Chapter Sixty Two

ALEXANDER'S POV

When I got to my mother's place I had expected the worst to happen as usual. But to my greatest surprise, everything was normal even with my mom. I was ready to defend myself and my wife Helena if anything. I hurriedly got out of the car the moment my driver opened the door for me.

I unbuttoned my suit and headed straight for the main door leading to her mansion, which was one of my dad's favorite glass houses located in the heart of the town. It had a sweet view just like the one in my office, a tiny lake meandering at the left corner with tiny little pebbles tracing each wing.

It was a bit mid-morning-morning as chirps from the birds have not been done. I spotted a tiny bird that had yellow and black wings hopping up to get its daily meal. I smiled and took my eyes away focusing my attention on the direction I was headed.

I pushed the doorbell and it chimed loudly inside. Soon her maid, Theresa, came to get the door.
