. Surprisingly, the water was not as cold as it should normally be. The journey to the great snake people's kingdom was quite easy. We have Nyaminyami to thank for that. For us to find his location, he left a beam of light for us. Had Poseidon not rushed to his home earlier, he would have been able to take us there without any problem. Either way, we will meet at Nyaminyami's place. As heavily pregnant as I am, I'm surprised swimming is so easy for me. There must be magic in this water. Before we know it, we arrive at the great snake's home. These serpents are huge and quite unusual I must say. Back on land, they just seemed to be just big giant snakes. However, here, I am gobsmacked. They have hands and almost humanlike heads! As a wolf, I am quite brave but seeing the Nyaminyami
Summer POVMtungagore did not waste any time, he brought Sid back just before dusk. Upon seeing him, I had mixed feelings. Anger and gratitude at the same time. Anger because he allowed Harold to fool him. Grateful for the fact that, had he decided not to retaliate in the end, I most certainly, would have perished in that inferno. At the end of it all, I owe him one and my heart just cannot hate him. He, like many others, was deceived as well. But his strong sense of justice made him overcome. He is the epitome of humanity. "Summer! Is it really you? Howling hailstorm! It is really you!"This guy is insufferable. From where does he get these expressions of his? I cannot contain the smile that slowly creeps onto my lips. I know for sure that I am happy to see him. I walk closer to him and give him a brief hug. "Not possible matey, your belly is protruding. I would not want to disturb the little warrior in there. From the looks of it, you won't have to wait long till you meet him.""
Summer POVI pride myself on being a werewolf. We are practically gifted with extremely heightened senses. However, right now, I feel as if my sense of sight is failing. When we left barely ten days ago, this place was in total ruins. But now, my eyes must be dysfunctional. This place looks nothing like it was when we left. The three-story upper part of the great hall has been erected. Construction workers, whom I believe to be human are busy at work. Together with just a dozen of our men. How could uncle Luke do this? Honestly, how can he bring humans to our realm soon after the war? Are we not capable enough? How then can our people celebrate the victory if humans are amongst us?Besides, this is not the time for us to interact with humans. We are yet to rebuild and they obviously will question such a big structure hidden in the middle of the jungle. "Calmate mi querida princessa. I am sure uncle Luke would not make such a blunder. There is surely a good explanation for this."Mi
AzaniaSummer POV"Now let us re-cloak him with the invisibility spell. I am sure we all do not want any more surprises. Let's do that before leaving for Azania."Aurora says this through clenched teeth. She is seething mad and she is trying so hard to contain it. As I draw closer to Lucifer so we can perform the spell together, once again, my son stops me. "You have to leave now mama. There is no time and besides, it is way too risky to linger around here. You can cloak him once you reach Azania."Before asking his reason, I once again, mentally convey the message to my crew. No one interjects. I have already told them about the voice. What I did not do, is telling them who exactly is bringing the messages to me. Mother's instinct I guess. Aurora creates the portal and we all step in. Surprisingly, we do not emerge at the great pyramids of Azania. Instead, our destination is some clearance near a vast river. Everyone stares at Aurora with quizzical gazes. "Oh please don't. If we co
IncapacitatedLucifer's POVHe sweeps his huge tail and throws my captors all a distance away. Only grunts, gasps, and growls signify their annoyance and possibly pain."Jormungand quickly come over here. Forget about that human!""Ah, but she looks tasty your Horridness!""Trust me you vile serpent, she is not as simple as you consider her to be. Do you think I would be in this state if she was as simple as a late lunch snack?""You must be growing old and rusty your Vileness. Allow me or else, I will not rescue you."With that, he shuts me out.I try compelling him and it works. Why the hell did I just not do that from the beginning? My mind is getting mushy lately. It must be the bounds. Just as he coils himself around me, the leader of the Seneca must have seen me. That means Jormungand broke the invisibility spell. The Seneca roars with so much rage that his voice echoes. "You deceptive fool! You knew that if I were to get wind of your predicament, I would not help! You will not
