CHAPTER 86

THIRD PERSON POV

It was still night when Elliot heard little murmuring from outside. He slowly walked towards the window to get a glimpse of who might be outside this late, peeking through the dirty and torn curtains.

The moon cast a pale glow over the quiet area, revealing multiple figures standing near the lamppost. Elliot squinted, trying to make out the person's features in the dim light.

Staring at them intently, he noticed that they were armed with weapons, his eyes shooting up remembering that he had taken in someone who was on the run.

As Elliot's heart raced, he quickly realized that the figures outside were likely after the person he had taken in. His mind raced with thoughts of how to protect both himself and the person he had sheltered. He quietly closed the curtains, hoping that they hadn't noticed his presence.

His first instinct was to check on the person he had taken in. He hurriedly made his way to the room where Elizabeth was staying to find her soundly asleep.
