Alpha Rain decided to step out and meet the guests after making it an excuse to escape Grace's seduction. Who knows what he might do when her behavior goes on and how is he supposed to wash it off after it's done?
"Alpha Rain." Everyone greeted him in unison when he emerged from his study. There was a lounge across his door and that's where everyone was.
The guests seemed to be pleased with the hospitality so far, all thanks to Beta Samuel. Alpha Rain wore his ever-serious expression to meet the eyes of the seductive women in front of him. For now, he was confident that his mate wasn't among them because he couldn't pick up any addictive scent yet.
He could see how every woman gave a different expression as they looked at him and he gritted his teeth at their reactions. This was his umpteenth failure to find his mate and he was already frustrated. Nevertheless, he couldn't show the guests an image of how he wanted to send them flying out of his pack.
"Welcome to the Blue Moon pack and I hope you have a nice stay. You can stay as long as you want and if you find anything unpleasant, please talk to me or my Beta to make sure you are comfortable." Alpha Rain greeted with a not-so-warm voice.
He was already sitting on the couch across from the guests and he could feel his wolf urging him to walk away- just walk away!
He ignored the stubborn wolf on the back of his head and heard everyone's blubbering as they told him their qualifications to become his Luna. He smirked inwardly at everyone's words because they were the same words he heard from all the previous guests.
On a few occasions, some Alphas set him on blind dates with their daughters and he always had the same lines... Alpha bloodline, good education, and Capability to lead the pack, but that's not what they were actually.
He could see their dark intentions to pull him down with his pack and seduce him in order to find flaws in his name. But whom were they kidding? He didn't only become an Alpha of such a big pack only because of the Alpha blood running in his veins.
He spent his childhood training physically and mentally and he knew how to deal with different circumstances at any time.
"Beta Samuel will instruct a few ladies to escort you to your rooms as you need to rest after a long journey. We shall meet later during dinner as I have a few tasks to accomplish before that time. See you then." Alpha Rain said as he already stood up to leave the lounge.
It was funny to him how those words were so familiar on his tongue. He used the same words every time he dealt with such situations and it didn't seem wrong at all.
At first, he always became disappointed after not finding his mate but as it went on, he accepted it and found ways to deal with it without hurting anyone's feelings. All the things that transpired could be taken out.
You could make him greet his guests and watch everything at arms length.
.....
Two days had passed ever since the guests from Amber Moon Pack arrived at the Blue Moon pack. Alpha Rain made sure to avoid them without making it obvious, giving reasons for how they had security emergencies that needed to be settled as soon as possible.
He especially avoided Grace who was bound to follow him everywhere which he disagreed with by defining how dangerous it was. Grace was a beautiful blonde with waist-length hair and hazel eyes. Her features were defined perfectly as far as eyes could see and she had long white legs with a just-fine butt size.
Alpha Rain looked at her and she was comparable to those he had bedded before and there wasn't an obstacle between them just that he was tired of that shit. He was facing the problem of forgetting the women he bedded before and he was afraid that anyone could use it against him anytime.
"Alpha Rain," Grace called behind him. She had followed him to the training grounds saying that she wanted to train as well and become able to protect herself in case she was in trouble.
"Yes, miss." Rain answered coldly without turning to look at her.
"You've got a number of warriors here and I can see that you put their training first. Do you think my brother can visit your pack and learn from you? This way, you won't only teach him how to train his warriors but you can also build a strong connection between our two packs." Grace tried to strike her chances.
"As an Alpha of the Amber Moon Pack, your brother must have ways to train his warriors and prepare them for possible attacks or even wars and as an Alpha of the Blue Moon pack, I don't poke my nose in other pack's businesses." Alpha Rain said, trying to sound as polite as possible. His wolf was on the edge of snapping Grace away but he urged the stubborn guy to leave this to him.
Grace's mouth formed an 'o' reaction and she didn't say anything anymore. No matter how much she fought for chances to become this man's Luna, nothing was getting to him. She even faked a stomachache during breakfast this morning to get to him but he handed her over to the omegas.
Everyone on the training ground was focusing on improving themselves and Alpha didn't say much as he left the talking to his beta.
He was thinking about how the guests in his pack had stayed more than necessary since everyone already knew that his mate wasn't among them. Still, he made sure that everyone had a nice stay despite his irritation from bumping into women who tried to seduce him everywhere.
'Guests from the Steel Howlers Pack should be here by tomorrow but since we still have guests from Amber Moon Pack around, we have to postpone their arrival.' Beta Samuel spoke to Rain through the mind link and he observed as his eyebrows came together into a frown.
The truth is that Alpha Rain almost forgot about his pending appointments.
'No need to postpone it. I will visit their pack on my own.' Rain surprised his beta with his words.
'But...what are we supposed to tell the guests here when you are away? They might take it as you avoiding them and the connections between our packs won't be good.' Samuel sounded confused and puzzled at the same time. It would be easy to deal with if he just postponed the arrival of the other group till this one left but still, he understood that he needed to find his mate as soon as possible.
' Schedule my flight for tomorrow morning and find convincing reasons for them that won't stir any trouble or bring misunderstandings.'
The following day early morning, Rain was set to leave for Chicago. The Steel Howlers pack was in Chicago and this was his second last pack to visit. He only had two chances left to find his mate and if she wasn't in the Steel Howlers pack, he had to go to Silver Moon Pack immediately. Beta Samuel decided to not tell anyone about their Alpha's absence till confirmed that he was already in Chicago. He could fake an emergency later and tell everyone how Alpha Rain couldn't find a chance to talk to them before he left. A black Porsche truck was already a few steps away from the entrance of the pack house and Alpha casually walked out with a few omegas who took his suitcases. He was nervous and he couldn't figure out any reason for this sudden feeling. It wasn't like him to feel nervous on such occasions when he had to look for his mate. It was something he got used to with time but today, he was extremely nervous. He turned back to look at Beta Samuel who gave him an assuring nod. He
She was torn between acknowledging the bond or rejecting it when she still had time but her wolf disapproved as she reminded her how much pain they could go through to the extent of losing her wolf if she decided hastily. She wasn't stupid to overlook how mates suffered after rejecting each other and neither did she remove hands-on how mates were committed to each other which rendered much to leave behind what they cherished to go after the bond. I'm her right senses, she could never look at a man twice but right now, she felt an enchantment. There was an urge to run and fall into that alluring man's chiseled chest, as she pictured it. Her eyes locked on his inviting full pink lips unbeknownst to her. The pull was intense and she didn't figure out when she stood on her feet. The iPad which was resting on her thighs earlier was now on the ground but she didn't notice either as her legs began moving on their own. She wanted to halt and get back to her seat but her wolf interjected and
It was an eight hours flight to Chicago and throughout the entire flight, Rain peeked at Ketra intently taking in every inch of her beauty. Ketra made herself busy on her iPad that she picked up from the ground where it had fallen and even though she advised herself to concentrate countless times, she still couldn't. She was continuously stealing glances at Rain who shot her a captivating smile whenever their eyes met. Initially, Rain had thought of exchanging seats with the man on Ketra's side but his wolf surmised how mate wasn't too amiable for now. Even Carter his wolf was yearning to meet Ketra's wolf but he slowed down and swallowed his hype. Mate was still in their reachable sight and they would convince her after landing. She didn't reject the bond immediately and that gave him sufficient time to convince her. When they landed, Alpha Rain hurried but he was careful because they were in the human city and unnecessary speed would make everyone turn attention to them. He appro
The limousine parked in front of a tall exquisite building and Ketra made her way inside hurriedly. "You're finally here. It took you so long to get back and we shall be late now. If you allowed me to come with you, you could get off the plane with your makeup done." Scott nagged but Ketra just rolled her eyes and bypassed him to sit adjacent to the mirror in the dressing room. Scott was Ketra's agent who got assigned to her six years ago when she joined Samsara modeling agency. Despite working together for six years, they never agreed on a particular thing. Nevertheless, they were still on brother-sister terms. Scott was supportive here and there and he was always willing to path through thick and thin for Ketra Venture. Other ladies were being attended to by make-up artists and fashion designers. Some were bickering and some were singing at top of their lungs excitedly. This was one thing Ketra loved about humans, carefree, happy, and lively. They were unlike werewolves who were a
The drive went fast per the mysterious man's words. He never met a crazy man in life and he wished never to encounter the same character again. . Rain was impatient and nervous as they approached the building where the Rosea fashion show was being held. Being his second chance, he needed to check himself, his words, and his behavior, or else he would be done for Learning that his mate was not just anybody but the famous model and businesswoman, he prepped for the words and ways to woo her. After all, her life has been spent around humans and maybe she wasn't familiar with the Werewolf way of spotting your mate, kissing their breath away, and sharing carnal pleasures or even relying on the bond to take things further. When the driver announced that they were there, Rain snapped out of his daze and looked at the surroundings of the tall building which was occupied by countless reporters. There were lots of fancy cars on the side but he spotted one car that made his heart thump again
Ketra's heart thumped against her chest as she attempted to locate another thing to snatch her attention. The allure was overwhelming and she wondered if she could get off stage without tripping. 'Calm down, please. Let's get done here. I have built this career for years and can't disappoint the people who believe in me.' Ketra urged her wolf hoping for an effective reaction. Initially, she was affected by his absence and now with him breathing the same air as she was, she was extremely affected and she was on the brink of losing concentration which wasn't a good thing for her career. Prime of all scents, Alpha Rain could gasp her vanilla-mint scent which overshadowed others. He decided to suppress his desire to cover her body from the sight of others and focus on her beauty and professionalism. The designer must have had good taste to choose her as to close the show, Rain complemented in his mind, glancing at the fairy under the half-lit hall. After countless pictures, the design
With the sparks that gave her butterflies in her stomach, Ketra didn't understand herself anymore. She glanced at her hand that was pecked by Rain which was the cause of the electricity that radiated in her body. When she stepped out, she wore her ever-serious expression. Her fans who had a chance to approach backstage were already waiting and new faces as well.In her years of being a model, she had brought new faces to recognition the same way she was brought up to where she was now. A picture with a top-notch model was the biggest chance for unrecognizable models to get known in Chicago and everywhere else. Ketra had no problem with that. She always created time for them and even checked out their skills in her free time. She also introduced capable ones to designers who needed models and that was her little happiness. But today was another topic. Her focus was not on them but rather on the locked door where she emerged from earlier. Her heart and her other half were inside that ro
Ketra sat quietly with Rain beside her in the back seat. Their silence was to keep their relationship away from anybody and since there was a driver in the front seat, they were extra cautious. The only sound in the car was their thumping heartbeats and their fast breath from the warmth that was created by their slightly brushing hands. It felt too good to be won over by Ketra's friction which was an exchange for her independence and freedom. She was afraid that she was going to ridicule herself when the bond took over her senses because she felt the magnetic feeling that pulled her closer to Rain's proximity.Ketra closed her eyes and balled her other fist to fight the internal force which threatened to take over. She felt the urge to intertwine their fingers while burying her head in his firm chest. She was in the blink of putting her nose right on the nook of his neck to sniff his faint scent if at all it could be sniffed.Still, she couldn't let her stubbornness and willfulness cr
Ketra took steps back as Brice strolled toward her, her palms sweating continously His eyes were visibly dark and mischievous. She was quivering in anxiety as he chuckled walking toward her.Did he imply that he would kill her mate and then... did he want to kill her and kill himself too. Her heart was in complete fear, and her breath hitched as she met his hazardous eyes."Queen, don't run away from me." He said amidst his crazy chuckles. "Stand there and wait for me." She felt shivers run down her back. Her back eventually hit the wall, leaving no space for her to run to. Her lips trembled. She could see that he wasn't himself. His claws came out and in a blink of an eye, he was on his fours. What she saw as a clean wolf in a devil's body stood before her. He growled loudly causing her to cover her ears with her palms as she screamed. She was in fear. She couldn't die this way. She couldn't die knowing that Rain was out there waiting. With her screams getting loud, she checked aro
Ketra's eyelashes flattered, adjusting to the light of the room she was in. It was dimly lit but with her werewolf sight, she could see clearly. Her head throbbed painfully causing her to close her eyes again. She raised her hand and caught her forehead in her hands, carefully massaging her temples to ease the pain. Suddenly, a wave of memories flushed through her. She is supposed to be sleeping around Rain because he was coming. She checked the side of her bed but he wasn't there and for some reason, it didn't feel like she was in her bed. She quickly sat up ignoring the unbearable pain in her head and checked around. The scent of this room wasn't familiar to her nose. She panicked as clear memories rushed to her mind. The last thing she remembered was her being in the kitchen. She didn't even meet up with Rain after he called. From that moment, her memory was blank. Panic surged through her as she surged to run out of bed and find Rain."Rain." She half screamed as she went to the d
"Stop." A voice emerged bringing everyone to freeze in their positions.Rain tilted his head and his eyes met the last guy he wanted to catch a glimpse of. Alpha George was strolling down the cruise with two young women, each on his side. There was a cocktail glass in his hands and he had on this mocking smile that made Rain's wolf stir. He ascended unhurriedly and once he was down, everyone put their swords back and bowed respectfully apart from the guy whom he had comprehended was the mafia leader earlier."You're quite fast. Looks like I underestimated you." George scoffed, walking close to Rain.Rain immediately rushed to him, unable to contain his anger, and whacked him so hard in his jaw, causing him to stagger until he fell into the guard's arms when he was about to hit the ground. The men clothed in black cloaks pulled out their swords and some guns, in preparations to raid Rain. They began throwing swords at him while he struck back with his hands. He moved fast like a crazy
Samuel reminded Rain continuously to be careful and try to keep his cool once they got to where George was. They had got to a little close place to Resolution Island, they couldn't go further with the jet since they didn't want to hint the enemy about their presence. They were about to shift and run to their next destination. "Can you feel her emotions?" Samuel asked. Rain shook his head. He couldn't feel her emotions, and neither could he smell her. It felt empty within. "I'm sure she is alright. Let's get going now." Without wasting any other single second, they shifted and began leaping and running. Their paws barely touched the ground, and they strived not to growl as they ran fast. Rain ran faster. He was so angry and scared. He hardly felt his emotions. They got to an Island. It was cozy and cool. There were orange rays which turned out to be from the fire. The place was loud and lively which angered Rain and Samuel. George had taken Ketra away and she was somewhere pray
"Alpha." Beta Samuel panted as he approached Rain. "Torture her until she can't recognize herself anymore." Rain immediately pushed Grace away from him. He had him in handcuffs after he didn't even want to feel her skin on his hands. Beta Samuel also threw her at the warriors who had to take her back to the pack dungeon and torture her until she spoke everything she knew. "It's been twenty-six fucking hours Sam, I can't smell her, can't feel her emotions. I'm in pain." Rain showed his helpless side to everyone for the first time in his life. He didn't care if the soldiers considered him weak or not. Beta Samuel understood. He was also angry that the same people kept on playing with their Luna. He vowed to spill their blood with his own hands. He dismissed the warriors out of the room where he found Rain before pulling out the map. "These are the areas that you asked for. I marked the possible locations they might be in. Take a look too." He handed the chart to Rain and they looke
George cringed at the sight of Brice. He never liked this boy because he always got him begging."This time you have done a good job. Indeed, you will be rewarded." Brice tossed a small wooden bottle to George and commanded him to leave immediately.George suppressed a groan of excitement as he left the plane that was about to take off. He had his power back now. The tiny bottle in his hand held everything that earth could give and he was going for it. He took a glance at Ketra who was unconscious on the bed in the private plane and smirked before eventually leaving. She and her mate had played him. They brought every crazy game on him when he was inside here.He gritted his teeth when he thought about Kathy's rejection. He was still in pain because of it. It wasn't like he liked or needed her but she humiliated him. 'You're next, you bitch.' He vowed as he exited the area they were in.The plane was on top of a villa in the isolated estates of the city. Luckily, Brice had connectio
Grace heard a hard slap land on her cheek causing her vision to blur. She held it and could feel the pain reach her brain. This man was cruel. He was violent and would pay for it all once she became his Luna and got head over heels in love with her."I don't take cheap women for a Luna. Be assured that if I find even a scratch on my Luna, I will kill all of you." He grabbed her fabric from the back and then began pulling her towards the balcony door.He took her to the balcony and the night wind hit her face. She screamed and held the rail as the pain went through her. The guards who had her screaming came rushing and surrounded them."Freeze." They told Rain who just grabbed Grace more. If he allowed his wolf to take over, he would kill them all but thankfully he had some self-control within."This is our issue as partners, stay away," Grace yelled at the guards and they all retreated. She smiled only at declaring herself as his partner.Rain whose mind was already messed up, growle
Rain arrived at the North corner hotel. The entrance was strictly guarded and there seemed to be a party going on inside as he saw people show their invitation cards. He scanned the situation and a thought ran through his mind. He walked over to one of the guards and inquired about what was going on inside the hotel."There is a birthday party going on inside there. The details are confidential." The guard told Rain coldly. The party was for the rich and the guard knew all the rich people that normally came in. This young man in front of him looked like trouble and nothing else. He took a step back and went on to honor the important guests.Rain tugged his hair frustratedly. This was also another waste of time. However, he needed to deal with the person who sent the messages earlier. This person certainly knew where they had taken Ketra and if not, he would still kill him for playing tricks on him. Keeping his head away from his body wouldn't be bad at all.He could see couples enteri
Rain was losing it all. His body was shaking and his breath seemed to have paused as he followed her scent inside the woods. His wolf wanted to take over but he feared that it would rip anyone and leave them bleeding, less dead and that was inappropriate. After all, this was a place for weak humans. He ran faster, following her strong scent but as he got further in front, her scent disappeared completely. He cursed and stood for a moment confused about which direction he had to take. This bastard, he would kill him as soon as he landed on him. He was worried and his blood was boiling. He was late. George loathed or even envied Ketra and he would do the worst things to her. He felt his wolf forcefully try to take over these thoughts but he somehow managed to suppress him.'Let me go. I can find any scent and bring back our mate. I can't let them hurt her.' His wolf urged Rain but he ignored him and began following a weird scent that he had just discovered. He would have continued with
