ROSALIND LIGHTWOOD★

I groaned loudly as the incessant caller refused to stop calling. Isn't it too early to be calling someone at this hour of the morning?

I struggled to open my eyes against the blinding sun, reaching out to grab the phone and answer the call without checking the caller ID.

"This is way too early to be calling, whoever you are. I'm busy," I mumbled groggily.

"Have you been drinking? What happened to you?" I heard my mum's voice, prompting me to stand up immediately and check the caller ID.

"Mum? I'm so sorry, I didn't check who was calling," I apologized.

"Do you even know what time it is? You were crying over the phone when you called your dad and me. Is everything okay? You scared us last night," Mum yelled.

As I checked the time and realized it was already past one, memories of the previous day at the company flooded back, causing me to let out a heavy sigh.

"Is everything alright, Rosa?" I heard my dad's concerned voice.
