When I got into my room, I locked the door and sat down on my bed thinking of what just happened.

I was jolted out of my thoughts by a loud knock, it was really loud

I panicked

I started looking for what I can use to protect myself but low and behold, there was nothing.

The door cracked open and I screamed

"Princess Aurora?"

Princess Aurora walked into my room and closed the door softly

"Hello human"

"Hello vampire?"

She chuckled softly

"Touché"

She walked towards me and sat on the bed

"You're really stunning. What are you called?" She said tracing her fingers on my face, I leaned back

"A-Anika. My name is Anika" I said clutching my pillow tightly, it can serve as a weapon.

Princess Aurora's fingers moved to my neck and I got scared. What's she doing?

"Princess Aurora?"

"Hmm?"

"What are you doing?" I asked but her eyes were fixed on my neck

Then she suddenly pulled me to her and I yelped

"Let me go!" I screamed trying to push her but she was really strong.

Of course, she's a vampire, a pureblood at that.

"Ssh! It won't hurt dear"

She said nuzzling into my neck painfully

"You smell so good"

She wants to bite me, she wants to suck me dry, looks like I will be her desert.

"Please let go" I cried out but she tilted my head forcefully and got ready to suck me or bite me, whatever they do

Suddenly the door banged open

I cried out in relief

"Prince Derrek please help!"

"Aurora let her go"

Princess Aurora sighed and then let me go. Then she started laughing like a maniac.

"I was just playing around brother. Seeing as she's the one, I couldn't resist the temptation" She said wiping my tears, I hit her hand away

"You don't get to play with my emotions, I'm not a pet or a plaything" I said

They laughed at me

"Rest dear, tomorrow is gonna be a long day" Prince Derrek said touching my head

I felt drowsy

Was I Compelled? Pureblood are able to compel humans so yes maybe Prince Derrek compelled me.

Scum bags, all of them.

"He's definitely gonna break her, she's too defiant" he said

"Yup, he will"

That was the last thing I heard before I fell asleep.

We were all dressed in black pants, shirt and black combat boots. In other words, killer outfits.

Now the question is why?

Well, today is the beginning of the competition and the start of our torture.

And guess who is present today,

The fucker that stole my freedom.

"So ladies, this is the beginning of the contest and unfortunately, His majesty couldn't join us because I believe he has more important things to do than watch a group of young girls die. We would commence immediately" Mr Michaelson said

Group of young girls die? What was that?

Ada scoffed

"Typical" she said and everyone laughed, even Mr Michaelson cracked a smile.

I know I have asked this before but I must ask again.

"You all going into the forest outside the castle. For you to have an impact in the vampire world or in this Kingdom, you must be a surviver" Mr Michaelson said and everyone gasped

They really want us dead

"That's very crazy Mr Michaelson, that forest is for rogue vampires, we can't go in"

Sweet Andrea, a girl I had come to know this morning during breakfast.

She had brown curly hair and brown eyes, sounds plain and boring but she is nothing like that. She's really pretty.

"You must go in. If you don't want to die then try to survive. At the end of all the competitions and trials, only one girl will come out as the winner" he said smiling

"If you wanted one person, why did you get all of us? We all have to die so one unlucky soul gets to be the King's whore?" I yelled angrily

"Yes you're right, any problem?" Mr Michaelson said moving close to me threateningly

"You vampires are sick bastards, filth!" I spat clenching my fists

"Ok ok, that was heated" Ada said grabbing my arm and shielding me from Mr Michaelson

"So are we leaving for the forest or what?" Ada said changing the topic before I would become a snack for the dog

"You leave immediately, and remember, you can't run least you want to die then be my guest" he said glaring at me

And with that we were standing in front of the forest

"Goodluck girls, you would need it" he said and vamped out

We moved into the forest.

It was dark and creepy, everything you would see in a horror movie.

"Are we gonna die?"

So she's scared, thought she didn't love her life.

"Shut up Janice, I'm not going to die in a forest like an animal" Ciara said

"Well who knows, you might really die here" I said looking at her and smirking

That bitch brings out the worst in me.

"I won't die before you, that's a promise" Ciara said with a scowl on her face

"Let's split up. If we keep walking like this we would be easy targets" Ada said

"But in every horror movie, splitting up is a bad idea" Bianca tall blonde girl with grey eyes

"This isn't a movie Bianca, it's real" Ciara said

It's real and hopefully we don't die here
