CHAPTER 108: BATTLEFIELD

LILITH’S POV

I camp the night out in the woods and leave the next morning at the first sign of sunlight.

My limbs ache from hours of running on all fore and hind limbs, getting to the battlefield.

I had already long shifted into my wolf along the lines of my journey with a few things of mine folded in the piece of clothing, wrapping round my neck.

The moment where fatigue and pain restricts my movement, I remind myself what’s at stake to recharge every bit of my strength again.

It’s only a few hours more of running, almost reaching the borders of Riverstone that the sounds of battle finally reaches my ears.

Wolves growling and howls in a group, the subtle ripping of flesh and spilling of blood. The metallic smell of blood only grows stronger as I approach.

I stop just in front of the clearing below a small hill, staring at the countless number of wolves splayed around, fighting for their lives and their Alpha’s life without the fear of bloodshed.

I see the warriors of my pack fighting
