It’s another day at work, and unlike she normally would, Avery had a frown on her face as she worked. She was distracted by the thought of having to go to a dance hosted by vampires, with a vampire prince.

Her mood had been soured ever since she struck that deal with him. It had already been three days since she saw the prince and she had never called him. She wasn’t planning to anyways. She could remember getting a phone call from Amber, who did not bother to hide how disappointed she was.

“Is there a problem?” a girl asked as she walked toward Avery, who sat on an empty seat beside the counter.

She had short brown hair, jade green eyes, and smooth pale skin. Her lips were alluring and small. Her eyes looked innocent and caring.

“I’m fine…maybe just exhausted.” Avery told her as she tried to force a small smile but ended up failing miserably. Noticing the frown on the girl’s face, she sighed. “It’s personal,” she said, and the girl nodded.

I can’t believe you are going to a dance with one of the richest men in the world!” Amber exclaimed in excitement as she still couldn’t believe it. Avery smiled slightly at her and sighed. She didn’t want to go to the dance and she wished there was something she could do, to miss it. “You should be happy you know? Not everyone are lucky to have this kind of opportunity.” Amber said to her and Avery smiled, placing her hand on Amber’s . “Thanks.” She said and stood up. She could see a silhouette standing at the door, from the mirror. Whipping her head around, she could see her father, staring at her with a smile on his face. “Dad.” She called and walke

If only they knew he was their leader, they would be bowing before him. He had rescued each and every single vampire, but none of them knew him. Some of the female customers couldn't help but admire his physique. His eyes moved toward the bar section, and he walked over, sitting down on a stool. She glanced at Avery with a look that seemed to want to know why she was with Damien. She had always hated the vampires after her father had been killed by one. Ever since then, she always saw them as bad news and threats. Only she knew that she would never trust a single one of them and if given the chance, she would have them go into extinction. Although she hated Damien for being a vampire, she controlled herself to not say horrible things to him, because of her best friend.“Can we go now?” She asked and Avery nodded with a slight smile on her face.
