CHAPTER 111: DEAL

Kain’s POV

I finally see through their plans the moment I’m surrounded by this insignificant twigs ready to lose their lives to keep me surrounded and the arrow pointed at me from afar just before it strikes.

There’s no room to block it so I contemplate taking it head on and dealing with the consequences later, until a small frail body jumps in from nowhere taking the shot in only a split second.

It takes half a second for realization to dawn on me, for her motionless body and the blood seeping out of the wound and pulling around her to finally hit.

To finally seem real.

Her eyes closed shut and her expression turning pale.

Suddenly it’s the day of the fire, when I thought I had lost her all over again and every bit of control in me dispels before I realize it,

I feel my wolf take over my body pushing my conscience mind aside, even with that our rage is united as one, burning fiercely like a searing flame.

The only thing above to quell it now is blood. The blood of my enemies.
