I never thought I could say such a word , but as Jeremy held my hands tightly, I gazed at our interlocked fingers. Reluctantly, I pulled away and coughed to break the tension.

"Feeling shy all of a sudden?" Jeremy teased, not even looking at me as we waited in line for the ride tickets.

"I apologize for my words earlier; I simply didn't want him to perceive me as a woman still pining over him," I explained, letting out a sigh.

Encountering Mark today displeases me.I regret investing over a year of my time in a relationship with him that ultimately proved to be a waste.
