CHAPTER 68: FIND KAIN

Lilith’s POV

They successfully manage to bind me with dusty old ropes and toss me in a wide basket that one of the bulky guys carries on his back like a darn backpack.

The only reason I’m going along with this people so easily is because I’m injured and there hasn’t been an opportunity to make a run for it, plus my feet is literally off the ground.

“Double the pace.” The leader of the bunch yells to the rest of the scruffy men dragging the crate and making a run for it.

Rebecca does whatever she wants to do, slowing down so she can walk right next to me and humming a tune to herself.

She seems pretty chill, assured that nothing will go wrong.

I adjust myself in the very uncomfortable position I’ve been tied in, like a 30 week old fetus.

“If you move too much, your wound will reopen.”

“Yeah, I figured that one myself.” I say dryly, finding her concern at this moment very annoying.
