C H A P T E R - [ 4 ]

Its been two weeks since I met my mate who walked away on my face.The pain of rejection becomes more stronger and unbearable with passing moments but I have to come with the terms of living with it as he never showed up at the cafe where I saw him first,the owner of the Cafe, the old lady told me once that he is her regular customer and visits often but he didn't come in last fifteen days,which means only one thing-

He is avoiding to come across me.

Mia confined herself in self mourning since that moment.She had been nudging me to search for our mate but my high self esteem stopped me to go after him when he doesn't want us anywhere around him.

I even don't know a thing about him except his name and he is one of the richest man in the state,thats it.

I got my job at Elliot's Heritage Hotel one day after the interview so I took the opportunity immediately now for two reasons;my family needs the finacial aid and my wolf deserves a distraction from the pain and anger caused by him.

It was a usual day at work,I got my lunch break and decided to grab a simple sandwich and coffee rather than a proper meal as I have to prepare for the upcoming grand opening of another franchise of the hotel at Lackside area.

I have never visited that part of the area before I heard it is the residing terrotary of the most dangerous and powerful pack of werewolves and today I have gotten the chance to join the team of catering and decorations to do a final preparation as the inauguration ceremony is tomorrow.

"Clarissa Thank God I found you here or the Boss would have killed me,"Derek,my colleague and a good friend come running and stopped at the front of my table.

"Why Mr. Elliot wants to see me?"I arch my brow at him for an explanation as in these two weeks,I wasn't summoned by Jason Elliot but why today.

Dread creeps its way to my heart.I fear of being fired but somehow I maintain a straight face to hide my uneasiness from sharp eyes of Derek.

"I don't know Candy,he just dropped a message on my phone that he wanted me to send you in his cabin so I guess you should be heading there right now."He says glancing at his wrist watch.

I stuffed the last bite of my sandwich and hurriedly collected my stuffs from the table as I don't want to piss off my boss for reaching late at his urgently summon.

"Candy wait-"Derek stops me coming in front of me,his usual jolly expressions replaced by a serious look.

"Don't tell me that he calls me to hand me over my termination letter?"I narrow my eyes at him though it came out like a joke,I meant it.

"No Candy I don't think so he wants to loose a dedicated young talent like you.I want to talk about his friend,"He licks his lips nervously.

"What is wrong with his friend and how he supposed to effect me?"I ask with furrowed brows.

"You don't know Candy.He is not someone he looks like.He is a horrible person,try not to come across him.He doesn't think twice before destroying someone's life if they do a mistake in front of him.I saw him going inside the cabin of Mr. Elliot when I was passing by there."He says and the way concern flicker over his face,I don't feel right about this mysterious friend of Mr. Jason Elliot.

"Okay I'll keep in my mind Derek don't worry.I'll see you after work."I wave at him and quickly make my way to Mr. Elliot's private cabin.

As I step closer towards his office,the familiar smell of the scent,I have been trying to avoid becomes stronger.

"Our mate is here.I can feel his presence."Mia perks up her ears getting over excited but my heartbeats quickens  as soon as I hear her words.

He is here which means I have to face him no matter how badly I want to run far away from him if he doesn't want to accept me.

Stopping at the doorstep of his cabin to calm down my nerves before knocking on the wooden door.He is with Mr. Elliot on the other side of the door.I can feel his strong smell sending Mia on edge.

"Come lets face our mate.His wolf is already calling for me."Mia nudge me.

I knock softly on the door and the next second I heard Mr. Elliot's permission to enter inside,there my eyes landed on his handsome yet stoic face.

His eyes,a rare shade of grey and red dilated at my direction,his sharp jaw clenched as his gaze stuck on me.I can't help myself from drawing towards him,call it the mate bond or heavenly made match,each cell inside me screams to claim our mate right there.It seems wolf wants to break out of him by his body tensed up.

"Baby I think we should leave now,right Jason?"A female voice break our staring session.I look away to hide the blush on my cheeks

For the first time since I enter in the room,I realise that there are two more persons other than us in the same space and one of them is my boss.

She throws me a bored look and goes towards Trevor.My heart clench inside my rib cage seeing their intimacy as he let her sit on his thighs and the shameless bitch place her butts on his lap circling her arms around his neck.

How he allow another woman close to him when his mate is standing right in front of him?They aren't mates,she knows it,more importantly he knows it.

Anger and hurt stirred inside my heart.I feel my legs giving up there when suddenly he stand up while helping her to balance on her heels.

Bitch needs a babysitter.

"I'll see you later."Tervor nods at Mr. Elliot who is in some other world.

Without sparing a glance at me,he walk past me followed by his porcelain doll.

"Sir you called me."I look at Mr. Elliot washing all the emotions' trace from my face.I work here and it needs professionalism no matter how badly your mate bond is pulling you to your mate.

Mr. Elliot who was in some other world looks at me.

"Oh yes Violet actually I am personally inviting all my staffs for the grand opening of our new branch so you have to come to the party,it's no work party just enjoy yourself."He says with a huge smile.

"Thanks Sir I'll definitely come."I reciporacte the gesture.

"You can bring a date with yourself if you want."He added resulting me to cough by his unexpected words.

"Oh no Sir I don't have a date.I'll be on myself."I reply hesitantly.

"Its your wish then but the presence is mandatory.It is a very big day for me and my family."He says.

"I will definitely come Sir."
