As the Azanian warlock projected his thoughts on Jacob, the wolves became wary. They had already agreed that Jacob would be their alpha. So, they were quite edgy about the warlock being so close to their alpha. However, it lasted just about up to a minute tops. 

When Jacob was out of his momentary daze, he noted how his pack was agitated. He spoke to them in a booming voice. Most of them were surprised to note that, he had the alpha's tone. They then figured it must be because he earned it, since he had badly injured those twenty alphas in the wizard realm. When they submitted to him, they transferred their alpha powers to him. His aura was thrice that of their alphas. Despite that, all these wolves came from different packs, they were closely knit. They became a pack. 

"Children of the moon goddess, we have become one pack because of our desire for freedom.
