BACK TO THE PACK

I hated it when things like this happened. Why couldn’t she have told me who the so-called dead ones were before vanishing. I get that she was weak and she was barely holding on and needed time to recuperate, but it still irked me that I had no clue what she was talking about. What or who are dead ones? And how would they rise? How do we even fight and kill something that’s already dead? Once again, I had more questions than answers, it was irritating. I felt the glow around me subside, and my normal vision was restored. Then Gavrael stumbled backwards with a hand on his chest and a frown on his face.

“What is it?” I asked him with a perplexed look.

“Something’s wrong with the pack. We need to return.” He said and my heart skipped a beat.

The look on his face made me panic. If Gavrael was worried then something was very wrong. Theia was still unconscious in my arms and Gavrael teleported us back to her parents. They both looked the worse for wear, and the mother seemed weak,
