GAVRAEL~After eating, I could see that Adaira was tired. I convinced her to sleep for a while. She needed the rest to recuperate. I stayed in the room till she was sound asleep, and because I couldn’t resist being close to her, I slid into the bed next to her. Waiting till she fell asleep till I did this was a cowardly move, but I didn’t mind using it. If she had been awake, she may have sent me away, refused to let me sleep beside her. Or she may not have cared if I had done so. Somehow, I didn’t know which I hated most, her rejection, or her nonchalance. The fact that she didn’t stir as I wrapped my arm around her was proof of how exhausted she really was. ADAIRA ~ “It’s okay, we’ll figure it out together. First of all, you need a shower, you’re covered in sweat, and now, so am I.” He said to me as he pulled me closer. I should probably move away from his arms and not let him give me comfort, but I just couldn’t. He was warm, and he stroked my hair so calmly that the panic I felt just eased.
