"Dispute or not, you have no right to accuse Abigail of theft." Xander's voice, cold as ice, resounded through the phone. "Max, keep your Guzman clan in check. If any of you dare lay a finger on Abigail again, I won't let it slide." Without another word, Xander hung up.

Max listened to the unending beep of the disconnected call, his face darkening by the second, anger coursing through him as he hurled his phone across the room.

He and Xander were born in the same year, with Max being a few months older. They both were successors of the Big Four Families.
