The steps that continued to be carried through the forest slowly began to feel tired and had to stop for a while. A piece of wood on the edge of the road became a temporary seat for Lewis, who had just stopped walking.
Lewis let out a long breath. "If Elena hadn't acted up earlier, I would have arrived at the Blue Blood Pack by now."
Lewis clucked in annoyance as he recalled the incident. He wanted to arrive at the Blue Blood Pack immediately, but even now he had only just reached the forest. It felt like he wanted to see Elena executed as soon as possible so she couldn't make a scene like that again.
"I think I should go now before it gets dark."
Lewis got up from his seat and continued on his way to the Blue Blood Pack. And about thirty minutes later, he arrived at his destination. It didn't take long for Lewis to get there.
"Lewis!" Peter, who happened to be at the border of his pack, smiled widely when he saw Lewis walking towards him.

Gasps of breath sounded noisy in the ears. Sweat poured down the body that was not wrapped in any cloth. Withered eyes looked at each other with a smile on their faces."What ... is your name?" Julie looked deeply into Lewis' eyes."Lewis Adam. Just call me Lewis."Julie nodded and mumbled, repeating the name she had just heard. "Lewis."Lewis gave Julie a gentle peck on the forehead. His smile had been growing ever since, and it didn't fade at all."Lewis, why are you here? Is it because you smelled my scent? But since yesterday, I haven't left my room." Julie furrowed her brows in confusion.Lewis smiled, then went back to gently stroking Julie's hair. "I saw you at the Blood Moon Pack market a few days ago. It was the first time I smelled your scent. However, when I tried to catch up, I couldn't find you.""Blood Moon Pack? You know Blood Moon Pack?"Lewis chuckled. "Of course I do. I'm from there, and I'm a Beta of the pack."Hearing this, Julie's eyes rounded in disbelief. She th
The body lying weakly on the bed continued to attract Chris, who was sitting beside her. Breaths were repeatedly heard faintly, with a hand that continued to gently rub the head of the woman who was looking at him."I'm sorry, because of me, your work has been delayed." Agatha felt guilty that Chris had stayed by her side all this time.Chris sighed with a faint smile. "No problem, babe. I can continue tomorrow.""But you really want to finish it tonight, right?""No, it's okay. Your health comes first. Besides, why are you still insisting on drinking that black coffee when you can't drink it?"Agatha was silent. She did have a history of not being able to tolerate bitter black coffee in her stomach. Agatha has a history of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)."Sorry, I was just curious how it tasted, since you're going to drink it too. I didn't expect that my body would react immediately, even though I only tried one spoonful earlier."Chris sighed heavily. "Next time, don't be like that
A few hours before, footsteps could be heard slowly approaching the room until the door opened. A curious look appeared on the girl's face, at the man who had just entered the room and was approaching her.A big smile appeared on Lewis' face after Dev, one of the Blood Moon Pack elders, contacted him about Chris and Agatha's arrival today. In addition, Dev also teased him and congratulated him for meeting his mate. The joy of being surrounded by a good family cannot be hidden by Lewis."What's wrong?" Julie looked confused. With a smile still on his face, Lewis sat down next to Julie. "Chris and Agatha are coming here today. Get ready to meet them."Julie furrowed her brow. "Didn't you say that Luna was ill and couldn't make it today?"Earlier, Lewis had received news from Chris that Agatha was ill and there was a possibility that they would not be able to visit him today. However, Dev's words just now clearly told him that Chris and Agatha were heading to the Blue Blood Pack."Chris
The sound of footsteps came alternately, revealing Julie with an omega walking behind her, heading towards the living room, meeting Maxton and the others."I got the information from Lewis. He said that-" Maxton's words were interrupted as Julie stood behind him with a faint smile on her face. "Is everything ready?"Julie nodded her head in response. "Would you like to have a chat first?"Before answering his daughter's question, Maxton turned to Chris and Agatha. "Would you like to continue this conversation, Chris?"Chris shook his head at Maxton. "No, we'll continue after we eat. Looks like Lewis is looking forward to eating as well." Chris glanced at Lewis who had been focused on Julie.Of course, Chris' words just now made Lewis look embarrassed and clear his throat. "Well, we still have plenty of time anyway. Let's talk again when our stomachs are full." He got up from his seat and walked over to Julie.Maxton, Chris, and Agatha could only chuckle at Lewis's lovey-dovey behavior
Eyes that kept staring out the window, empty with thoughts that were actually like tangled threads. Agatha struggled with her mind once again, trying to think of what if Elena had really disappeared from this world because of the death sentence given. Would Agatha feel as at peace and free as others thought she would? Or would Agatha feel guilty for taking someone else's life?"Babe?! Are you serious?!"Agatha's words that she wanted to free Elena from the death sentence, managed to make Chris surprised and looked at her disappointed once again. Even though Chris thought they had finished discussing this issue last night, who would have thought Agatha would make such a surprising decision.Meanwhile, Lewis and Julie, who still didn't understand the context of Agatha's words, began to think and associate it with Elena, the only person they knew, who would be put to death in the near future."Agatha, if you are talking about Elena, why did you suddenly make such a decision? Isn't the pu
The sound of footsteps could be heard faintly approaching the guest room that was currently occupied. The door opened, without a knock being given first. It seemed that the person who had just arrived in the room assumed that there was no one inside, when in fact there was Agatha who was dreamily staring out of the bedroom window. With a faint smile and a faint sigh, his steps were brought closer to Agatha. Slowly, his arms were wrapped around her until he embraced her body. "What are you thinking while staring outside alone like this?" Chris's question just now as well as the hug he gave her, managed to bring Agatha back to her senses, then looked back briefly and finally rubbed Chris's arm that was holding her. "I'm sorry about earlier. I'm really sorry." The sudden apology made Chris fade his smile and let go of his embrace. He slowly turned Agatha's body, and hugged her tightly again. "There is no need to be sorry. I should have been able to get closer to you and ask nicely abo
Chris and Agatha's presence in the Blue Blood Pack had reached Elena's ears today, precisely the last night Chris and Agatha were there. Carefully, she eavesdropped on the conversation of the two dungeon guards who had just brought food to her dungeon room."I heard that Alpha and Luna will be back tomorrow." One of the warriors who was on duty in the dungeon, closed the door to Elena's room, after putting the food there. Her coworker, another warrior, nodded his head while casting a quick glance at Elena. "Thank goodness. They have to be here because the execution will take place in a few days."While continuing their conversation, the two warriors walked away from Elena's room and continued to distribute the food they had brought to the other prisoners' rooms.Meanwhile, Elena who had just heard their conversation could only sigh heavily. She almost threw the aluminum tray containing the food as soon as she realized that the day of her execution was almost here."Damn it." Elena sla
A few hours after Chris visited the detention clinic, Elena began to open her eyes. Felix, the doctor who was assigned to stay by her side, immediately checked on her."Doctor, why did you save me?" Elena with her guttural voice, sounding weak asked.Felix looked confused and furrowed his brow slightly. "Isn't it my duty and obligation to save the prisoners from their illnesses?""But I'm going to be executed soon. So why would you make me well, if I'm going to die in a few days anyway?"Felix was silent for a few moments, before continuing to check on Elena's condition without answering her question. "It's done. Your condition is much better than before, Miss. Now, I will report to Alpha Chris first."Just as Felix was about to move, Elena grabbed his sleeve and stopped him in his tracks."What's wrong?" Felix turned his head while glancing at Elena's hand that was holding him."Please don't report anything to him. At least for today. Let me be at peace for one day though. You can re
