It's been a grueling week of strenuous exercise and training, my muscles were fatigued and my mind was weary. The once jovial and carefree demeanor of my mate, Dorian, had drastically shifted, and I couldn't help but notice the newfound rigidity in his movements and tone.

When he had gotten the letter then, I was concerned for him, I prodded about the contents of the letter he had received, hoping to glean some insight into his altered behavior. However, Dorian was evasive, only divulging that it was an invitation to a ball his mother had organized in honor of the Alpha king coronation.
