The drive went fast per the mysterious man's words. He never met a crazy man in life and he wished never to encounter the same character again.
.
Rain was impatient and nervous as they approached the building where the Rosea fashion show was being held. Being his second chance, he needed to check himself, his words, and his behavior, or else he would be done for
Learning that his mate was not just anybody but the famous model and businesswoman, he prepped for the words and ways to woo her. After all, her life has been spent around humans and maybe she wasn't familiar with the Werewolf way of spotting your mate, kissing their breath away, and sharing carnal pleasures or even relying on the bond to take things further.
When the driver announced that they were there, Rain snapped out of his daze and looked at the surroundings of the tall building which was occupied by countless reporters. There were lots of fancy cars on the side but he spotted one car that made his heart thump against his chest.
Right, he spotted the limousine that picked Ketra up from the airport, and the initials VK were a shred of evidence that it belonged to her. Rain took in full breaths preparing himself to enter the hall and he also hoped that his wolf won't push him to jump on her and claim her in the crowd. If that happens, she could never consider him, or worse reject him right away.
Rain's legs had never trembled till now that he was making his way inside the hall. Initially, the guards had restricted him since he didn't have an invitation to the show but he bribed them with a handsome amount which made them leave with permanent smiles.
After comforting himself at the seat where he could watch flawlessly, he used his nose, as his wolf reminded but he only inhaled mixed human perfumes that made him nauseous. But nauseous or not, he still had to search for that scent that completed his life. To his disappointment, he kept on smelling perfumes while peeking at every corner for a chance to spot her. He wasn't aquatinted with fashion and he didn't understand how things worked.
He just watched as slender ladies swayed majestically through the columns and other people were taking pictures. He wondered if Ketra's turn was already done and hoped she was still backstage. A moment of silence came in as reporters turned their cameras towards the backstage exit as a tall slender figure appeared in black with lights turned down to dim.
Rain's nostrils flared as he caught a merry sweet scent of Vanilla-mint and he could feel his wolf wagging its tail happily. What a blessing!
He could feel the attraction and an invisible pull that urged him to follow the addictive scent and devour its owner till they both plead for a short breath. He sat, straightening his back to get a full view of the woman who was yet to accept him in her life.
She was crossing her legs carefully while she walked under the dimmed light that followed her on the stage. With his werewolf sharp sight, he could see her outfit thoroughly even when humans could only see the outline of the dress and guess the color. Her curves were perfectly sketched and her every step moved her glorious hips to the side at a reasonable range.
Rain's insides churned with a low almost inaudible growl that ripped from his chest. He had turned to look around and he saw everyone looking at his mate with interest. This was bad! At all chances, he didn't wish to destroy his mate's career and ruin her reputation by possessively carrying her away from that stage to a place where only him could look at her.
Ketra made her majestic catwalk moves as she has always done. Her sight and focus were on space while she kept her eyes unblinking. She was the model who wore the best outfit that the designer had to offer for the day and she did her best to ignore the force that urged her to turn and find out where it was coming from.
It was the same force she felt during the flight this morning and she didn't know if there was a one percent possibility of her mate being around Rosea.
Gulping her nervousness and curiosity, Ketra made it to the stage where everyone could watch her clearly at their seats. As a model, she didn't need to smile as it would distract her, instead, she waited for full lights and started posing for pictures when they came on.
She wore an ankle length silk gown they hugged her curves flawlessly. The back part was left uncovered which showed her flawless glowing skin with a few diamond stones on the collar area. Just perfect if only men weren't looking at her greedily which made Rain ball his hands into fists to suppress different emotions overpowering his being with jealous being the top of them.
Ketra looked in several directions to give reporters different angles for taking her pictures. As he turned to her left, she didn't want to believe that her eyes finally found the force that called for her to jump off stage and get trapped there forever.
When her hazel eyes met his sharp dark ones, she felt her legs weakening. Should she call this a coincidence or her mate was bound on making her accept him that he followed her upto here? No, she didn't see any mysterious car throughout the way when she left the airport. She had wished to have a glimpse of his features again but that didn't happen because he didn't follow behind her.
Now, what answers how he got to this place? Was he one of the powerful CEO werewolves that resided in Chicago with humans? But she had met almost all of the rich werewolves and he wasn't among the one's she knew.
Ketra took steps back as Brice strolled toward her, her palms sweating continously His eyes were visibly dark and mischievous. She was quivering in anxiety as he chuckled walking toward her.Did he imply that he would kill her mate and then... did he want to kill her and kill himself too. Her heart was in complete fear, and her breath hitched as she met his hazardous eyes."Queen, don't run away from me." He said amidst his crazy chuckles. "Stand there and wait for me." She felt shivers run down her back. Her back eventually hit the wall, leaving no space for her to run to. Her lips trembled. She could see that he wasn't himself. His claws came out and in a blink of an eye, he was on his fours. What she saw as a clean wolf in a devil's body stood before her. He growled loudly causing her to cover her ears with her palms as she screamed. She was in fear. She couldn't die this way. She couldn't die knowing that Rain was out there waiting. With her screams getting loud, she checked aro
Ketra's eyelashes flattered, adjusting to the light of the room she was in. It was dimly lit but with her werewolf sight, she could see clearly. Her head throbbed painfully causing her to close her eyes again. She raised her hand and caught her forehead in her hands, carefully massaging her temples to ease the pain. Suddenly, a wave of memories flushed through her. She is supposed to be sleeping around Rain because he was coming. She checked the side of her bed but he wasn't there and for some reason, it didn't feel like she was in her bed. She quickly sat up ignoring the unbearable pain in her head and checked around. The scent of this room wasn't familiar to her nose. She panicked as clear memories rushed to her mind. The last thing she remembered was her being in the kitchen. She didn't even meet up with Rain after he called. From that moment, her memory was blank. Panic surged through her as she surged to run out of bed and find Rain."Rain." She half screamed as she went to the d
"Stop." A voice emerged bringing everyone to freeze in their positions.Rain tilted his head and his eyes met the last guy he wanted to catch a glimpse of. Alpha George was strolling down the cruise with two young women, each on his side. There was a cocktail glass in his hands and he had on this mocking smile that made Rain's wolf stir. He ascended unhurriedly and once he was down, everyone put their swords back and bowed respectfully apart from the guy whom he had comprehended was the mafia leader earlier."You're quite fast. Looks like I underestimated you." George scoffed, walking close to Rain.Rain immediately rushed to him, unable to contain his anger, and whacked him so hard in his jaw, causing him to stagger until he fell into the guard's arms when he was about to hit the ground. The men clothed in black cloaks pulled out their swords and some guns, in preparations to raid Rain. They began throwing swords at him while he struck back with his hands. He moved fast like a crazy
Samuel reminded Rain continuously to be careful and try to keep his cool once they got to where George was. They had got to a little close place to Resolution Island, they couldn't go further with the jet since they didn't want to hint the enemy about their presence. They were about to shift and run to their next destination. "Can you feel her emotions?" Samuel asked. Rain shook his head. He couldn't feel her emotions, and neither could he smell her. It felt empty within. "I'm sure she is alright. Let's get going now." Without wasting any other single second, they shifted and began leaping and running. Their paws barely touched the ground, and they strived not to growl as they ran fast. Rain ran faster. He was so angry and scared. He hardly felt his emotions. They got to an Island. It was cozy and cool. There were orange rays which turned out to be from the fire. The place was loud and lively which angered Rain and Samuel. George had taken Ketra away and she was somewhere pray
"Alpha." Beta Samuel panted as he approached Rain. "Torture her until she can't recognize herself anymore." Rain immediately pushed Grace away from him. He had him in handcuffs after he didn't even want to feel her skin on his hands. Beta Samuel also threw her at the warriors who had to take her back to the pack dungeon and torture her until she spoke everything she knew. "It's been twenty-six fucking hours Sam, I can't smell her, can't feel her emotions. I'm in pain." Rain showed his helpless side to everyone for the first time in his life. He didn't care if the soldiers considered him weak or not. Beta Samuel understood. He was also angry that the same people kept on playing with their Luna. He vowed to spill their blood with his own hands. He dismissed the warriors out of the room where he found Rain before pulling out the map. "These are the areas that you asked for. I marked the possible locations they might be in. Take a look too." He handed the chart to Rain and they looke
George cringed at the sight of Brice. He never liked this boy because he always got him begging."This time you have done a good job. Indeed, you will be rewarded." Brice tossed a small wooden bottle to George and commanded him to leave immediately.George suppressed a groan of excitement as he left the plane that was about to take off. He had his power back now. The tiny bottle in his hand held everything that earth could give and he was going for it. He took a glance at Ketra who was unconscious on the bed in the private plane and smirked before eventually leaving. She and her mate had played him. They brought every crazy game on him when he was inside here.He gritted his teeth when he thought about Kathy's rejection. He was still in pain because of it. It wasn't like he liked or needed her but she humiliated him. 'You're next, you bitch.' He vowed as he exited the area they were in.The plane was on top of a villa in the isolated estates of the city. Luckily, Brice had connectio
