Chapter 203

When his own wife was mentioned, Xander immediately turned his attention to Abigail, noticing her pace was a little weird. He gasped when he noticed her heels were bloodied when he looked downward.

'Abigail doesn't have anyone to carry her so she must be forcing herself to walk. She must be in pain with every step she takes, but her expression isn't showing it. How stubborn yet determined is this lady!'

Xander wished he could carry her so she would not have to suffer, but his status prohibited him from doing so and he slowed down his pace so she could try her best to catch up to him.

Not waiting for Xander's reply nor understanding what his thoughts were, Javor continued, "Mr. Zane, is it too much trouble to mention your wife?"

"It's no trouble at all, my wife doesn't come from high society, but she's a good woman. She's a little stubborn, hardworking, and has her own pride. She deserves all the praise in the world," replied Xander as he observed Abigail's situation from the corner
