CHARIA'S POV
Two weeks earlier._________________Our chef ran at full speed into the kitchen and I almost threw the knife I was holding at her. She stopped her chase when she saw me knock down on my knees in panic. "Are you okay?" She rushed over to me but I pushed her, slightly upset for scaring me. "I'm sorry" she quickly apologized before I could say a word."It's fine" I wasn't fond of getting angry and not even at Melissa. She was the only reason I was still surviving in this house, she was my safe space. Getting pissed with her would only be my problem, moreover, she always had a good reason for anything she did. "What happened?" I asked as I struggled to get on my feet."Your father wants to see you, instantly" There was more emphasis on the last word.Fear gripped me immediately. "What did you say?" Like I didn't hear her the first time. She looked terrified too, scared for me. This had never happened before."Is he still with the council?" I asked rubbing my sweaty palm on my dress. "Is he alone?""Everyone is still gathered," Melissa said to me sadly. My heart thuds a hundred times. Someone like me couldn't be in the same room as my father and his friends. I wasn't worthy. Even Melissa, our home chef was more worthy than I was. She was an omega and she still had the grace to serve my father and his friends on her feet. As for me, I wasn't even in the pack and I dared not look these people in the eye. I was a wolf born wild, but not free, the pack rejected me, and they turned away whenever I approached. I couldn't blame them less when the people who should love me gave me no protection. They were the cause of my doom."Am I in trouble?" My voice broke. Melissa's face showed that she had no idea why I was called either, which made it worse. I felt dizzy, unable to balance my stand."Hurry, before things get worse" Melissa pushed me out of the kitchen and I staggered towards the living room. I walked with a heavy heart, my head hung low. There was no way I could fit in or play their game. I was always different, always to blame. When I got to the door, I buried my face on the floor as I opened it. I walked in with shaky legs to the middle of the gathering unaware of how many faces staring back at me, their growls of warning, and snarls exposed."Here she is, Father," My sister said. She was in the pack too. I could not look her in the eye either. She was a Beta and it was my duty to show her all forms of respect she required from me."The room is suddenly filled with her low-class stench," One of my father's friends said."We apologize Mr. Gregory. She would be dismissed soon" My mother responded. How 'kind' of her. It wasn't her fault anyways, she was drunk in love with my father and would do anything he told her. When I came to her with my truth, she turned away and refused to fight. I thought I could count on her, on them, my parents, my 'guiding light'."Charia!"Even when my father was aging rapidly, he still had the voice of a ruthless commander, his voice sent dismay to my nerves as he pronounced my name. He was the Alpha of all Alphas, his pack ranked first in all of New York City and it was one of the largest populations. To qualify as a member of my father's pack, the Red Moon, the lowest anyone needed to be was an Omega with one supernatural ability like a heightened sense of hearing at least and the person might also need to prove themselves somehow when they're finally in, else my father would discard them in the trash as he did to me."Yes, Alpha Lugard!" I answered going on my knees and bowing down to my father."Rise and look around you," He said.I froze and buried my head deeper on the floor. "I will be damned to look at the faces of the Red Moon pack, please kill me if I ever do so," I said. I didn't learn to talk this way, the fear instilled in me was enough to request death from my father. He was unpredictable and any single mistake from me could cause my death.A light laugh roared in the room from the mouth of my father and his friends. They mumbled words amongst themselves, I could tell they were delighted to see that I held no place in my father's heart. Alpha Lugard had two daughters but I was kept in a cage, not to be seen by anyone. Nobody knew me, nor do they bother to ask where I was, the spotlight was on my sister, Delphi. She was my father's princess, his heartthrob. After some silent talk, My father's friends rose to their feet. "Let's save her life by leaving, a family discussion might be preferable""She's not my daughter" my father replied as they left the room. Of course, I wasn't. I had grown tired of hearing that statement from my father. What use do I have to deliver for the Wolfenstein family anyways? I was useless, ineffective, and weak."You can look up now," My mother said when the room emptied. It was just my family in the room, but I still felt obliged to bow. I stood to my feet.I raised my face and the look of hatred from my father pierced my skin. His constant threat of taking me away from this house is the only reason I was still staying. As much as they all disliked me, I wanted to live up to their expectations, I wanted to miraculously be that wolf they all respected, and I wanted a silver lining. I wanted to make my father proud, but if wishes were horses."The moon goddess has shown her mercy on you. You'll be the first Epsilon of the Red Moon Pack. If you want to prove your worthiness, this is your chance."The words my father uttered were like candy to my ears, but how can something so sweet be so bitter too?"An Epsilon?" My heart lifted with joy. I couldn't believe my ears."You don't want it?""No. I do" I replied instantly before my father changed his mind. An Epsilon was not part of the pack members, but at least they get assigned to duty and they worked with the pack. They were lone wolves who get ordered around by anyone in the pack. Due to their weak state, they had no stand of their own and were mere servants. They were the lowest rank in the wolf capital, lower than an Omega. Working for Red Moon as an Epsilon was a big step toward getting my family to like me. I was hardworking and certain that I could pull off any task they gave me."Oh. She's so desperate" Delphi commented. My eyes fixed on her for some seconds, her pretty face was to die for and she was one of the strongest Beta in the pack. She was my father's heir, he never had a son and she was his only hope. I understood that my younger sister hated me, if she ever went against my father, she could be dead too."Your first task-" I fixed my attention back on my father. "Your first mission Charia is to slay Alpha Ryder, the second"Like I was stung by a bee, my body itched in sudden pain. I wanted to let out a little laugh, but there was nothing funny about my father's words. He doesn't spill the wrong thing. I looked over to my mum, at least if father was aging, she could convince him to make the right decisions. My mother looked away, clear that she didn't want to get involved. Did the council gather around to choose my type of death?"Father, Alpha Ryder?" I asked again. He must have mixed the names up somehow."You heard me right," he said"But Father, that's impossible" It was crazy to give me a task like this. If all of the pack warriors gathered to kill Alpha Ryder, there would be a mass burial. Father wanted the death of me, he finally wanted to relieve me from the shackles of being chained in this house.Alpha Ryder's pack, Blue Moon Pack, was the second pack ranking as the strongest, most powerful, and most popular in the whole country. Red Moon's pack was the first, so yes I was the daughter of the greatest Wolfman alive, Alpha Lugard. It is indeed outrageous to hear that Alpha Lugard who has so much power, wanted to kill Alpha Ryder, a young man who gained all his reputation with the strength of his own hands. If there was a rift between the two leading packs, it was something they could settle or better still have a war. Why does father want his death and why am I used as a scapegoat?"What's impossible is you getting out of there alive" Delphi chuckled as she glared at me."Father, I am not worthy enough to slay Alpha Ryder, if you would give me another task-""I didn't give you a choice, Charia""But I would be dead Father. This is an impossible challenge""That would be great because I also want you dead""Is this a way to get rid of me?" I was extremely upset."Don't talk back at your Father!" My mother cut in. "You're such a useless child Charia, and now that you're given a chance to prove yourself, you still proved to be dumb!""Why can't Delphi do it, she's very strong isn't she?" I spoke back to my mum."Everyone knows Delphi. No one knows you or where you're from!""Does my life matter to any of you?" My voice broke and I swallowed hard. I thought my father's decision of making me an Epsilon was going to change my life, but I was wrong. The Wolfenstein family was just looking for a way to get rid of me completely."What do you need me to do?" I braced up confidently, more like signing my suicide note. I looked my father in the eyeball, I was full of pain and anger. I could tell this would be the death of me, but it was better to be dead than have hope that this family would ever love me or give me a chance."Firstly, you need to secrete all your pheromones"Out of all they had said to me, this had my knees trembling and my blood seizing.______________________________Appalling. It seemed I wasn't the only one surprised at the words my father uttered, My mother and Delphi both looked at my Father in shock too. It was obvious he made this decision on his own. Not like they were part of his decision-making, but at least they were always the first to hear it. "Lugard, What do you mean?" My mother, Vera Wolfenstein asked him. "You know she cannot do that, that's her virginity at risk" My mother truly seemed concerned about me. "She has to be ...sexually active to do that" she whispered as if the words would hurt me if I heard them."But her pheromones can just come from her sweat right?" Delphi asked. So I thought too."That's not enough to hold the Alpha down" Alpha Lugard roared."I can't let you do this Lugard," my mother stood against my father. "Charia would never secrete any more in her life again. You know she needs her pheromone to find her mate " I didn't understand why the mother was so bothered about my virgi
________________________________Time flew faster like it was waiting for my death too. I was about to accept my fate. Alpha Lugard continuously reminded me of my mission and gave specific orders. He was so interested in my downfall - my father, my 'pride'.Melissa was of great help the past few days. Spending my last days with her was a treasure to me, she made jokes with me and made sure I slept happily. She also taught me some biology lessons on releasing my pheromones. She brought in all of Alpha Ryder's pictures she printed from the internet one morning and threw them on my bed."What is this?" I asked her rising from my bed. I had cried myself to sleep the previous night, but she came to my room beaming with smiles. I was forced to let out a small laugh too.Melissa shut the door tightly and locked them with keys. She giggled when she jumped on my bed. "Do you like it?" She asked."Like what?" I picked up the printed photo from the bed and skimmed through each of them."He's so
As the music started, I watched the stripper in front of me closely. She was in the spotlight at the moment, so I was lucky to just watch her from behind without getting noticed. She stood on her feet hip-width apart, grasping the pole with both hands. I did the same as her. She then slowly brought her right foot forward and took a small step to the side. Then, she moved her left foot to the pole and spin around the pole, bringing her right leg outwards in a circular motion. I tried that too, but it was tougher than I thought it could be. I was used to dancing at home since that was the only thing I could do in my room, but this was nothing like that. Although, Father had me take some stripping dance lessons two weeks before the day of this job. I wasn't good, but I had an idea of what this was all about and I just followed the instructions carefully. She bent her knees a little and slide down the pole until she reached the bottom. That was the hardest for me and I guaranteed that I
_With all courage left in me and the decision to finally face death, I opened the door to Alpha Ryder's room. I walked in heads low, a few steps, and closed the door. I gathered all the strength I had to raise my head and looked at him this close. He stood there, our eyes meeting. His alluring beauty had no match or trace. He captivated me in his presence with grace. His charm and wit ensnare me in delight. He was truly how the rumors described. As I admired this beautiful soul, he charged at me with a sublime force, pinning me to the door and holding my neck rigorously. I was scared by his approach and when his claws pierced into my skin, I groaned in pain, but he suddenly soften his grip.I raised my head to look up at him. His red eyes sparked continuously, his face so smooth, his lips…his breath…he was so close to me I wasn't thinking anymore. His eyes fixed on me like I was some sort of mystery. He then touched my lips with his thumb. Not only did my whole body shake, but there
Disappointment is a bitter pill to swallow. A pain that cut deep leaving me hollow. High expectations, outcome low. My disappointment lingers in the house like a storm cloud. My father growls weakening my knees. He asked for an explanation, but I was too scared to speak. "Charia!" It was a warning tone."I'll speak" I immediately said. The thunder outside still clapped loudly and the rain increased, I couldn't afford to be thrown out of the house tonight. "I. I didn't. I did what you said father, I lured Alpha Ryder with my scent""And what happened next?""He..he came close to me and I..i..tried to use the dagger to…I couldn't father..my hands were trembling, I. I was scared.""He saw your face and registered your scent? Charia that's so bad" Delphi whimpered just to make my situation worse. She was never going to be on my side, she would do anything to get father to punish the living wolf out of me."I didn't tell him where I was from.." I tried to defend myself, facing my father
ALPHA RYDER'S POVI, Alpha Ryder, had never been one to lose control of my desires. I was the epitome of self-discipline and restraint, always keeping my passions in check. The rumors in the magazine had a lot to say about me but I knew myself better than anyone. I had pretty and sexy betas around me, who would kill to have me, but I only went for the ones that took my interest. Most of the time, only one beta always catches my eye somehow. But all that changed the day I met the wolfsbane dagger girl. It's been a week and I haven't been able to get over that night where I almost died at the hands of a lady with the wolfsbane dagger whom I knew nothing about and who tried to kill me and still saved me too because she was scared. I wasn't angry at her plans and all I wanted to know was her pack. What pack could behold such special beauty, a special smell that I didn't know about in the city? My mind hadn't taken a rest since that night. I see her in my dreams all the time, her beautiful
Alpha Ryder's POVEmily woke me up the next day with another deep kiss, and I turned her over, my naked body glued to her, I kissed her back, and our tongues were hot with morning passion. Sometimes I never get enough of her. "Hmm. Ryder" she moaned, wrapping her hands around me and bringing me closer for more. She separated her legs and wrapped them around my butt, releasing some of her pheromones too. I could scent her better now, I was with her throughout the night and she somehow managed to take off the mystery girl scent from my nose"One more round" she whispered in my ears and I moved away from her to lay back on the bed uninterested in a morning routine, she climbed on top of me this time around, her wet pussy sitting on my shaft, she moved up and down slowly trying to turn me on again. "I missed you Ryder" she moaned again, playing with my nipples.I held her hips, she was extremely tempting and all I wanted to do was rock her hard once more, but I carried her and dumped her
Alpha Ryder's POV___________________________The air was thick with the scent of werewolves at Alpha Lugard's house. I could see about four pack leaders as I walked into the living room. Other werewolves approached each other, flanked by their respective packs. The city leader, Alpha Lugard ranked first place has his seat high up, he was one with sleek black fur and I, the second city Alpha, with russet brown, approached each other with caution but also respect for each other's power. The other packs moved away from me recognizing my presence and Alpha Lugard came down from his seat with a shocking glare. As we drew closer, we began to circle each other, the packs watching silently from the sidelines. Despite the tension in the air, there was also a sense of camaraderie among us wolves, as they recognized the mutual respect and strength that existed between the two alphas. After a few moments, we came to a stop in front of each other, hands touching briefly in a gesture of greeting.
FINAL CHAPTERCHARIA'S POV.______________A few days ago when it happened right in my eyes, and I stood there, watching the outcome of the intense battle between Ryder and Ryker, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. Happiness washed over me as I realized that the wild wolf Ryker, who had caused so much chaos and confusion, was finally gone. The house was now filled with a sense of peace that had been absent for far too long. My heart swelled with joy at having my Ryder back by my side, where he belonged. But amidst the joy, there was a tinge of sorrow. Ryder had been forced to take his own brother's life, a burden that no one should have to bear. I approached him, my voice filled with so much condolence, "Ryder, I'm so sorry you had to do what you did. I know it was a difficult decision, but please know that I'm here for you, and we will navigate this together."He looked at me with a mixture of gratitude and pain in his eyes, and he squeezed my hand gently. "Thank you, Chari
Melissa's Pov________I felt so delighted everything was over and the imposter was finally buried in ashes a few days ago. But the one thing I did not feel relaxed with was Peter's attitude towards me and then when he invited me for a date to talk about it, I was relieved.Peter had been acting awkward since all this was over and I needed an explanation on why he was doing that to only me. He walked into the private place where our tables and food were placed and I stood in respect. He asked me to sit back and apologized for being late."I'm so glad you set this date up for us" I nervously smiled.Peter and I spent months of vacation together and in my entire existence have never felt or experienced something as sweet as that. It was the best moment of my life and I wouldn't trade Peter for anything."Yeah. I'm glad too" he responded. "I have something to say to you Melissa" his face wasn't friendly and he really looked bothered.I was scared, and my heart beat faster. I had no idea
______The room fell silent as Ryder and Ryker locked eyes, the tension between them noticeable. The air crackled with a mix of anger, resentment, and a deep-seated rivalry that had been festering for years. This was the moment where the brothers would engage in a battle of words, each determined to prove their superiority.Ryker, his voice laced with smug confidence, began, "Ryder, you've always been the obedient one, the one who followed the rules. But you see, being a wild wolf means embracing our instincts fully. Feasting on the flesh of other wolves, tasting their blood, it's in our nature. It's what sets us apart, makes us powerful."Ryder's eyes flashed with indignation. "Being a wild wolf doesn't mean losing our humanity, Ryker. We can control our urges and live harmoniously with our wolf nature. If you want to fully embrace the wild, then shed your human form and go live in the forest."Ryker scoffed, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, and you think you're better because yo
_______Late at night, Ryder changed his mind. After thoroughly thinking about things, he decided not to stay one more hour at Emily's place and so he called for Melissa and asked that they leave.Ryder and Melissa carefully made their way out of Emily's house, staying in the shadows and avoiding any attention. They knew they had to be cautious to ensure a successful escape. As they reached the back gate, Melissa glanced around to make sure no one was watching. Satisfied with the coast being clear, she motioned for Ryder to follow her. They hurriedly made their way through the dark alleys, their hearts pounding with a mixture of fear and determination. Ryder's mind was filled with a whirlwind of emotions as he thought about Charia and the possibility of her being with his twin brother, Ryker. He couldn't shake off the feeling of betrayal, yet a twinkle of hope remained within him that everything Emily had said was a lie.Melissa led them to a secluded spot where Emily's car was parked
Ryker's Pov____ ___My mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Charia and the disheartening news I had just received. As I paced restlessly in the room, contemplating my next move, the door swung open, and a maid entered to serve me food.I didn't need any of that. I didn't need any of the things Emily was offering me, I just wanted to know the truth and how the situation was. I dismissed the maid with a wave of my hand, but as she turned to leave, she called out my name, and I heard her say. "Alpha Ryder"Something about her voice struck a chord of familiarity within me and recognition dawned upon me—it was Melissa.Quickly, I turned over to her and she removed the veil she used on her face. "What are you doing here?" I had to ask.She hurriedly locked the door, ensuring our privacy. "What going on?""Ssshh!" She said putting her fingers on her lips. "I'm sorry" she quickly apologized for the attitude. "We need to talk quietly so Emily would not hear us," she said."Where Charia, wh
___________________Ryder's eyes fluttered open, his head throbbing with residual pain from the accident. As his senses slowly returned, he took in his surroundings, realizing he was in an unfamiliar room. Confusion washed over him, and his thoughts immediately turned to Charia. Where was she? He hadn't seen her since he was rushed to the hospital.Just then, the door swung open, and Emily entered the room, a wide smile on her face that didn't reach her eyes. Ryder's gaze locked onto her, desperation was evident in his voice. "Ryder! Oh, my dear Ryder, you're finally awake! I've missed you so much."Ryder said with a strained voice "Where... Where am I? This doesn't look like home. Emily?""Emily... What's going on? Why am I here? Where's Charia? I need to see her.""Ryder, you just woke up, take your mind off something like that""No. I need answers. Where's Charia?"Emily hesitated for a moment, her eyes darting away briefly before meeting his gaze again. She took a deep breath, he
Charia's Pov_____The door to the room was knocked on severally and I struggled to open the door very early in the morning. I was surprised to see Delphi standing in front of me."Some of the elders are here to see Ryder…Ryker. I haven't been announced officially, so you'll need to be beside him for the meeting." She tried to walk out. I dragged her back."Delphi. You know the truth and you chose to stay with him?""Stay out of it""Delphi, you know my kind heart towards you. If you wanted something you know I would strive hard to get it for you.""I already have it. You destroyed my family and I will destroy yours"I didn't need to argue with her anymore. Delphi already made up her mind about me and her decisions. I walked over to the meeting room where Ryder always held meeting with the elders, I met Ryker sitting on Ryder's spot already and it pricked me like a needle. One of the elders started the meeting with a wolf chant and then stated the cause of the gathering. The meeting
Melissa's Pov______After a terrible round of sex with the head guard, he let me sleep and rest in his room as he went to his duty. Yesterday I wasn't able to hang around because he didn't want Emily to see me and ask where I was from and so I stayed an extra night. After I had taken a shower and gotten an hour's rest. I stood up in the middle of the night and walked toward the room I saw Alpha Ryder in earlier. Luckily for me, he was alone. I was careful to confirm his privacy before I stepped in. But I could hear the sound of showers in the bathroom and I assumed Emily was in there. I walked towards him and tapped his skin trying to wake him up. I whispered his name, but he wouldn't hear. I tapped harder looking around so I wouldn't be caught. He turned in his sleep and his eyes flashed a bit. "Yes, yes, wake up" whispered. The shower suddenly went off and I ran out of the room very carefully, leaving the door opened a bit.I cautiously peered through the crack in the door, my hea
______Ryker and Delphi sat outside the mansion, the moon hung high in the night sky, casting a glow over the surroundings. While they spoke and the moon shone further on his skin, Ryker, no longer able to restrain his primal instincts, felt an uncontrollable rise of power through his veins. The moon's influence had taken hold of him once more, and this time, he wanted blood and flesh.Delphi stood beside him, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and disbelief. She had suspected the truth, but witnessing the transformation firsthand was a shock beyond cognition. She watched as he turned into a wild wolf, his growl harsh and scary. There was only one person she had seen this way and it was Dwight. She was overwhelmed at this sight and began to think of what was said to her by Charia yesterday. As Ryker fought to maintain control, he could see the fear etched on her face."Alpha Ryder, what is going on?" She moved away from him."Delphi," he growled, his voice strained with the struggle ag
