Rose’s Point of View

“Rose is right, Hilary. You should get treatment quickly if you’re sick. A brain tumor isn’t trivial. Your life could be in serious danger if cancer cells spread,” the nurse said, her tone filled with concern.

Hilary’s dramatic screams had already gathered a crowd of curious werewolves outside the consultation room. They peeked in through the door, murmuring amongst themselves. Their concern seemed genuine, likely stemming from the fact that Hilary had once saved the Alpha’s life.

“Rose is a good doctor. She’s saved plenty of lives, especially after the construction accident,” one werewolf assured her. “She won’t harm you, Hilary. We’ll make sure of it.”

“Exactly. You should do everything you can to stay alive. Delaying this only makes things worse,” another chimed in.

“Let’s get started, then,” someone said. “Nurse, prepare to shave Hilary’s head. The operation mustn’t be delayed any longer.”

The suggestion caused Hilary to freeze. Panic flickered across her face

I hadn’t seen Rose since the day in the forest, yet I couldn’t forget her expression. Her light brown eyes shone with fear and disgust, as if she had seen a monster—and that monster was me.But what did I expect? Gratitude? Forgiveness? After all I’d done to her, her hatred was justified. It should have been enough to push her out of my mind. Yet, her image lingered.“Shit, Jack. You’re pathetic,” Uriel, my wolf, growled, his voice sharp with disdain. “She’s your enemy—a slave now. You shouldn’t feel anything for her. If anything, you should be thanking me. Now that she hates you, she’ll steer clear of you.”“Thank you, Uriel,” I said flatly. My wolf’s voice faded, but his words hung in the air. I hated that he was right. Rose and I were fated mates, but fate had clearly made a mistake. I didn’t deserve a mate, least of all Rose.“You know, you’re better off without her. You’re not capable of love, Jack. You’re a killer, a warrior. You don’t need her,” Uriel said, calmer this time, as

Rose's POVA week had passed, and my life in the hospital had gradually become more comfortable. At first, the other werewolves treated me with distrust. Some patients refused to let me treat them, and my colleagues kept their distance, unwilling to work alongside me. I understood why—they saw me as the enemy, the daughter of the Alpha who had once attacked their pack. But things began to change. Slowly. After successfully treating a few patients, I earned their trust. They started to see me as more than just a name tied to their pain. My colleagues began including me in their discussions, sharing their insights and teaching me things I’d never known. They were skilled, dedicated, and surprisingly kind. These werewolves weren’t the cruel and ruthless monsters my father had described. They were humble, grateful, and hardworking. The more I learned about them, the more I questioned the decisions that had brought us to this point. Why had my father invaded this pack? What had driven him

Rose had uncovered my lie. She knew I was pretending to be sick, and she used it to humiliate me. She deliberately wanted to put me under the knife, as if to show everyone how powerless I was against her. What if she’d gone through with the operation? She could have killed me right there on the operating table, and no one would have batted an eye. That merciless bitch. The werewolves of the Blue Lagoon pack were blind. How could they not see through her? She wasn’t some innocent, hardworking doctor trying to help the pack. No, she was the enemy, and she was manipulating everyone, turning them against me little by little.I couldn’t risk staying in the hospital. I bolted before they could strap me down. But my luck only worsened when I ran straight into Jack outside the building. His expression was cold—colder than I had ever seen it. I’d never feared Jack before, but at that moment, the weight of his authority pressed down on me.“This is my last warning, Hilary,” he said, his voice l

Hilary's point of view:Certain that Jack would accept his offer, Loren gave me a look of confidence."Sorry, Alpha Loren, but I won't sell Rose. She belongs to me, "said Jack nonchalantly before leaning back in his chair and looking at us, Loren and me, condescendingly.Did I hear correctly? Had Jack just said that Ross was his? I couldn't believe my ears. I felt my heart break so much I was suffering. I was seized by jealousy and despair.Jack and I had known each other for years. And we had supported each other to spend the worst moments in the dungeon. But, it was the first time he also showed himself possessive."Jack, do you forget that the Blue Lagoon pack needs money? It's a new pack and it needs funding. Besides, it's not like Loren is our enemy. We also can't afford to offend the other packs " I tried to persuade Jack , after calming down."The situation of the Blue Lagoon pack is not so critical, we will not starve even without these fifty million dollars. In addition, Rose

When I learned Rose no longer lived in the dungeon, I was furious. Jack’s kindness toward her was inexplicable. Giving her an apartment? Treating her like an equal? She was supposed to be a slave, and yet, she lived better than most wolves in the pack. That was when I knew—something had to be done.My plan unfolded with precision. I discreetly smuggled Loren’s werewolves into Blue Lagoon territory and waited for the perfect moment. After learning Rose’s schedule, I timed my move for when she was at work.Breaking into her apartment was laughably easy. Once inside, I made my way to her bedroom and poured a heavy dose of sleeping drug into the carafe of water she kept on her nightstand. Then I stationed Loren’s werewolves outside, while I took the apartment opposite hers. Through my telescope, I could see everything. When Rose returned home, she went about her routine—cooking, cleaning, and tidying her room. It took every ounce of patience I had not to scream at how slowly she moved. Fi

Jack’s point of view After finishing the last of my paperwork, I was preparing to turn in for the night when Lydia reached out to me through the mental link. Her voice carried a sense of urgency that instantly put me on edge.“Jack, Rose is missing,” she said.Without hesitation, I sent word to my men, ordering them to comb through our entire territory for her. Meanwhile, I rushed to her apartment, where Lydia was already waiting.“I came to bring her food, but she didn’t answer the door,” Lydia explained as soon as I arrived. “I asked the guards stationed downstairs, and they confirmed they saw her return from the hospital earlier. I forced the lock, but when I got inside, the place was empty. And her belongings—some of them are gone.”My jaw tightened. “What about Andrea? Is she still here?”“Yes,” Lydia replied, her face pale. “She’s at my house playing with Grace.”Her words didn’t sit right with me. Rose would never abandon her sister, no matter the situation.I stepped into the

Hilary’s Point of ViewNever before had Jack shouted at me so harshly, and I had never seen him so shaken. It was as if he was barely holding himself together. But why? Why was he so upset over her? Why was he yelling at me because of that worthless girl?My chest tightened with anger, but I forced my eyes to well with tears, letting sadness paint my face. I knew how to play my role. I let my lip tremble and my gaze fall to the ground, ensuring I looked pitiful and hurt.Jack’s threatening glare softened when he noticed my tearful expression. As always, my act worked. Whenever I pushed him too far, all I had to do was appear fragile, and he would back down. This time would be no different. Without Rose, everything would go back to how it used to be between us. That thought alone filled me with relief, even joy.Loren’s men had done their job—or so I thought. The fabricated scene they had created should have been enough to convince Jack to give up his search. But as Jack knelt to pick

Rose’s Point of ViewWhen I returned to my apartment, I drank some water and collapsed onto my bed. Exhaustion overwhelmed me, and before I could process the strange heaviness in my limbs, I blacked out completely. The next time I woke up, everything was swaying slightly, and the low hum of an engine filled my ears. My head throbbed, and I struggled to orient myself.Opening my eyes, I was met with Loren’s smug face, his arm firmly wrapped around my waist. His grin was obscene, his eyes predatory.“Get your hands off me! Why am I here?” I spat, trying to wrestle free from his grip. Only then did I realize we were in a moving car, speeding down a rugged, uneven road. The pitch-black sky outside confirmed it was the middle of the night.Loren tightened his hold, ignoring my struggles. “Why the hostility, sweetheart? You were sleeping so peacefully in my arms just moments ago. Don’t you want to rest a little longer?” His voice was a sickening mix of mockery and desire, his eyes glinting

Jack’s point of view:I went to Rose’s dormitory and knocked on the door, which was opened by Bianca. My sudden arrival shocked her."Jack? What are you doing here at such a late hour?""I came to see Rose. Is she awake?" When I entered the room, I expected Rosse to still be there. My eyes swept the room and I realised that there was no one else here except Bianca and me. Rose was no longer in the room."Where is Rose, Bianca?” I turned to look at her and asked her in a tense voice."She's fine. She woke up some time ago. An hour ago, she received a phone call and went out to meet a friend. But, she was behaving a little strangely, and she was pompome, as if she was preparing for a date," Bianca replied with a craving stuck between her teeth."I don't think she went to meet a friend." I took a few moments to think carefully. An hour had passed since Rose had left the dormitory. I walked to the window and noticed the cosmetics placed on the table that she had used. My mind thought back

Rose's point of view:I was in a long dream, in which there was an endless night filled with snow.Suddenly, I opened my eyes and the dream ended. My mind was in a daze. The light from the streetlights outside penetrated through the gaps of the curtains. Why was it so late? Wasn't I having a coffee with Lucy earlier? I jumped out of bed and walked to the window. Outside, the snow was slowly melting.A strange nausea seized me. When I saw the snow in front of me, the first thing that came to my mind was Aaron. For some reason, I felt a strong desire to share this point of view with him. When we were in the Maroon Hill Pack, we used to go skiing together. He was skilful and could pass without too much trouble between the snow and the woods.I went back to my bed and lay down there, closing my eyes. My mind was filled with thoughts about Aaron: his charming eyes, his well-defined figure and his wonderfully soft voice. The horrible and repulsive things he had done before seemed to be a va

Jack’s Point of View“What else did you do for Aaron? Did you have a hand in Rose’s kidnapping?”I leaned back in my chair, crossing my legs, my gaze fixed on Lucy as I continued my questioning.I had always suspected her involvement, but without concrete evidence, I couldn’t act on mere intuition. Now, the truth was unraveling before me.Lucy knelt on the floor, her head bowed. The once-perfect makeup on her face was now smeared with tears, like a shattered mask revealing the ugliness hidden beneath.“I did help Aaron, but I thought he just wanted to reconcile with Rose,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “He used to love her so much… I never imagined he would actually hurt her. Rose and I are friends. I would never intentionally harm her.”She raised her head slightly, meeting my eyes with a shameless sort of boldness, as if she truly believed she had done nothing wrong.“Aaron kidnapped Rose and threatened to kill her if the Blue Lagoon Pack didn’t surrender,” I state

Jack’s Point of View“Alright, give me a second.” I wiped the corner of my mouth with a napkin, my mind swirling with suspicion. Standing up from my seat, I made my way toward Lucy, pretending to grab a fork.I had no intention of leaving. I just wanted to see what she was up to tonight.Reaching the door, I hesitated briefly before turning back. As expected, something was off. Inside the private dining room, Lucy was hurriedly pulling a small bottle of red liquid from her bag. Bent over my glass, she quickly poured its contents into my wine.“What did you just put in my drink?” My voice was sharp as I leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, staring her down.Lucy’s head snapped up, her face draining of color. Panic flickered in her eyes as she froze, her hand still gripping the bottle, trembling violently.“N-Nothing… I just—” She stammered, but it was clear she had no reasonable excuse.Without hesitation, I strode forward and snatched the bottle from her hand.“What the hell is

Jack’s point of view:While I was busy taking care of the affairs of the Blue Lagoon pack, I suddenly received a call from Olivia. I asked her to keep an eye on Aaron and Lucy for me. It seemed that something had happened.I took the phone and went to the nearest window. Outside, there was pure white snow, which blurred the landscape in the distance."Jack, I sent someone to follow Aaron in secret earlier this afternoon. We found out that he had gone to a restaurant near Lucy’s University to meet her. The two seemed to be talking about something.""Has your subordinate heard what they said?” I didn't expect Aaron to act so quickly.“Unfortunately not. My subordinate did not dare to approach them, let Aaron know it. So he stood outside and listened to their conversation as best he could," Olivia explained in a whisper."I see. Thank you Olivia. Please continue to monitor them for me."After that, I hung up. I hesitated for a moment before finally deciding to call Rose to inform her. Lu

Lucy’s point of view:I left the restaurant, I went back to my university with the aphrodisiac that Aaron had given me safely in my pocket. Despite my nervousness and hesitations, I still gave in and called Rose."What is it? Lucy?" Rose’s voice was sleepy. It seemed that she and Jack had had sex until very late, so she was still in bed."You're not up yet? There is a new cafe in front of our university. Would you like to go with me? Are you free?" I did my best to sound as natural as possible. However, I was able to catch Rose’s hesitation on the phone."I'm OK." Fortunately, she eventually accepted."So I'll wait for you, okay? Come quickly!" I hung up. The nervousness in me grew even more. After that, I went to the cafe outside the university in advance. I ordered Rose's favourite coffee, then added the aphrodisiac mixed with Aaron’s blood in a hurry. The heat of the steaming coffee rose in the air before slowly disappearing. I could see snow outside through the window while waitin

Aaron’s Point of ViewLeaving Bennet’s house, I tightly gripped the two vials of magical potions in my pocket. With these in my possession, my plan was finally in motion. As soon as I returned to the Wouri River Pack, I sent a message to Lucy, instructing her to meet me in secret. We arranged to meet at a discreet restaurant near her university. When she arrived, she was heavily disguised—a mask and a thick scarf concealed most of her face, ensuring she wouldn’t be recognized. As she pulled the mask down, I immediately noticed her swollen, red-rimmed eyes. She looked completely drained, her face blank and lifeless. It was clear she had spent the night crying.“You look terrible,” I remarked casually, pouring myself a glass of wine.“It’s nothing. I just didn’t sleep well,” she muttered, avoiding my gaze.I didn’t bother to press her further. Instead, I reached into my coat pocket, pulled out the vial of aphrodisiac, and dangled it in front of her before setting it on the table.“Find

Aaron’s Point of ViewThe truce had bought me time, but I had been waiting for the right moment to strike. Bennet had assured me he needed only a month to recover. That month had passed, and I expected him to be ready.I made my way to his house, but something was different this time—the door was open. I stepped inside, only to find him in a wretched state. He sat on the bed, frail and hollow-cheeked, looking as if he had been battling a severe illness.“How are you feeling?” I asked, my brows knitting together.Bennet barely lifted his head. He looked as though he was on his deathbed. This wasn’t what I needed. I needed strength, a capable ally—not someone who could barely hold himself together.“My old injury has worsened. I’m not in fighting condition,” he admitted, his voice weak and hoarse. His skeletal frame only emphasized his decline.I stepped further into the room, but the moment I did, a sharp, pungent smell hit my nose. The air reeked of bitter herbs and medicinal brews. I

Lucy’s point of view:The day before Jack’s birthday, Rose called him and invited him, as well as some of his friends from the Blue Lagoon Pack, to the hotel to celebrate his birthday.Rose was dressed in a sapphire blue silk dress and stood arm in arm with Jack. Her long straight hair was styled in waves and she wore light makeup today. Rose usually didn't like to be pumped, but right now, she was beautiful standing in the room. Jack stood next to her and talked to the other werewolves. He wore a pointed suit and caressed his well-defined jaw. He always looked calm, stable and distant. I knew that he only revealed his tender side to Rose.My fingers tightened Involuntarily around the glass of wine I was holding. Jack and Rose stood there, looking like the perfect couple, making me feel nervous.I was particularly careful by dressing for the birthday party.
