Chapter 105Sean was busy cooling his head in a holding cell. His mind was a flurry of activity about last night. He nearly had her. He nearly had Lilian. Chapter 106Damian had a great time in Antonio's place. Antonio was hell-bent on teaching him how to be the best man for Adam and Anna was talking with Lilian. Chapter 108Sunday rolled up faster than anyone expected. Damian was standing in front of the mirror with his suit on. He had to admit, that he liked it and Xavier had very good taste. His suit was modest. Not too flashy and not too dull. "I just want this to all be over. And I have to wear this ridiculous bow tie."Damian adjusted the bow tie for the umpteenth time. Chapter 109Antonio peered into the darkness and suddenly, a masked figure jumped out and grabbed him by the throat. He struggled and tried his best to fight back. The masked figure pushed Antonio to the ground and grabbed a knife from the drawer and tried to proceed upstairs. Antonio grabbed his leg and pulled him to the ground. He managed to stand up and grabbed a frying pan and hit his assailant on the head. The man reeled on the floor and the noise made such a racket that Damian was alarmed and headed downstairs. He met Antonio in a furious battle with a robber and tried to jump in to help. He pulled the robber away from Antonio and unfurled a right hook which the robber dodged. Lilian rushed down and saw the men fighting and was unsure of what to do. Damian twisted the man's arm and the knife fell out of his hand to the floor. Chapter 110The following week was miserable for everyone. Who would guess that after such happiness there would be such sorrow? Everyone was gathered at Antonio's house and was clad in black. Anna was distraught. She was in a black lace dress and she cried her heart out. The warmth of Antonio's home had vanished and all that was left in its place was coldness and sorrow. Damian never would have guessed that he would be the best man at a wedding and now attend the funeral of the one person who was actually like a father to him.Lilian stood by his side, her eyes were full of tears. Chapter 111 Damian was up early. Lilian was in bed with him and she felt him wake up. She sat up and rubbed her eyes and saw him heading to the bathroom to brush his teeth. He was still silent and hurt and she decided that it was best not to bother him. She left and headed to her room to get ready. It was the day of Sean's trial and she was going with him.
