Xander said in a serious voice, "I don't want to have a child right now."

'He doesn't want a child? Well, fine, but why is he so gruff about it?' Abigail thought to herself. "If you say no, then it's no. I can't force you..." She felt a bit hurt, then suddenly remembered something very important. 'Xander can't have a child! How could I ask him? I was so thoughtless; I almost hurt his feelings.'

Abigail sneaked a glance at him. His expression did not change, but she still felt a strong pressure. 'He's angry! I'm sure he's angry!' she thought, feeling like slapping herself.
