Xander did not immediately continue the conversation, knowing Abigail liked dresses and hence he had come to Samantha's place to find luxury goods for her. After a moment of silence, Samantha asked, "Are you serious about being with her?"

Xander smiled and replied, "She's my wife. Who else would if I don't?"

Samantha smiled bitterly. "You said you're not interested in a relationship and don't have feelings for me when I asked you out during our university years. I even believed you when you said you wouldn't want one in your lifetime until I received the news of your marriage recently. When my anger had not subsided, you even had the gall to ask me to sell the dress my mentor and I made together. What's more? You brought the person along even when I had not agreed to it. Mr. Zane, are you intentionally trying to piss me off?"

Xander replied, "I'm not pulling your leg. Anyone I marry is the same to me, someone to live together with, as long as it makes Grandmother happy."
