ADAIRA~“I was born for this purpose alone. I must be your guide to the nether realm no matter the cost. It doesn’t matter if my life is the prize, because if I don’t do this, we will all die anyway, it would only take more time so what’s the difference?” Theia asked.“There has to be another way to do this without putting you in danger or sacrificing your life. If you were mine, I would have done the same as your parents did to protect you, and even more. I understand their fear of losing you.” I said to her.“If there was another way to do it, I wouldn’t have been born a seer. You need a tether to this realm when your non physical form leaves to the nether realm. You’re not actually going there in the present, you just need to leave this realm in order to break the spell you cast to keep your memories away.”“The spell I cast? I don’t have magic, at least not in the way that your kind wields it.” I said ti her.“You do, you just don’t remember it. You were touched by the moon, the

ADAIRA~I held one of Gavrael’s hands, and Theia held the other one. The girl was blind, yet she moved around like she could still see somehow. It was bizarre, but she was a seer so I guess I shouldn’t have been too surprised. It hurt to see the looks of resignation on her parent’s faces, they knew they were sending their daughter off to die. If I truly had the moon goddess’ spirit then it meant that I had so much power within me. Surely there had to be something I could do to stop the child from losing her life to do this, right? I couldn’t ask the question out loud because none of them had the answers. The only one who had the answers was Selene, and her soul was still dormant within me. This has to work, for Theia’s sake, for the sake of the pack, for all our futures.We materialised on the Volcano’s crater a split second later, and now that I knew about it, I could feel that it wasn’t part of our realm. ADAIRA~It turned out that the answer to my question was nothing, absolutely nothing was waiting for me on the other side. As I stepped past the boundary, I felt the change as I stepped into another realm, but I just kept floating in a vast space of nothing, present and yet not alive. It was strange. Then I felt Theia’s presence in my mind.“What do you see?” She asked me.I could hear the strain in her voice and was reminded of the fact that she was basically giving her life for me to be able to do this.“Nothing. It’s just empty, I see nothing, I hear nothing, I feel nothing.” I replied to her.“No one knows how you cast the enchantment, Selene. You’re the only one who knows what you hid and why. I only know that you didn’t want anyone else gaining this knowledge before you. It’s hidden as a safety measure. Don’t judge with your eyes, try to access the power within you. Maybe this isn’t to trigger your memories or to find something, maybe it’s just a way to get your powers back. Wh

GAVRAEL~“Don’t even think of trying anything stupid. I can snap your neck without moving a muscle and it will be done before you can even blink.” I warned the woman with an angry growl.Everything about this situation was pissing me the fuck off. Seeing Adaira run off into an unknown situation and scaring half my lifespan from me was the major contributing factor. And then the fact that this woman refused to just answer the questions Adaira was asking her.“There is nothing here for you to find. Just leave us in peace. Go back to your pack, go back to your people and leave me be. I have done nothing wrong to you.” The woman said.Was she stupid? We could literally smell her fear and the fact that she was lying through her teeth. If she had nothing to hide like she keeps insisting, she wouldn’t act like this.“Save your breath. I’ve already told you, we’re not leaving without answers. And you may claim innocence but guilt is written all over you.” Adaira said.She was just as frustra

GAVRAEL~“You must not be in the nether realm before it is time or there is no salvation for the destruction you will wreak on this realm.” Theia said to me when I told her that Adaira would not go anywhere without me.“That’s fucking bullshit! This could be another one of your fucking traps. I’m not putting my mate in danger because of you.”I bellowed and Adaira reassured me that the girl was right.“She will not be in any danger, only her spirit is crossing realms, her body will remain here with you.” Theia said.Her statement was meant to make me feel better but it didn’t. Only Adaira’s please kept me from objecting.“No. Don’t let her do this, I beg you. She’s just a child, she’s my only child.” Theia’s mother began to sob.“Why is it such a big deal? You heard your daughter, this was meant to happen.” Adaira said.“You don’t know, do you?” The father asked her.“Know what?”“In order to guide you on your journey, Theia has to be a conduit for the power you both possess. ADAIRA~I hated it when things like this happened. Why couldn’t she have told me who the so-called dead ones were before vanishing. I get that she was weak and she was barely holding on and needed time to recuperate, but it still irked me that I had no clue what she was talking about. What or who are dead ones? And how would they rise? How do we even fight and kill something that’s already dead? Once again, I had more questions than answers, it was irritating. I felt the glow around me subside, and my normal vision was restored. Then Gavrael stumbled backwards with a hand on his chest and a frown on his face.“What is it?” I asked him with a perplexed look.“Something’s wrong with the pack. We need to return.” He said and my heart skipped a beat.The look on his face made me panic. If Gavrael was worried then something was very wrong. Theia was still unconscious in my arms and Gavrael teleported us back to her parents. They both looked the worse for wear, and the mother seemed weak,

ADAIRA ~ We both moved in that direction when another scream came from a different direction. “Keep going, I’ll check that one out.” Gavrael said to me and turned in that direction. I kept going forward and I caught the scent of blood, I began to run. There was another scent on the wind, it smelled like a rotting corpse. At least the so-called dead ones won’t be hard to identify if they had such a putrefying stench. But when I got close to the pack boundary, I only saw one of the border sentinels on the floor writhing in pain, I didn’t see any attacker. I rushed over to him and got on the floor beside him. He was dying, I could see his soul slowly being unbound from his body. It was a bit unsettling to have a power like this where I could literally see the process of death. “What happened? What did this to you?” I asked as I tried to stop the blood flow even though I knew that it was useless. His gut had been torn out by whatever had attacked him and he wasn’t healing fast enough
